Matador Cigars

Friendly people, great place highly recommend. This is such a great place that I drive 45 minutes to get there. Boris is a real gentleman and the cigars are top notch. I can watch a game on the HD TV and enjoy a great smoke with no aggravation.

My first experience at matador cigars was the friendly staff greeting me as i walked through the door in august of 2008. The fees for their lockers was reasonable so I purchased one for a year. Their prices are comparable to other shops near by, but their large cigar selection is hard to be beat. They also have cigars that are hard to come by like god of fire and opus x. The shop is also located near roslyn high school as well as being 1 1/2 miles from my house, so despite the winter weather, I can always make it to the shop. Also, they open relatively early so when I get out of work, they are open at 10am everyday and 11am on sunday mornings. In the late evenings they are usually open till 1130pm and 1230 am friday and saturday nights...I highly recommend this shop to anyone looking for a great place to meet new people.

OK, I have to start off telling you that I am a Veteran cigar smoker and have visited Just about all of the cigar lounges on long island and I have to say that this is the best place to sit down and have a smoke, meet friendly people, and network. I have visited this lounge in the morning, Afternoon and at night and have always been met with a smile, an incredible selection of smokes, and some of the friendliest people to grab a smoke with and shoot a game of pool while watching some television, or once in a while a DVD. If your ever in the area, just off the 495, (Ever stuck in traffic) I suggest you stop in and take a look, Youll be amazed!

Large and roomy, with a cool, relaxed atmosphere, numerous flat screen TV's, pool table, and an outstanding selection of cigars....I must be dreaming. I accidentally stumbled into Matador Cigars and immediately fell in love. I had a personal locker rented there moments later. Matador sports a huge front and rear lounge that each have its own vibe seperated by an extremely impressive walk in humidor that will have a cigar for any taste at the BEST prices of any B+M I have ever been too. Boris, the owner is a cool guy, and has really created the perfect cigar lounge, with a diverse mix of clientele that completely negates any upptity overtones that can be common in some lounges. And being 2 minutes off the LIE in Roslyn seals the deal with convenience. For real, just stop in and see for yourself....

If your on long island or in NY you are making a mistake if you dont go to Matador for cigars or to hang out The place is huge can seat at least 20 plus a pool table Plenty of flat screens tv's with all choices for tv ( the market / football / baseball etc... etc..) Plenty of cigar events with great giveaways No BS just a great environment to enjoy a cigar - those that smoke cigars know what I am talking about...

Completely off the charts, greatest place to smoke and hang out. I am there at least three times a week. Very comfortable, great space, front and back areas to hang out in. Lots of big screen TV's all around, Awesome selection of cigars and accessories. 2 minuets form the LIE, plenty of parking, restaurant next door, it doesn't get any better.

An excellent destination with great atmosphere, hospitable service and a fantastic selection. The items that need to be addressed are: better space for the pool table, Also the pool table requires dots on the felt. All in all......the best thing to happen in Roslyn since Matthew Korn Architecture opened its doors 18 years ago!

Not a better place on Long Island,or NYC to enjoy a smoke.......Go there and enjoy the perfect souroundings,the humidor has it ALL !!!

I used to go to another place for many years. Since Matador opened their doors, I haven't gone back since. The owner is a real gentleman, and takes great care of his customers. The place is immaculate. The guy dropped a load of dough on this place and it really shows. Honestly it's one of the nicest cigar lounges I have ever been too, and I have been smoking cigars for 22 years. Also, the cigar selection is out of this world. If you can't find a cigar to smoke here, you need therapy.

Unbelievable Cigar Shop and Lounge. The atmosphere is great. Clean, classy, and so well done. Everyone is made to feel comfortable. Can't say enough about this guy's selection. He has everything for a full line of Tatuaje, Illusione, Fuente Anejos, and Opus. A great pool table, and the guys have a great time playing for cigars. It's my new hang out and I love it. Step up. Step up to Matador Cigars. Also very convenient. Only 1/4 mile off of the Long Island Expressway, near the Roslyn High School off Roslyn Rd.

The Matador Cigar Lounge in Roslyn Heights was a great discovery of mine. I've been to many lounges around the country, none compares to this place. The cigar selection is amazing. AND if you don't see the cigar you like, just ask...and the next day it'll magically appear!!! The staff is friendly and the crowd is down to earth. The crowd is local: Lawyers, Carpenters, Electricians and out of work Stockbrokers (just kidding.) Stop by and say hello, I'm always here (don't tell my wife.)
