I usally don't mind his films. However he can be very condscending. I can't speak for the rest of the general public but, don't patronize me Mike!!!!

Another one that's not a politician but has wedged his fat ass into politics. Any time I see his name I can't help but think of Mary McCarthy's comment about Lillian Hellman, "Every word she writes is a lie, including "the" and "and".

Michael Moore is or at least was a member of the New Hampshire Legislature.  I thought he was just stupid and had no idea of his national reputation.  When did he go national?  Last time I heard of him he was babbling about raccoons depredating sweet corn in Southern New Hampshire.

I think I reviewed him as a tub-o-lard in a previous review.  I retract that.  He's a stupid tub-o-lard.  The most stupid thing about Michael Moore is that he thinks he's actually important.

Doesn't belong on this list due to the fact that he is a filmmaker and not a politician.  Although it's still fascinating how the right claims him as a boogeyman whilst Moore trashed Bill Clinton. . .

If Hurricane Gustav is not bad enough for the unfortunate people of the Gulf Coast, you then see Michael Moore hit an all-time low as far as being a fat, vindictive, and obnoxious pig. So what does he do? He tackles some tough issues, I give him that. But at the same time he lies and manipulates the facts so much it is ridiculous. Also, he is a major hypocrite and claims to be from Flint, MI (which is a blue-collar town) but is actually from Davidson, MI (suburbia). I do not like politicians, and he does rip on a lot of them, but he leans way left and they are just as bad as the conservatives.

This guy has balls the size of cantaloupes! With every political movie he makes every conservative republican frets for there war mongering stocks and investments in killing machines. He has discovered a way to exploit the governments method of "If it's tragic and pathetic then you can bet it's profitable".

He pushes political trash that imbeciles rant and rave about, so he's not too dumb.   He makes money by appealing to the weak minded.  Lots of those around, wouldn't you agree?

Is this man really stealthy enough to slip through the fingers of the American public unnoticed? He has the inate ability to bring public stoning back into style.

If he's such a terrible director, why does he have more comments than any other director on this list??? Even if you don't care for his politics, you have to give him credit for: 1. Propaganda skills 2. Drawing attention to issues ignored by the mainstream media and 3. Looking out for his hometown of Flint Michigan, the most pissed-on city in America.

Prior to Fahrenheit 911 Moore was not that polarizing. Roger and Me, and whatever his other documentory was, didn't have conservatives freaking out. The Republican Election Stratigists made him into a Liberal Boogie Man. It worked superbly. How many lessons can Democrats learn from Republican opinion shaping? I hope enough.

Maybe the best reason to vote Republican.

Look at some of the ridiculous comments left by conservative people here. "A liar and a traitor. In better times, he'd have been hanged." "Moore ripped the title from Ray Bradbury without even consulting him. Bradbury is outraged." "911 is obvilusly Moore's weight in kilograms" To the idiots who complain about him "cleverly editing" his movie to make a point, of course hes going to do that. Hes a liberal with an agenda, to make conservatives seem like fools and crooks. To believe in a movie or person wholeheartedly is just plain stupid...you have to take everything with a grain of salt. I watched his 9-11 "documentary" and I know its far from the truth, but its entertaining for me to watch republicans be portrayed the way I already viewed them.

Michael Moore is an extremist that gives liberals and Democrats alike a bad reputation. I'm a liberal Democrat myself, and I have been lumped together with this man many times - often by people who don't even know me. It's one thing to disagree with Bush and his policies. It's another to accuse him of having a hand in one of the worst tragedies our country has ever seen (9/11). I don't like Bush or many of his policies and I didn't vote for him in 2004, but I don't think he was responsible for 9/11. I understand that Moore also called the terrorists who were killing our men and women in uniform "freedom fighters" (was that Moore?). Again, I don't really support this war in Iraq, but saying something like that borders on treason. And I'm not one to call someone a traitor at the drop of a hat. I don't think much of Moore or his extremist opinions.

The worst thing is he is dishonest. A documentarian can offer his/her opines on film, but documentaries based on origination functionally are the separation of single sided opinion and the in fact are meant top be presentation of pure facts from both sides. He has that fat ignored boy at school mentality that makes him over appeal things for approval from his base that he never got in the real world of competition and performance. He panders and hams all traits never found in a true documentarian. He fakes it for approval from a known supportive and activist base.

Real bad because he seems to revel in his lack of a formal education. It's not that he doesn't have a quick mind. It's that his brain has been filled with BS that he would recognize the true nature of if he knew something about deduction and critical thinking.

This guy is a direputable bum.

Anyone who actually cares whether or not their government is screwing up and screwing them would be lucky to have one intelligent person who cares and who pays attention and who can uncover the truth for all of us...for Americans, that guy is Michael Moore! Some people assume Moore just writes propaganda, but the best thing about him is that he fills his books with nothing but well-researched facts! In times like these when we often can't trust what politicians say, it's great to have one honest man who sticks to the facts and points out the important things we need to know but won't find in any newspaper. Moore perfected the documentary smear technique. Take two true or partly true independent facts and link them together to imply cause or effect. His movies are filled with this kind of intellectual dishonesty.

Documentary means cut and pasting words together until someone says what you want them to say.

i've seen a part of Fahrenheit 9/11, it was awful. And saw a bit of canadian bacon. Did i mention he takes titles from other movies? Have you ever heard of Fahrenheit 451? And Dude, wheres my car? He took away those titles and put them into another way which make no sense at all.

People hate Michael Moore but he should be commended for being very straight foward and demanding answers and explanations to the simplist questions. Moore is refreshing because he's taken to asking the questions the media is too afraid to ask. He's someone many more Americans should like. He's a populist man of the people. The people who should really hate him are the Rich because he calls out big business and those that make money at the expense of the underclass.
