Martin Lawrence

In my day, there was a "Martin" on every block. I SUSPECT that those who are upset with his portrayal are simply not familiar with a CERTAIN aspect, and style, amongst many black folks. He's WAY more than just loud. And he has the absolute perfect cast to help him highlight his particular chacter. Eddie Murphy is good ON STAGE. But, otherwise, Eddie Murphy is ABYSMAL. Martin is a natural, for the role he plays. You have to be VERY familiar with the smoothness, and hipness of black life, in order to UNDERSTAND what Martin is all about. Those who are not? I SUSPECT that those are the one who...ahem...live in ANOTHER neighborhood.

Martin is something else! I have loved hos work since DEF Comdey Jam and the martin show still cracks me up! From Dragon Fly Jones to JEROME Martin did his thing and is still doing it. I watched Wild HOggs at the movies and it was on point. Also you can tell that the actors had a good time as well. I will always be a big Martin Lawrence fan and if he ever comes to Austin,I hope I get to see him!!!

Wow this guy is ANNOYING!!!!

Not a comedic genius, but I thought his old TV show was very funny. I've heard his movies were and are pretty bad, but how much of that's his responsibility, I can't say. Hopefully, he's gotten himself straightened out and is no longer in the process of self-destructing.

Funny but nowhere near as funny as he thinks he is.

Out of all the comedians out there that I hate, this guy is at the top of the list. It's too bad I can't give him anything lower than a 1. I find everything he does offensive, and not in a raunchy kind of way, I'm just offended that someone like this, who never tells any actual jokes and who is so arrogant about things he has no business being cocky about, even has a career. All he does is yell in some stupid contrived way. That's IT. He does absolutely nothing else but yell, and people are supposed to find this funny? I hope that humanity smartens up and shoves detritus like this off the nearest cliff, because it would improve our culture in so many ways.

Doesn't do much but throw temper tantrums and then dance around like an idiot. At times he can be funny, but gets derailed, his show was okay and his movies are funny, especially nothing to lose.

He's so funny. I love the way he takes life and puts it into different scenarios. I like that he goes into different characters and he'll have you on your back. I wish that someone will give him a comedy show again. He is truly missed.

I love Black comedians because their humor is more lewd, which appeals to me even more. I loved nothing to lose, and his TV show Martin was a classic. However, movies like, Talking About Sex and Blue Streak brought him down. He needs more stuff like Martin.

He is for real, he too is talky and talks a lot of crap. He is very good in dealing with women, and he usually deals with everyday problems of life.

He was at his best as host of Def Comedy Jam many years ago.

Martin is the man. He mixes every type of humor. Physical, Impersonations, Name calling jokes and he just has a really funny demeanor.
