Long movie. Way too much moronic talking. What didn't Neo kill that horrible Frenchman? Or that Number One Dude? Otherwise it is at least a four for the fighting and special effects but more like a two for the dialogue.

Had some redeeming qualities but they really should have stopped at the first.

Utter garbage. Pseudo philosophy that wouldn't fool an intelligent junior high-school student. Should have been called "Matrix Regurgitated"

Ah, The Matrix Retarded. One good fight, the freeway chase, and outrageous cleavage from Monica Bellucci save it from total oblivion.

The fight scenes are mind-blowing. Worth watching again and again.

so disapointing. An uttershame to the Matrix series. Theres just too much philophsyical, religious things and just no enough hard core sci-fi. The scene I really didn't understand was the the whole 'dance floor' scene. The only positive thing i can say about it is that it interdouced some new okay charcters... whoopie.

This is the result if a movie is far more popular than its creators originally though and decide to bolt on a sequel. I went to see this with high expectations and was very dissapointed. The creators of this have tried to stick far too much pseudo philospohical cogitation into the film at the expense of the plot. I enjoy films that have big ideas as long as the ideas are integrated into the plot and above all the film is entertaining. If I need a lecture on the philosophical nature of choice than I'll go to a lecture. If I wan't an entertaining film than I'll steer clear of the Matrix reloaded.

I tend not to like movies that are to be continued... because the second and third movie usually sucks. but I was impressed with Matrix reloaded. it made me look forward to the last one.

Honestly, it was way over the top. I did not enjoy it at all. It was cold and I didn't feel good at all watching this movie. Great effects, no question but I so did not care for the story. Trinity is my favorite character.

It was pretty good. I saw it at IMAX. The highway chase scene is a trip and a half on that screen.

The effects are great and the story is a little vague but compelling. Not as good as the first one but most of the suprises are gone, you've seen it in the first one. Typical 2nd part of a trilogy leaves you with more questions then answers.

The Zion section, while I may not understand or agree with the orgy, also shows The One becoming One with the Trinity after returning to Zion. I probably would agree that some of the stuff didn't make sense in the movie, like unnesessary fighting (Neo and Seriph), however after the fight was a wise saying, You do not truly know someone until you fight them. This is true. The movie had a physical fight, but when we argue and become upset, we begin to curse others and call them morons, if that's in our nature. I know many believe that all of that action was uncalled for. However, I have to be on the side of the directors. When do you get the chance to make a movie about everything you believe and have the budget to pull off every special effect you ever dreamed? I had to make my judgement on this movie being a continuatiion of the 1st and the half through point before the ending. With that in mind, I give it a fair rating.

Didn't expect that big dance scene which was basically a massive orgy only without the actual penetration being seen. How come the people outside of the matrix know when the enemy will shoot but they can't track that Smith guy even when he's right behind them? They also can't tell that Smith did something to that one guy which lead to his betrayal. I hope they bother to explain Neo's little trick with the sentinels in the end.

I was throughly disappointed coming out of the theatre after watching this film. I loved the first movie and expected a lot from the second. All I saw was a weird storyline with no solid plot and action scenes that were randomly placed (like the fight scene neo had with the asian guy.....that went on for five minutes then the guy said he just wanted to check he was the real neo and that he could see the oracle) what kind of purpose did that have??? But if there is anything to salvage from this waste of a couple of hours.....it was the fight scene of neo and agent smith (or should I say smiths?!) wow. They promised it was going to be big, and it was. Honestly the only part of the movie I enjoyed.

I found the first installment of the Matrix series somewhat wanting, but compared to this, the movie was a masterpiece. The special effects are pretty good, but FX does not makeup for dialog or story line. The movie leaves a terrible Next week on star trek type of cliff hanger, and the entire plot line leading up to the climax of the movie was shown in snip-its. I will see the final installment, but I cannot say I will like it if it turns out to be anything like this piece of manure.

Great action and soundtrack. Well acted, despite Keanu Reeves' presence. Surpised Monica Belluci's role didn't require her to runn around half naked in it. Gloria Foster (the Oracle) will be missed.

The first Matrix was overrated, and this one was even worse. Non sensical plot, ridiculous fight scenes, unnecessary dialogue. But it will make 300 million dollars worldwide. Go figure.

