Thu Jun 28 2012http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/upshot/norwegian-mass-murderer-gets-own-psych-ward-inside-170259821.html The unrepentant Norwegian mass murderer Anders Behring Breivik will have his own private psychiatric ward to be built inside the prison where he now resides. The new wing inside the prison is one more step prison officials are taking to make sure the mass killer stays put at Ila Prison in Oslo. The 33-year-old is responsible for two attacks that led to the deaths of 77 people last summer. He has admitted to the crimes, and now awaits sentencing. (Catch details of the trial in the video above.) An insanity finding, notes Slate, would mean Breivik would be given a maximum sentence of 21 years, and he could be held longer if it's determined he's a danger to the public. His mental state is currently under evaluation. Yeah, it is a tragic event. The end of the article is even more revolting, "So they plan to hire "friends" who would be charged with playing chess and indoor hocke... Read more

Wed Apr 25 2012I believe it to be a very significant event, a reflection of what the situation in Europe is slowly but surely escalating to.

Mon Aug 01 2011Truly shocking in scope. This Brevik guy managed to pull off simultaneous bombings of Norway's political institutions, including the Prime Minister's residence. An hour and a half later, he gunned down 69 people at the Utoya Summer Camp outside of Oslo, which was hosting a gathering of the country's Labor Party. It was quite a feat for Brevik to pull this off all by himself. Wonder if the police are investigating any other suspects and or collaborators in this act. Usually something of this nature requires logistics and extra help from outside parties. Brevik himself is a highly reactionary individual who represents some of the worst aspects of European political culture--highly autocratic, racist, nihilistic. The attack was clearly geared towards political institutions, especially given that the target of the attacks included government offices and a summer youth camp for the country's ruling Labor Party. The government of the country is currently made up of a coalition co... Read more

Sat Jul 30 2011That one reviewer would use this horrible incident to attack Christianity and another would use it to attack belief in God wholesale is more evidence of the stupidity that continues to pervade this site.

Fri Jul 29 2011A story that really goes beyond the ability to describe with language. Certainly makes the radar and will be remembered. . .but I'm not convinced it's a five. Present political situations in the U.S. are filling the airwaves with noise and static that (unfortunately) take away from an issue our media shies away from - Extremism is a serious threat to Western Civ. . .no matter what kind of false-invisible-man-in-the-sky the extremist believes in. . .

Fri Jul 29 2011Aw man..I was really lookin' forward to the candlelight vigil by the anti-capital punishment nuts. Hitler(Aryan Dan's homie)became a millionaire from Mein Kamf, which he wrote while doin' just a few years makin' license plates. With the time in the nuthouse this meshugena's gonna get,I imagine he'll come out richer than Aryan Dan's idol.

Fri Jul 29 2011Too horrible to even make a movie about. Please don't. And he'll be out in 21 years? What happened to the fuckin' Vikings? On a related note, I have to thank Dan for posting the funniest review of the day, under this topic. Play sound effects: This is an historic review. On this day...July 29, 2011...in one last, final attempt to find one convert...just one, for God's sake, Dan has jettisoned what ever fumes were left in his reserve tank of credibility. Thanks again, Dan...just plain hilarious. I know. I know. We mock what we don't understand. (Yes we do.)

Thu Jul 28 2011My heart goes out to the people of Norway.this is another example of "never forget history" there are always going to be Hilter like maniacs out there who really believe they are doing "good" for society when they do mass killings for certain beliefs. innocent children and adults are now dead and heart broken famlies are picking up the pieces. this man can get out of jail in 21 years? mind boggling.
