Sat Dec 02 2006More stupid than racist. . .but can't get less than 3 stars on the list. . .oh, Rock tells jokes that are funny because he makes generalizations aobut all races and doesn't pick on anyone in particular at an audience- that's cowardice. Richards didn't come close to that- he reacted like a scared child who was too scared to beat up a bully so he resorted to crying and screaming. . .nothing more pathetic than hiding behind the microphone and having your incorrect and inappropriate words dissected and then offer false excuses- just ask your president.

Thu Nov 30 2006Don't forget, Jesse Jackson told us all not to buy Seinfeld- Season 7 on DVD. Its on the little ad board for this item and you should all boycott it, because as we all know Seinfeld and racism go hand in hand. Now, to the topic. He lost it ONE TIME and now its like he's suppossed to go to therapy sessions with John Rocker or something? I'm not buying it...

Wed Nov 29 2006Some people have tried to make excuses for Michael Richards outburst 2 weeks ago in an LA comedy club. He was an inexperienced comedian who didn't know how to react to hecklers, or that comedic minds tend to exist on the verge of insanity. I don't know; I believe that this demonstrates that Richards at the very least has some latent prejudices that came out at the heat of the moment. If he wasn't a bigot, the first thing to come out of his mouth wouldn't have been a string of racial epithets. Some have said that saying the word “nigger” doesn’t necessarily mean that the person saying it is necessarily a bigot. They say that because some blacks use it to describe other blacks, that it is not a derogatory racial term. But the key is that you have to look at the context that the word is being used in, and how it’s being used. Looking at the tape, I think it’s clear that Richards outburst wasn’t comedic in nature. That he apologized afterwards proves the intent. Most of us know... Read more

Wed Nov 29 2006Something for future comedians to remember, if you're going to get heckled, don't lose your cool, and don't say anything you're going to regret later.

Wed Nov 22 2006He's been sitting in the toilet career-wise since the end of Seinfeld - his only real success story by the way. This little escapade was tantamount to reaching up and flushing. Not much time at his age to start over. I say, shut up and quit while you're ahead Richards - your day has come and gone. Hope you invested or can live off the residuals. In the immortal words of Bugs Bunny – What a maroon!

Wed Nov 22 2006a 2.5. yes he lost it and said some racial slurs. not a good to do. but it does seem to be double sided. I have heard black comedians make a whole routine out of making fun of white people and that is accepted. heck even I laugh at some of the jokes. Michael made a mistake making remarks in anger. and apologised. I hope he is not burnt at the stake for the rest of his life. yes he should not have said what he said. but it would be unfortunate to make him pay forever.

Wed Nov 22 2006Richards is a picture perfect example of the old adage: It isn't the mistakes you make in life that count, it's who you make them in front of.

Tue Nov 21 2006Boy, did he ever put his foot in his mouth! Suddenly, I view him in a very different light. I'm sure he is sorry, and I don't think it is unforgivable, but it will definitely hurt his career, and maybe even his personal life to some degree. He just went bonkers!

Tue Nov 21 2006Clearly the man thinks he's above having people dislike his style. He's a comedian for crying outloud, don't they teach them about hecklers? If he can't handle the pressure, he needs to keep off the stage...

Tue Nov 21 2006True comedic minds exist on the cusp of insanity. It's usually funny because it's so bitingly true, at its most base level. Richards is a performer. Addicted to the approval and the attention of the audience. A week ago he was a brilliant comedic actor trying to transition to the world of stand-up comedy, rather like a tightrope walk without a net. Today, he's a racist. Never been to a comedy club? When you heckle the performer, he focuses everyone's attention on you, belittling you in an effort to "control" the attention of the audience. Deal with it, many have before, many will tomorrow, and the next day, and the next day. Oh, it's too vicious for you? Too racial? Oh, I see. Try attending the stand-up acts of some mid-level black comedians. And tell me that Richards is a racist. Grow up, America, this is where the big boys play. If Richards must apologize, should not the hecklers? Or is that perfectly alright ? The talking heads love it and will capitalize on it. ... Read more

Tue Nov 21 2006As if that isn't bad enough, he came back a second night and didn't bother to apologize? Finally after letting everyone stew over it, they show a clip from the Letterman Show on the news with some lame excuse that he was being heckled and lost his temper?