It was good...but not as good as the first one. They went a little overboard with the special effects, and that whole love/rave scene could've been left out...or at least shortened.

I thought the movie was great..sorry for those who couldn't follow it...reading more books might help...the only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is that I felt that the love scene was not needed. I like romance movies, but the highlight in the Matrix is plot, not skin.

I really liked the first Matrix and i don't know what I was expecting with this one but I was a little bit disappointed in the storyline. The whole love story thing was a little much. Although it pretty much explained itself in the end. I also love when movies start with excitement and then do that whole "explain what happened in the end thing" I think after the third one comes out a lot of things in the movie that seemed like they were going nowhere will be explained so I'm not really that upset. Okay, I will admit that i really liked the love scene (that's just because I could see myself in Trinity's place *hee* I love that man) It wasn't terrible but it also wasn't the first Matrix either. But that happens a lot with sequels because the first movie is always something new and then the second and third movies go into the story more so they have to do different stuff to keep the audience's attention. Anyway, I give it 2 thumbs up!

It simply did not match up correctly to the first matrix... the first matrix did not explain half the stuff going on in the second one. I didn't feel like they flowed together... and the ending of matrix 2 just showed how much they want to milk out of their viewers

I think what separates Matrix Reloaded from the majority of Hollywood blockbusters out there is that not only were there jaw dropping special effects - there were - but there was also enough ideology/philosophy mixed in to make you feel like you are watching something with substance. I never thought I would actually say this, but Keanu was great - not just passable - but great in his role as the christ-like Neo, and Lawrence Fishburne was charismatic and powerful - especially in his unflinching descriptions of his faith (though he seemed a little too chubby to be a believable bad ass). Throw in some great bit characters like the incomparable Monica Bellucci and the lock maker, and you have a very good, very entertaining movie.

As usual the matrix series pushes the envelope when it comes to CGI. These to movies are fun and enjoyable to watch. I think the Whichowski Brothers where trying to draw in a new croud of matrix fans in this movie. I belive that they over did the love part of this movie. People go to see the matrix movies for the action, if they wanted to see a love story they could go rent Sweet Home Alabama, or something like that. I enjoyed watching this in theaters but it lacked a bit of what the first Matrix had. And for the middle part of the movie i was slightly board. I am still a big matrix fan and i am anticipating the sequal. Im sure that will be slightly more impressive.

Of course, I expected the first movie to be better. After all, it was a truly unique and groundbreaking movie, which was very refreashing at the time it came out. The sequal was enjoyable, if you are really a fan of the first, simply because it is more of the Matrix. Although the specail effects are awesome, to a point it feels like overuse. The first movie had a balance of everything; good story line, specail effects thrown in at the perfect time, and a tiny bit of a love story thrown in for good measure. The Matrix Reloaded overuses the love theme, and you wonder if some middle-aged Executive made it be a bigger theme in this movie since "love and sex sell!" If I want to see romance, I will go rent a Meg Ryan movie.

It was alright--it probably would have been an hour shorter had they not had so many scenes in slow-motion. They over-did the special effects, but that was to be expected. Story-wise, I appreciated the plot twist, and I thought seeing Zion was pretty neat, but the acting left much to be desired (well, again, that was to be expected). The fight sequences were very entertaining. The film had the feel of a graphic novel/comic book, but the jumping of the timelines (in/out of the Matrix and recent past/present; yeah, you can follow it, but it takes a second to realize that's what they're doing). Lots of action, some nudity/sexuality, obvious violence, overall everything you'd expect from The Matrix. (Amendment: I saw it again, was noticing the little nuances that I missed before. During & slightly after Neo's scene with the Oracle, look for the little signs on the pole behind Neo (when he was sitting on the bench with the Oracle) and on the wall on the sequence directly after that ... This movie was fricken awesome. The graphics were good and so was the plot. So many people thought that it was a bad plot, because they were too dumb to understand the plot. Maybe, they should go back to middle school and get some common knowledge.

The first matrix involved a much more intricate plot. The acting was a total joke, not considering that the 1st movie had good acting. The special effects were great, but on overkill. You remember in the first movie when it slowed down and showed neo avoiding the bullets, well they did about 25% of the fight scenes that way in matrix 2, which really slowed down the movie. If your really into the matrix go to the theatre otherwise wait for the dvd
