I like Mexican food a lot, but it can give me heartburn with all the grease.

Mexican food is great, whether it is done quickly as fast food or as a more formal sit down meal. Its hard to go wrong with Mexican, and it is definitely one of my favorite cuisines.

Depending on the region, there are many very different cuisines in The United States of Mexico. All of them have something to offer, but I'm partial to comidas criollas from the south east.

You can get some pretty stinking good Mexican food in Arizona and I take advantage of this fact.

Solid choice. . .although the menu is somewhat limited, I enjoy it periodically but couldn't eat it on a consistent basis. . .

Along with Italian food, Mexican food is a gift from the gods. Find a good family owned place and you can't go wrong. Even Taco Bell is ok if you can't find anything better to satisfy a craving. I'd like to open a place that caters to both Italian and Mexican food lovers. Maybe I'll call it "Enchilada a la Luigi" or "Jose's Trattoria".

I don't know why but I just do not like Mexican food. If does not look very good and I don't like the smell either. A lot of it looks like some thing a baby hurled up, I have a lot of friends who are of Mexican descent so its not a race thing.

Tastes good, but my stomach always winds up reviling the rest of me. Good thing to serve if you've got guests you don't particularly want to see coming, and you'd like to spend a half hour on the can reading a book instead. Absurdly rare in the Boston area, and when you do find it, it tends to be subpar, though there isn't much trouble in finding other types of food there. There's more of it in Indianapolis because that city has a pretty big Mexican population, but I haven't tried any yet.

I'm not a huge fan of home cooking mexican food. But i do love a lot of Mexican restaraunts. And there's a mexican restaraunt in Waterford, Michigan and it is awesome. The best tacos, and chips and salsa i have ever eaten.

Mexican cuisine has some things to offer, but much of the stuff just doesn't do anything for me. Most of it is far too spicey hot for me.

If we can count Margaritas as food, I'd give it 5 stars. But we can't and I'm not a big fan of Mexican Food. That's more of a personal problem as I detest hot green peppers and onions, a mainstay in about 99% of Mexican dishes. I do like meat-only fajitas, Chorizo (Mexican sausage) and Cheese Quesadillas, but that's about it. But everyone I know loves it, so I'll not totally slam-dunk my rating based on my weird personal tastes. Of course, I know to stay out of confined, unventilated spaces with someone who has just enjoyed a big Mexican meal.

I recall eating it at a Mexican Fiesta. They had the most delicious bread combined with a spicy cheese. They had real nachos with the hottest salsa. It was the tastiest meal I had.

To the boneheads out there, Taco Bell is NOT Mexican food. This is a great meal with old friends, with multiple rounds of Tecate and a shot of Mezcal to finish. Hits all the pleasure centres and is unhealthy as all hell.

I think Mexican food is awesome ! I cook and/or eat Mexican food at least 3 nights a week, the other 4 nights go to American food. :) I recommend Mexican food to the whole family.

Great food. But you have to admit that all mexican dishes are composed of the same ingredients.

I really do not enjoy any Mexican dish at all. Most of it gives me indegestion. I really do not like Taco's. Taco Bell and that annoying mutt made me hate them worse. I do like rice, but that's all I can think of. I can understand why people love this though, especially southerners. Its just not in my taste buds.

Rice, Beans, Tortilla, and meat...wrap it in a bunch of different shapes, call it something different. Despite it's amazing simplicity, mexican food manages to kick ass every time. It's almost as much fun on the way out too.

authentic mexican food is pretty unbeatable. i love homemade tortillas and all kinds of spicy mexican dishes. i'm not crazy about menudo, though. something about the texture of the meat just doesn't sit well with me. mexican food restaurants, as well as tex-mex foods are super common where i'm at, so sometimes i get a little burned out on it. but when you gotta have enchiladas, fajitas, stuffed sopapillas, mexican rice, etc, you just gotta have it vato!!!

having lived in texas for a few years, i've had the real thing. it seems like we've americanized every form of cuisine, but i think that mexican food has probably suffered the greatest. where i live, these people think that taco bell is mexican food....at any rate, i think it's probably second or third (chinese and maybe italian rank above it)

I would really give Mexican food about a 4.5. It is my second favorite type of cuisine. We are lucky to live in a fairly large city so we have a pick of some real good authentic Mexican cuisine restaurants. I love how most Mexican restaurants provide a bowl of tortilla chips and salsa to munch on while you wait for your meal. My personal favorites are Tacos, cheese enchiladas, sometimes a wet burrito. There a lot of great tasting Mexican dishes.

Mexican is one of my favorite types of food. I love all kinds of tortillas, fajitas, and especially their tobasco sauce. If you go to any kind of Mexican restaurant, you can receive great, spicy food that is thoroughly enjoyable.

Simple, cheap and tasty to the max! From a couple of tacos to a large plateful of beans, rice, and enchiladas smothered in cheese - I can’t think of a single dish I don’t love. The best I ever had was no doubt in Texas. But we’re even getting a lot of really great, authentic little restaurants right here in the mid-west these days. Judging by the good business they’re doing – I’m not the only one who enjoys this wonderful south of the border cuisine.
