ORIGINAL REVIEW: 6/22/09 Missing for four days now. My guess is that he took Obama's stimulus money and is now spending it on hookers and coke. UPDATE: Ah, I thought of Sanford this morning after hearing about HP's CEO resigning due to fake expense reports. Meanwhile, Sanford is still collecting a paycheck after related transgressions, misusing money entrusted to him in order to pursue an affair (at least the HP guy wasn't married). Credit Time for calling him out in 2005, naming him one of the five worst governors in the country: As a U.S. Representative in the 1990s, Mark Sanford often slept on an office futon instead of renting a Washington apartment. That kind of conspicuous frugality helped him get elected Governor of South Carolina in 2002. But a growing chorus of critics, including leaders of his own G.O.P., fear that his thrift has brought the state's economy to a standstill. I'm only basing this rating based on the stimulus. I thought the stimulus was 90% stupid bs that was wasteful but I think Mark Sanford was a complete moron for not wanting to accept the stimulus funds. If the stimulus was exactly the same, and had a Republican's name on it, Sanford would be all over it. The guy is a partisan hack who seems to put his political beliefs ahead of anything else.

He started off well. He proposed major changes in state government but didn't get them through. His relationship with the legislature is very strained. Regardless, his showmanship and unorthodox actions have given him high popularity.

Mark sanford is a horrible Gov. because he plans to charge for medicaid and and attempts to privitize the states public service authority, santee cooper, which could result in a 40% power bill increase for many south carolinians. And for the non wealthy people he is attempting to give the wealthiest people tax cut which could result in costing the state billions of dollars and which would have caused credit rates to fall even more, and while trying to put the state iv a debt hole he still hasn't even addressed the high property taxes. Now that does not sound like a good gov. to me now does it?!

Great guy, even though he's a Republican. He's making good changes in SC.

If there is an honest man in politics, this is the guy. He had a barbaque instead of an inaugeral ball to save the tax payers money.

I guess he is OK. We don't hear much about him, thank God. He seems to stay out of trouble.
