I've been getting massages every two weeks now and been looking for the one that will best fit my needs. Went to this place today and as soon as Gravette layed her hands on me, I knew this will be my massage therapist from now on. I explained to her at the beginning what my concerns were and she really worked on those areas, plus she has an incredibly relaxing touch that made me fall asleep right away. I've tried 2 other people there but her energy is very calming and a match for me. I'll be back soon! Thank you!

I called in the middle of the week to get my husband a birthday massage. We came 10' late and I called ahead and explained that I was having problems with my babysitter. Of course it was my fault that the sitter was late. The receptionsist did not seem to understand. And the massage was terrible and felt like it was rushed. No focus was made for my feet and this is where I had requested the work be done. The receptionist was not very nice and told me I could speak to the owner, but I was so upset I just let it go. I do not think I will go back there again if I will be treated like that. And the rooms were freezing cold to top that all off!!,

My experience was pleasent and the staff were very nice. The place is simple, but the overall feel of the environment was calming. I had the sports massage which felt similar to a thai massage which was great for my over-worked muscles after a hard workout. I went straight home to an epsom salt bath. Great idea for a gift during the holidays.

Simply incredible!!! I adore this place. I've had so many massages there, the staff can recognize my voice on the phone. All of the therapists are so talented and kind, its hard to recommend just one . The atmosphere is sooo cozy and clean, i could live there. I dont know what else to say , words can't do it justice, its something you just have to try for yourself! All i can say is describe what you're looking for over the phone, and trust the staff, they know how to place you with a therapist of your dreams. And dont everyone go calling at once, because if i call and there is no more room for me, im going to be sad. Everyone owes this treat to themselves, because we all deserve a little R & R.

This place is amazing!! Great price, super clean, friendly staff and the massage was the best. You don't get the typical "spa" experience here but you get a great service for a great price. I would go back a million times...

I liked the service I had but, the girl at the front was not very nice. They have a really good smell in the rooms it helps to relax you. The location is close to my house.

I love this place, great atmosphere, friendly service, and the price is ridiculously good. Especially since since it's not just one of those feel good massages, it was a real serious deep tissue massage. I feel like I have a different back! I would hate to have to share him, but ask for Chad, his hands are soooooooooooo strong!

The first time I went here the massage was okay but they shorted me fifteen minutes. I complained about it and the owner called me, was very nice, insisted on giving me a free massage. I said that was okay, and that I would try them again. So I did. The second time was mediocre but I had the same masseuse as the first time and figured I'd try someone else. This is third and last time. Not only was I shorted time again, but the massage was so awful that I actually had bruises on my back. I told her to lighten up, but it was like I she was working on a rag doll. She also spent too much time on the one side then rushed to finish me, and didn't massage my front legs at all. When she said the massage was over I was surprised because she didn't finish me, but then again, I was relieved.

I got a one hour massage, but asked the therapist to focus on specific areas rather than try to get it all in. I really appreciated how she listened to me and made the hour exactly what I hoped for, perfect for my specific needs.

I just had a massage there, about 2 weeks ago. It was spectacular !!! The place is so cute and clean, and the massage was the best i've had in years. The staff is so friendly, they even offer you change for the meters if you need to park, and all the licorice you can eat. The price is out of this world, and I'm so addicted. Everyone should try them, you will be blown away.

I searched the internet looking for a nice massage at a nice price. But the massage place exceeded my expectations. The massage rooms are very large and nice with music, candles, light dimmers, and very comfy tables. My massage therapist was very professional and nice. He was execellent at draping the sheets to make sure that I was never over exposed. And the oils that he used left my skin baby soft and smelled wonderful. I can't wait to go back!

This is the best place! I was never able to afford massaged before I found The Massage Place. Now I can get an entire hour for half the price of every other place. The best thing is they are professional, the place is clean, and it's right off the boulevard.

In addition to Swedish and deep tissue massage, these therapists also perform sports massage, stone massage and reflexology--and at the most appealing price.

The Massage place is fabulous! The massages are to die for. Everyone is so skilled and knowledgeable. What I really love is how the therapists actually recommend to their customers to try other therapists. They dont take it as an insult or personally at all. They want you to enjoy everyone's technique and styles, which is so awesome. The massage therapists are super friendly as if the staff. I am such a huge fan, and love how relaxed I feel every time I go there.

From the service on the phone to the serene atmosphere inside, The Massage Place was a great find for me. Now, they say no "spa atmosphere" but it was just as relaxing, peaceful and tranquil as Glen Ivy or Burke Williams without the "high-falootin & saditty" prices or snobby staff even though they're nestled on the very chic & curb appeal area off Ventura. Their staff is completely professional, warm and inviting. I recently had a baby and gained 100+ lbs after a very difficult pregnancy. I was apprehensive about my body and the staff and therapist made me feel as if I were a size 2 (and that ain't no easy feat!) The only regret - I wish I would've known about them for a pregancy massage!

