I just cannot sing praise high enough for Mary House. She is the consummate professional, a true advocate, dedicated and knowledgeable in every aspect of searching for and purchasing a home. Mary spent more than a year and a half working tirelessly to find me the house I wanted. I am not easy to deal with, and she never once flinched. I really put her through the wringer and she was never anything but a complete joy to work with. I have never experienced this level of service and am so grateful for her counsel, advice, and expertise. Even if there were one hundred stars to be used in rating, it would not be enough to reflect that which Mary is uniquely deserving of. I have never written a review on anything, but this experience was so amazingly positive that I felt compelled to share it.

I am so puzzled by the less than stellar reviews. When I read reviews about restaurants, I always feel that certainly food/service is subjective and any place can have a bad night, but I can't imagine anyone having anything short of a lovely, lovely experience with the Marye Company in general and Andy Thomas specifically. Over the last few years, I've been involved with four separate real estate transactions with Andy as agent. Two were my own and two were my elderly parents (one with Alzheimer's) and all four were tricky, odd, and wrought with potential problems. I have to say that Andy was touted as a full-service realtor and he went WAY above and beyond the norm making each of these transactions as pain-free as possible but also as lucrative and fair as possible. I contacted the Marye Company based on the signs that I saw around town. I called them up, got Drew Marye on the phone, and proceeded to hire the best agent and company I've ever had work for me in terms of a realtor. I own a few different houses around Austin and have experience with realtors. Never have I received such amazing service. My agent, Drew (who happens to own the company) went above and beyond what I would have expected. Not only have I used him as a listing agent, but I've also used the company to help me buy. If you're using another realtor, I think you should reconsider. If you want first class service, regular contact and updates, creative ideas, thinking outside of the box... then you need not search any further. Hire these guys for your real estate, you won't be disappointed.

My agent, Mary House, helped my wife and I find the perfect home in Austin, TX. She was upfront and honest with us about each area we looked at and made great strides to help us with our home search. When a job opportunity came my way in Houston, we had to sell our home not long after we bought it. Mary jumped into action again and we sold our house after being on the market for 5 DAYS!!!! Can't say enough great things about Mary and the Marye Co. They know the ins and outs of this tough housing market and collaborate with you on how best to meet your needs.

I had a similar experience with Marye Co. My agent, Andy, didn't help me find a neighborhood or house - especially unhelpful for a newcomer to Austin. In fact, he was out of contact for days while I looked up listings online. I've bought properties in other cities and the agents remain in contact because they're building their "leads" database, but after I bought my house in Austin, I never heard from Andy or Marye again.

I chose Marye based on a referral when I moved to Austin. The agent did not help me find a neighborhood that suited my needs. He offered no recommendations or advice - which was critical to me as a newcomer. I ended up doing all the research on my own over the Web. By the time I found a house, the agent just showed up to close the deal and collect his commission check. Never heard from him again.
