i got exactly what i wanted in the end,we had to spend a little time talking about our ideas , which they took as much time that was needed,they didn't rush on my hair at all,the color was great and i love my cut,if you are very specific about what you want,just take time to communicate what you want and you should love it!!!!!!!!

The guy that cut my hair had no idea what he was doing. Mt sister got her hair cut at the same time and it looked worse then before the cut. They only take cash but have no change for larger bills. I would not recommend this salon to anyone!!

I went in with a picture of what I exactly wanted. The base color that they gave me turned out to be a bit darker than what the picture showed but I was happy to get the color out of my hair that had been driving me crazy. It was more expensive than I thought it would be but oh well I paid for what I asked for, I think =). I was pleased, and now, a few months later I like the way the color looks even more. They were extremely nice to me and I felt comfortable. I have a ton of hair and they worked well with it. Nothing over the top, but like I stated above, it was good. My highlights were placed nicely around my face and I'm sure I will go back. I do think though, that 4 stars is too much yet 3 too little so i leaned towards 4 because I had to choose. Overall, I would go again and i would recommend it.

I recently moved to Dallas and was very nervous to find a good hair dresser that would meet up to my high expectations after going for a very long time to an excellent salon in the Atlanta area. Brannon, aside for being very pleasant went out of his way to give me the hair style I wanted to re-shape and touch up my highlights with out me telling him much. Very pleased and would definetely recommend it. Thank you Brannon! !

I as well as my family and closest friends have been going to Matthew Tully Salon for five years. I have literally had every stylist in there help with my hair or style do to the fact that I am one of there neighbors and am always around. To many salons this would be annoying and intrusive but at Matthews salon they greet me with a smile and accommodate me everytime. I haved lived in Los Angeles as well as my brother and have gone to every supposed hot shot salon in West LA and Beverly Hills and can say when we would fly home we always had an appointment booked with Matt's salon. I have always referred my friends and family to this salon and will continue to in the future because i know that they are the best in Dallas.

I went to Matthew Tully for years. When the main talent (Brian) recently left the salon I was very disappointed. I tried a different stylist but they were average. Matthew has even done my hair and I was not impressed. At all. There are better options in Dallas that have a much nicer salon, cooler vibe and more talent. When Brian left the salon they lost the best colorist in town. I won't go back.

I have been going to Matthew Tulley Hairdressing for almost 6 years! I have never had a bad style! Matt is so nice and full of ideas and knowledge. Ian has been my lifesaver many times! He listens to me, and all my demands, and makes my hair even better than I could imagine. He is a true artist! I have so much fun everytime I go to the salon!

When I relocated to Texas from Florida nearly 3 years ago, I was dreading the hunt for a new stylist. I was referred to a place by a former friend and it turned out to be a hack job. I had no clue where to turn when a co-worker referred me to Tonia, who was able to fit me in immediately. Once in the chair, I received a full evaluation of my cut, color, highlights, etc. I was so impressed with the time Tonia took to listen, evaluate and make recommendations. The rest is history...I look forward to my appointments and catching up with Tonia on life. She always listens to what I am contemplating doing to my hair and then she gives me her expert opinion. I've been going to Tania for over 2 years now, Matt also did my hair for my wedding, and all I can say is that my hair always turns out beautifully. I don't even tell Tania what I want anymore. I trust her with my cut & color and like I said I'm always blown away!! I moved to Houston last year and I still drive up once a month to get my hair done with her and I wouldn't go to anyone else. I love the atmosphere and I absolutely love being there--oh and I love the compliments that I get on my hair....

Oh Thank Goodness!!! After the upsetting departure of my long term Dallas and a couple of horrendous cuts elsewhere I think I have gotten lucky again! I visited Colby at Matthew Tully hoping that my 1980?s throwback cut would disappear and I would once again by current and look 30 (my age!), not 60 ? which was happening! He actually listened to me! Shocking I know :-) I have curly hair and I don?t like to spend hours on it every day. Wash, minimum style, Go! He went through my hair looking at what had been done previously and he was able to see the problems I was talking about from the old cut. He then proceeded to fix it! I woke up this morning and washed and left! It is still looking great and not lank and miserable asit had the past few months. I now have a cute cut that looks like me and feels like me and I love it. I am really glad I met Colby, because for the first time in months I feel cute again (thanks to his great cut!)!

I have been a client of Tonia's for 5 or so years and my husband has been a client of Matt's for about 7 years. I cant say enough about both of them. Not only are they great people, but they are amazing hair stylists!! I always walk out of the salon with an amazing hair cut and color. My husband and I refer EVERYONE we know because we know the great level of service they will receive. If you are looking for a new stylist give Matt, Tonia or Ian a try you wont be sorry!

I have been a client of TANIA Tully's since the salon opened, and I was shocked to read the review entitled "Bait & Switch." I have NEVER had a bad experience with her and my cut and color always comes out looking great! In fact, I had to ask Tania for some of her business cards because I am constanly being asked who my hairdresser is....everyone loves my hair! I have reffered over a dozen friends including my mother and mother-in-law! We all love Tania and would not go to anyone else. Don't believe that awful review....I have never EVER seen Tania in a bad mood and she is ALWAYS on time with a smiling face...she is an amazing stylist and an even better person! I would rather have 3 inch roots than go to anyone else!

