Postal workers have pretty good benefits and are paid fairly well. Also if my mailman came up to me tomorrow and slapped me in the face with a magazine I still could not tell you who he was.

No possible way. These are government employees who are making more than enough to begin with for the skill level involved. They also get every little pea picking holiday off during the year which averages out to about one or more days per month PLUS tons of vacation, sick and excellent benefits. NOPE - the way I see it, I've already paid for this service with my tax dollars and I don't owe them another dime.

Once a year at Christmas if the person does a good job on a regular basis but otherwise, no. And I know right from the horse's mouth that they want to be called letter carriers.. not mailmen.

Not a cash tip. we order a lot of magazines, and books, cds, dvds etc. Poor guy has to deliver them. so at the last couple of Christmas's we give him a little present. not much, just a thank you.
