Sun Oct 25 2009Madison Dental offers great service. The staff is extremely helpful, efficient, and friendly. Mary, Heidi, and Stephanie are a great asset to the office. They are excellent in their job and make Madison special. But my hygienist, Susan, is truly a wonder. She is funny, efficient, personable, and down to earth. She brings a lot of heart to the office.

Thu Oct 08 2009I have been treated by Dr. Press for over 26 yrs. He is the kindest, most thoughtful dentist. I am 58yrs old and have experienced a number of dentist who did not compare. He has a wealth of information and I always go home learning something new. I totally trust my mouth to this most experienced, excellent dentist. Paula is a wonderful hygienist. She is extremely thorough and takes her time to make sure your teeth and gums are healthy. She is very personable and makes you as comfortable as possible. She has a great sense of humor and actually makes this uncomfortable procedure, very tolerable. Heidi completes the package. She is so lovely, friendly, competent, and helpful. She goes out of her way to get you appointments and make you feel you're important. I look forward to seeing her on my visits. I practically feel I'm visiting a relative. I highly recommend these three talented professionals or I wouldn't be schlepping from Westchester.

Thu Sep 24 2009I have been going to madison dental for 3 years now and I am very happy with the treatment I have received. The receptionists are always curteous and professional and help me coordinate appointments around my very busy schedule. I am extremely dental phobic and Dr. Mender always puts me at ease in the chair. I highly recommend the practice to anyone looking for a new dentist.

Fri Nov 07 2008Best value in NYC. General practice and specialist care all in the same office and they accept many insurances. A modern clean office with a friendly staff, this is a rarity these days. I was at my MD's office the other day and was shocked at the total lack of care by the staff. The staff here cares, everybody makes mistakes, they are few at Madison Dental. Considering the number of people seen its amazing!

Sun Oct 05 2008I had been a patient of Dr. Levin for many years and have referred him to other also. I had no problems until recently when I got a new Dental insurance provider and Madison Dental processed a claim for my August 2008 visit. My insurance was active as of July 2008. Madison Dental sent in claims from 2007 to AFLAC and I was refused benefits. We call the dental office and they assured me that they sent the proper bills. Wrong! Aflac said the dates were pre - coverage. It is now October 6th and we still are having problems as now Aflac said I have made more claims than necessary on my new coverage when I only visited the Dentist on August 8th for the first time with this insurance ID. Some how the claim submitting department at Madison Dental has regressed into chaos! I am writing a letter to Dr. Levin to tell him that his office staff is doing him a disservice with billing and erroneous claims to my insurance.

Mon Sep 22 2008After reading the reviews from the previous 3 entries I was hesitant to make an appt. Based on the fact that many of my friends and coworkers have been patients for several years and have nothing but glowing reviews I decided to go for my initial exam and cleaning. Without a doubt, this was the best dental experience I have ever had. The office was modern, clean, and very professional in its appearance. I was seen on time and the doctor who saw me was extremely thorough and answered all my questions. He even took the time to explain his findings from my xrays. I plan on returning for my next appt for some fillings and will be recommending this office to anyone who needs a new dentist.

Sat Aug 09 2008My first visit to Madison dental was for a regular cleaning. I thought the office looked a little dirty and run down, but the dentist was nice enough so I returned for two fillings. After the first filling my dentist said to me, 'As you'll notice, your dentist is a perfectionist." My next cavity filling was a week later. The dentist was running late and I waited an hour to see him. He had some excuse while he rushed through the filling. For the next few weeks my tooth was very painful. Since he said to call if I had any problems, I called. After some arguing, I managed to get an appointment. They ended up charging me! I thought that he was a 'perfectionist.' They charged my insurance company, that should have been enough for them. I explained this to them, but they would not absorb the cost. Because of their greedy ways I am taking my teeth and all my friends' teeth elsewhere.

Sun Aug 26 2007Would partly agree with the 1st review (they do have their assistants do a lot of cleaning and rather short dentist time), but overall the dentist visit was acceptable. However, the front desk staff was EXTREMELY rude and not helpful at all regarding processing the payment. I had offered help initially regarding the insurance claim process but was told that they would follow up. A month later I receive a RUDE phone call telling me that I was not covered. I follow up with my insruance to find out that I am, and forward them again my same insurance information. Another month later after the insurance paid I follow up to see if they received the payment and all is in order. Instead of a thank you I get another very RUDE response.. I won't be going back because I don't need to be treated like that!

Mon Apr 09 2007A really, really bad dentist. He won't listen to you - the kind of guy who'll come in, pop your mouth open and start drilling before you can say "Um, other side." I'm one of three folks who started with him because of office proximity who then ran screaming to other, less wretched practitioners. Zero attention to detail. Rushed. Divey office. The sad thing is, he's a nice enough guy, if not terribly awkward - it isn't nice to slam him, but it's just not right to not warn folks about him.

Fri Nov 10 2006Guy before me clearly a disgruntled nit wit. This place is the best. The entire staff is super friendly the dentistry is excellent and it is really convenient. Really helped me through a difficult time! Highly recommend.