Okay ~ I used to work there... I work at the Spa in Equinox now... but I can honestly say bobbie11 is smoking cr@ck :D They do take a credit card number, but only for first time bookings and just to hold your spot. If you need to cancel... there is a 24 hour policy. (All massage companies have this including Equinox where I now work) Ironicly though, they are actually really lenient with that policy letting people off if they are sick or something comes up as long as they dont call right before their massage. I personally wish they werent lenient. All the therapists there are payed by the massage and if you dont show up, then they arent payed. As for the experience range of therapists, its everything from recently out of school to 10 years in practice or more. Each therapist is evaluated as an individual and at least for myself, I had to actually give a massage to 2 seperate people (one of which was the owner) for evaluation. All and all the place was a great place to work with ... Read more

The Massage Place has the right idea. I am not a big massage lover, however, I will say for the price and service it is a deal. The staff is very friendly and accommadating, the all around service and experience is impecible, and I have tons of money left over for shoes.....naturally, because being that I am a female in LA, I don't need money for food, just kidding. I will go back again and again, totally worth it!

Ok People, the Massage Place is cheap, but not really. The massage is by students just out of school, the few times i went there they looked angry. I guess because they don't make much money It's an OK massage. But for the price what can you expect. The issue I have with them is they take your credit card number and charge you, they take no excuses, it doesn't matter if you are in the hospital, have a 101 fever, they don't care. And that attitude permeates the palce. remember these people are in your energy field, so don't take massage so lightly just because it is cheap!

I went in for a massage last week with Bunchai. He was amazing! I was super tense and sore at the beginning of the massage, but Bunchai worked out all the knots in my muscles. By the end of the hour, I was refreshed and super relaxed. My friend had a massage with another therapist (not sure of her name), and he was also very happy with his experience. Like any of the Massage Places, the store isn't super fancy, but it is cute and clean and the staff are friendly. I would go back anytime and can't see paying spa prices for a massage that's just as good at half the cost.

I had never gotten a massage but got one as a present from someone who thought it might help me. I was very happy to show up and feel at ease at a casual, professional place that didn't feel like a stuffy spa. My therapist quickly made me feel comfortable. As I left, I wondered why I hadn't gone before and why other places you can get a massage feel so intimidating. I highly recommend it to anyone who has never had a massage but thinks they might enjoy it, or to anyone who likes getting massages but not putting up with any hassle. I went on a Sunday afternoon and was able to get the time I wanted. I will definitely be going there again soon.

The massages here are so delicious!!! I've been going here for over a year and I have always had great massages here. If anyone is looking for a nice , swedish but with medium pressure, i would recommend cathy, if you want it a bit deeper and even more therapeutic , then shoshana or bunchai are they way to go. Just tell them what you are hoping to get out of the massage, they will match you with the right person. Its so relaxing, and everyone is so kind, id recommend it to anyone and everyone, give it a chance, you have nothing to lose except knots, tension and stress.

I've been going to the Massage Place for a few years now. The Massage Place in both Venice and Santa Monica are good but the Manhattan Beach place ROCKS. Every masseuse is great there. Why do I know this? I've made a point to try every masseuse there once. They are so no frills - they get right into those knots in your back and de-stress you. Note: For those frou-frou spa resort divas: The Massage Place actually focuses on your massage. Massages are what they do. They do not ask you to check your LV bags in, nor do they give you cucumber lemon Fiji water with tropical umbrellas. If you want a REAL massage, go ahead! Give the Massage Place a call. It's the best $44 you ever spent!

I consider myself a massage snob, and I am thrilled to have found The Massage Place. The staff is friendly, and the environment is relaxing. I have tried several therapists and have loved each one. I have recommended it to several friends, and they have all raved about their experiences.

I have had massages at top spas in Palm Springs, Hawaii, New York, Los Angeles and none compared to the massages I have received here. I used to pay 3-5x more for the fancy ambience, etc. but the therapists here were superior to any other therapist I have had in the past. The quality of the service being delivered is more important then the pomp and circumstance that is just superficial justification for ridiculous prices at other places. This place was amazing and the quality of massage was top notch. I have finally found a place that I can go to regularly, feel relaxed and energized and know I got an amazing massage at an unbelievable price.

As someone who has had several mediocre massages over the years, I didn't have high expectations when a friend and I visited the Massage Place the other day. However, I was impressed by how clean and peaceful the place was right away. My massage was with a guy named Bunchai (I had to ask them how to spell his name at the end of the massage because I am DEFINITELY coming back) who gave me those most incredible massage I have ever had. I walked out of that place feeling better than I have in weeks. My friend also raved about her experience with a different massage therapist. Everyone there seemed really nice and the whole experience was absolutely wonderful. I highly recommend this place!

I've tried several different therapists here and all of them were incredible. I'm not sure how they keep the prices so low but maybe other places simply charge too much. It's lovely, peaceful, and extremely clean and I recommend this place to anyone interested in getting a massage.
