Mon Mar 12 2012Mix this vodka with orange juice, and PLENTY of straight lemon juice, and its just like a regular orange juice. you can put as much in there as you want, as long as you got some lemon juice you will never know. It may leave you with a terrible hangover but then again what doesnt? for $12 you cant go wrong!

Sat Sep 10 2011This vodka is smooth and neutral. Great for mixed drinks. We addopted this vodka in our boating and fishing club to the point were people that drinked rum, scotch and premium vodkas have switched to McCormik. We were very skeptical at the begining due to the price and that it comes in a plastic bottle :? Also, the brand only reminds you of spices. We mix this vodka with orange juice, graprfruit juice, lemon juice or cranberry juice. It is a hit! The next day you do not have a hang over like premium vodkas. We are from Ponce, Puerto Rico and we buy this vodka by the case :)

Fri Apr 01 2011Rat urine, from a very unhealthy rat. Consider yourself fortunate if you don't go blind drinking this porchclimber.

Fri Dec 10 2010We generally use vodka as a mixer and so tend to get Smirnoff. We'd been wanting to try the filtering experiment, so tonight we got the cheapest Brita filter we could find and a bottle of McCormick's. Upon opening the bottle, we immediately noticed that it smelled very strongly like rubbing alcohol. No way would I drink that. We decided to go through with the experiment and put it through the filter 4 times. Guess what - it still smells like rubbing alcohol. Guess what else - I'm still not drinking it. I had a bottle of Aristocrat, and thought THAT was some harsh, nasty stuff. It's like top shelf in comparison to McCormick's. I can't believe anybody would say McCormick's is good, smooth, not overly different from more expensive brands, etc. Let me reiterate - IT SMELLS LIKE RUBBING ALCOHOL. It might as well come with a flashing neon sign that says "Don't Drink This Swill." I understand that you get what you pay for, and remember that this was supposed to be an experiment, but I never e... Read more

Mon Mar 01 2010ok, I was shocked. I bought a fifth of this Vodka (— the regular, quadruple distilled variety for under seven bucks) with the intention of experimenting with it with some distillery grade activated carbon to see if I could get it to compare with the higher-end vodkas. I had a bottle of Grey Goose to test against. So I did a side by side test with the un-adultrated McCormicks (straight out of the bottle) and although I could tell a slight difference between the two, it wasn't a disappointing one. I was drinking the two straight out of the freezer neat in a martini glass. I will say that the McCormick was probably more neutral without much personality, but it is vodka after all. If you want personality drink some gin :-) The Grey Goose as noted, had more of a characteristic flavor — light notes of vanilla — but made into a traditional martini with a touch of dry vermouth and an olive, i was hard pressed to note any difference between the two. It will be interesting to see what the activ... Read more

Tue Sep 08 2009Can't help but recall the program I saw on the History Channel where this stuff was dyed blue and smuggled into Russia as windshield washer fluid then the dye was filtered out and it was sold as bootleg hooch. This was done with the knowledge of the distiller by the way. I'll think I'll protect my health and drink windshield washer fluid instead.

Mon Jun 29 2009After tasting Aristocrat vodka tonight, I long for a bottle of McCormick's. It would probably taste like Absolut to me now, that is, if I could get the bad taste from the Aristocrat out of my mouth. I bought a small bottle of McCormick's last week and it's really not bad if you are mixing a cocktail and it is reasonably priced. Tasted great with Ruby Red grapefruit juice. Just go into a store like Walgreen's and try the small 200ml bottle they keep behind the counter and, if you don't like it, you're only out $2.50.

Tue Apr 28 2009I used to live in the po-dunk town where this piss-in-a-bottle was made. Everyone thought it was awesome. It tastes terrible. It is cheap because they cut so many corners making it and it shows. It burns all the way down and is very harsh. Reeks of rubbing alcohol. It's only tolerable when you mix it. Which is what most people do with it. Some pour half into a gadorade bottle. Others show up with generic fruit juice for mixing. I saw this plenty of times drinking underage in a barn. I've grown up. And so have my tastes. Avoid this vodka at all costs.

Sun Aug 03 2008it isn't bad if you run it through a Brita Filter 3 or 4 times... but if you don't it will burn like hell going down... if you do get a filter for filtering vodka, do not switch over to water unless you want the water to taste like the stuff you where filtering

Wed Oct 24 2007Horrendous but extremely cheap. It's slightly better than Barton's, which isn't saying much. Leaves you with a nasty hangover.

Sun Oct 14 2007tastes awful, burns better than gasoline, but great price and totally worth it if you want to get fucked up.

Sat Jul 07 2007It is pretty smooth for the cheap price. It compares better than other cheap vodka brands (TK, Skol, Bartons, Pompav, Heaven Hill, etc.). If you are unlike MrRambo below here and do not have 40 bucks to spend on expensive vodka you can shoot, run it through a Brita filter about three times.

Sat May 05 2007You seeing what other people think of McCormick's Vodka? You really don't like lfe today, huh. Save your $4.10 for a couple pints of beer instead.

Thu Aug 10 2006Getting this for $12 dollars a handle is reason enough to buy it. But put it down my own Gullet? NO! This is what I serve the people who come over to get plastered, and do not know how to enjoy a good drink. Stick with Skyy or Grey Goose, if you like to enjoy what you drink. Keep this cheap trash for the idiots who think wal-mart clothes are as good as designer.

Wed Mar 15 2006I was pleasantly surprised by the smooth taste of McCormick's, especially considering the low price. It has become my "vokda of choice".

Thu May 17 2001this is a good value for the dollar......mccormick's has a huge american distillery, and produces the vodka for quite a few big name brands - brands that retail over $20.....guess these folks have picked up a few tricks from the designer brands..... i find their vodka has a smooth, fresh body, and a clean finish with just a hint of character.....and at these prices, i don't feel reluctant to mix up a batch of bloody marys....this should be a house staple......
