My husband and I visit this restaurant at least once a week and once a month we bring our children and their husbands and we all really love it. The food is really good and the service is very prompt. My husband and I rate Mexican Restaurants and we have found this food to be the very best in the area; it even compares to our favorite restaurant in California, El Burro! The only disappointment would be one time I ordered two sides and one of the sides was a Chicken Tostada, there was absolutely no lettuce on the tostada, doesn't tostada mean lettuce?? Anyway, I asked for more lettuce and they wanted to charge me a dollar, I just couldn't believe it and expressed my thoughts to the server, the server merely starred at me and asked again if I wanted it. How much does lettuce cost, really, and should they have included a little more than 10 slivers on the tostada???? I keep going back because the food is good but I can't stop thinking about that lettuce; to think that all the se... Read more

My family and I have frequented this restaurant a few times but on one particular night, we were eating and we overheard the owner downgrading a server. He was using a loud and angry voice. This made us very uncomfortable and ashamed to support such an establishment. I was a server at one time and I understand what they have to contend with, i.e., time constraints, etc. The server was humiliated and was obviously upset. We feel if there is a problem, it should be discussed privately NOT in front of paying customers who are trying to enjoy a well-deserved meal. We will not go back.

We've eaten here many times, and it was always a local favorite. Tonight, however, was different. The food was bland, they charge for every extra side of sauce or dressing that you ask for to try to compensate for the bland food, and I think that they are skimping on ingredients like they never did before. I was very disappointed. Even my $7.50 margarita (a small one!) was below par. A very dissapointing evening and we won't be back. Sad, because it is so close & we've gone there for so long.

I've lived here since 1990. This has to be the best Mexican/Cuban eatery in the area. I visited this restaurant when they were on Granada in Ormond it was good, but they soon outgrew the old KFC building. The current building was a Burger King. They adapted well and the atmosphere is cozy. While the staff may not speak perfect english, they are from many South American & Carribean countries. Which adds to the charm. Service is prompt during the week & very busy during the weekends. Their prices are very affordable. The full service bar is excellent (especially the "Mojito's"). We visit at least twice per month.

Authentic Mexican food in Daytona Beach? Yes, there is! This is possibly the best! They also have several authentic Cuban dishes as well. Outdoor seating is available.

This is BY FAR the best mexican restaurant in the Daytona area. The food is not only delicious (best fajitas I've ever had) but it is an excellent value. I'm in the restaurant industry myself, and can say that they have some of the best margaritas anywhere and they are an exceptional value. Most delicious chips and really fresh salsa. Perhaps the service could leave a little something to be desired, and many of the staff don't speak proper english, but it all adds to the charm. Meet the owner, he's fantastic and when he's in a good mood he gives out free tequila shots. And definitely DO go on a night when the mariachi band is there to serenade you!
