Mason Properties has been listing my property for four years now...... I feel so comfortable knowing they are watching over my investment They not only care for the property but are very diligent in filtering the applications so as not to rent to some one who might be disrespectful to the property. Well they don't offer to give 0 stars, so I had to give them a "one star". It looks like I fell victim to the same problem as other folks. They simply do not return calls....ever. The property I rented was a 3 bedroom place. But I had several hundred roomates...rodents! And lots of them. After numerous complaints they sent a pest removal company, who put 4 rodent traps down and left, never to return. The property had a pool and underground irriagtion. Sounds great right? Well a pipe burst (not from freezing) in the irriagtion system and dumped 70,000 gallons into the watershed system. My utility bill was $1100 that month. I received NO HELP with the bill, even though the pipes are old (30+ years) and it wasn't my fault. I called and emailed them relentlessly for 4 months with no call back, accept an email saying I was responsible for the bill. This company had extremely poor customer service; They became our property managers the last month of our lease. It took almost two months to get our deposit back after having to deal with the unreturned phone calls, if they even answered the phone at all during regular business hours. To top it off, out of our deposit they took bogus charges for cleaning which my roommate and I had thoroughly taken care of upon move out and we were even complimented on by both the maintenance man and the manager of mason properties. They also charged us for new hardware to be installed in the bathroom that never existed the entire year we lived there. This company is over all a shady business that i highly recommend NOT giving any of your hard earned money too. They will do their darndest to screw you out of it, with poor customer service to boot.

I had a horrible time finding a new place to rent in Austin when I decided to move back into the area. The apartment complexes were either too big and overbearing, the office personnel were snooty or rude, and many of the places I looked at just weren't worth the price they were asking. I hate large commercialized resort type environments (except for vacation occasionally) and I knew from experience what it felt like to live in Austin years ago - live oak trees, neighborly folks all around, easy access to most anywhere, etc. When I found Mason Properties (through an agent) and I looked at one of their properties, I felt I had come home. Not only was the property immaculate, although an older property, the grounds were beautiful and the complex was quiet. I am a professional who travels extensively. Recently, I needed a place in Austin, Tx. for 6 months. I called a real estate agent who suggested I contact Mason properties. My experience with this property management company was exemplary and professional. This company found me the right place at the right price .

My experience with Mason Properties has been a very pleasant one. The few problems with our property have been resolved in a very timely and efficient manner and always with a smile. I have recommended and will still recommend Mason Properties to everyone I can. They are friendly, caring and willing to go the extra mile for their clients.

It is impossibel to please everyone regards of the genuine attempt to solve problems in a timely manner. All of the negative comments posted are from tenants who felt they were treated unfairly. There are always two sides to a story. I invite you to call Mason Properties and get to know us. if you are a tenant looking to lease or a current tenant who needs help solving a problem, I assure you, you will find us resposive and sensitive to your needs.

I have traveled the states as a requirement of my profession and have rented on many occasions. I have to say the most rewarding and satisfactory renting experience I have had has been with Mason Properties. I have rented with them for 3 years now and have always been treated with respect. On the few occasions that I have had to contact them regarding maintenance they have always responded in a timely manner. Their vendors have been polite and responsive. I am leaving the Austin area soon and they have been exceptionally helpful in assisting me with finding a new occupant to take over the property as I will not be able to fulfill my commitment to the lease terms. I have and will continue to refer Mason property to family and friends both as a landlord and as a management service to owners.

She was defensive and unresponsive from the very beginning. We had small (then large) issues with the house (which she had never even SEEN before we moved in) from the beginning. Despite the fact that after a month we learned we had a rodent living in the house and walking around on our kitchen counters, she did nothing. Finally, after weeks and the rodent EATING A HOLE IN OUR DISHWASHER to get water, pest control was called. But it took additional weeks to get the attic appropriately cleaned and a new dishwasher installed. We found her totally unresponsive to other health and hygiene issues in the home. And as someone else said, she works out of her home, which is unethical, if not illegal. After one year, our landlord gave her the boot.

Never, ever return calls and when they do are very rude. They do not repect your property and come in and out of your place like nothing-whenever. RUNNNNNNNN FOR YOUR LIFE!!! The worst property management in Austin. She works out of her home in a residential area-BIG BIG VIOLATION OF AUSTIN CITY CODE-What does that tell you-Unethical and sneaky, very sneaky

Very unprofessional. Be very careful doing business with this "company". They will stick it to you if you give them just the slightest opportunity to. Save yourself some trouble and find a place with proper management.

Please be careful when considering doing business with Mason Properties. My experience with them has been very very disappointing.