I've been going to Tania for over 5 years and she is wonderful. Not only is she one of the most genuine, sweet people I know, she understands my hair issues and I always walk out of there looking great. I recommend her to everyone and they love her! I don't know what I would do without her. Matthew is a great guy and they always make me feel right at home. Very professional.

O M G i just went in yesterday and its totally new in there.The staff has changed for the better.Its so amazing what a few negative people can do to a salon.The people now are full of life and energy and the service was like never before.I changed hairdressers because my old one left and I got a haircut from matthew that was at a new level.He even showed me where my old cut was out of balance.I didnt know salon service could be this great!!!!Matthew has transformed the salon.

first of all, it took forever to get a descent appt. I was able to get in once before w/ Matt. I wanted a new look,but on my second appt. unaware of it, I was booked w/ his wife Tonya. She came in 15 mins. late with a million bags and it took another 10 mins before she got me in the chair.Now I'm running about an half hr. late.Then I told her the way I wanted my hair cut and even showed her a picture, and asked her could she do that "cut".....she said oh yeah!! The whole time she was hacking on my head she was complaining about EVERY THING!! When she was done, I almost started CRYING!! Not only that, matt had to come over an fix the whole haircut. I don't know if matt & tonya were fighting before hand, but it was not good. After that tonya started on her next hair cut and matt was still cutting on me. VERY,VERY UNHAPPY

I have been going to Matt for about 7 years. You have to be very open minded and trust him to do whatever he wants to your hair. He is very sweet and his staff is great! I only trust him with my hair and I can be very picky. He is well worth the money, dont trust the mean review (s)

Refered to Matthew Tully from a friend.I got uneven highlights & the same haircut she has!!!!Not worth the money or the wait to get an appt.

matthew tully has done my hair twice now and wow am i happy.the time he takes on me makes me feel special.he is very particular with his cuts and color too.trust him to do anything you want he is very capable and well rounded.be prepared to pay for great hair its worth every dollar!!!!!

I went to Matthew Tully 5 months before my wedding hoping I would get the best cut and color a bride could have, instead I had the worst experience of my lifetime! Initially I tried to schedule a consultation only but was informed there would be a 6 week wait unless I booked an actual cut and/or color appointment. I therefore scheduled both a cut and color and when I arrived was told he only had time for a cut and I would have to reschedule for color. How frustrating, but I was trying to find someone I could trust to do my hair for the wedding and felt I should give it another try and not give up! Unfortunately I wish I had moved on because he did a awful job, I still had roots showing and when I called the next day to discuss it with him he was offended and said he would tear up my check and I could go somewhere else! As I am new to Dallas, I was nervous to turn myself over to a new salon, but Brian did an excellent job! I'm thrilled with my new 'do and will definately be back. Everyone was very friendly and helpful at the salon. One note: They only accept cash or personal check. I didn't have either, but they directed me to a nearby ATM, and it was no big deal at all.

Dallas salon offers haircuts, curls and coloring as well as lip and eyebrow waxing on top of other services.

Ian has been styling my hair for the past two years and I won't go anywhere else! I get at least one compliment a week from random people admiring my 'do. He always listens to what I want and my hair has never been healthier. I have to give kudos to the rest of the staff at Matthew Tully too. Matt, Tania, Daren, Brian, Mike and Christy are FABULOUS! Hands down the best salon in Dallas!

I have been going to Darren at Matthew Tully for about 2 years now. I don't like to think about my hair, and Darren is happy to create styles that are interesting and flattering, but easy to maintain. Additionally, and unlike previous hairdresers I have had, he can suggest and implement a new style when I am bored of my last one. For two years, I have routienly recieved compliments on my hair styles. Although pricer than supercuts, I don't find what he charges to be overly so considerting his location and talent. However, for the price, what you get is a great hair cut, not spa-style amenities like scalp massages (although you can get a glass of wine if you want it).

Last week I got a cut and color at Mattew Tulley from Daren. The cut is modern and easy to maintain. The color is fantastic! Daren really took time to listen to what i wanted.

I was in Dallas for a month after Hurricane Katrina and got an appoint with Darren at Matthew Tully. Darren found just the right color for my highlights (I'm a brunette w/ blonde highlights..) and gave me a great layered cut.. he really took the time to listen to what I wanted. The next day, I received compliments from the moment I arrived at work. I even had women in my office asking where I got my cut and for the phone number. I highly recommend this salon to anyone looking for a colorist or a stylish, but easy to mantain cut.

Matt is a wizard. On the expensive side BUT absolutely worth every penny. I was looking for a someone who could give me a hairstyle not just a haircut. I was not disappointed. Highly recommend Matt and his staff.

The Staff at this salon is wonderful. The atmosphere is very cool and everyone is friendly. The stylist are very talented and really help you achieve the look you want. Overall, the experience was great and my hair looks amazing!

The customer service is superb! Not only did I leave looking fantastic on my first visit, but the staff made me feel at home...as if they already knew me well. Within a few minutes Matt told me what changes he would like to make to my current style. He showed me a picture, gave me his reasons, explained the need for color, and then miraculously asked me what I thought/needed and actually listened with care. The very next day I received several compliments. In fact, I had two young ladies tell me the hairstyle was so perfect for me that they could not imagine my hair any other way. Now really, can it get any better?!

Sure, it's a cool place filled with cool, beautiful people. But Matt and his staff are down-to-earth, great, genuinely likeable people and his skills are simply killer.
