I think that the products are really good but a little too pricy. The make-up brushes are way more expensive than the actual make-up.

ok welll i LOVE mac! it realllly does cover up blemishes and pimples cuz thats obviously why i buy mac unlike fukin neutrogena. i see girls that try to cover up their unperfect face but you know it dosnt really work it looks disgusting. i walk up to them and ask them what makeup do they use on their face and their respond is neatrogena. alot of them say the same thing and all their faces look really bad. i say mac is worth it and is professional and ACTUALLY cover blemishes and pimples(:

One Stars, but only because the review doesn't allow 0 stars. I tried to get a gift certificate as a gift for Valentine's Day. It's January 28 so plenty of time. On the phone, the sales person treated me like a criminal trying to scam them out of money or something. Then, a few days after placing the order the company canceled the order. Now, it's 2/7. Plenty of time, right? Wrong. Place the order; company claims to have shipped, yet, no gift card. Today's Valentine's Day and I have NOTHING! Customer service response: "we have to activate and cancel the card and credit your purchase" Me: Thanks, so I got nothing. Customer service response: "you're welcome". MAC Cosmetics. You suck.

Honestly, a lot of people complain about the price of MAC makeup, but I think it's worth it. I will say though that I'm mostly just talking about eyeshadows, loose powders, and some of the concealers/bronzers. I think they have GREAT coverage. The colors pop a lot more than Mary Kay, L'Oreal, and many of the other brands you can find at your average drugstore. I prefer them because I know how well they're going to show up, especially when mixed with other MAC shades.

I've used several MAC products & haven't founf them to be any better than drug store brands. I have one red lipstick that stains my lips and therefore lasts all day. I went back to the counter and explained I wanted the same thing in a deep pink. The 'artist' told me any of their matte finish lipsticks will stain - but they had no bright pink, only baby pinks. She told me their Pro Longwear Lipcreme (which had a semi-bright pink) was specially formulated to last all day so I bought it. It doesn't last at all. The reason I didn't return the product to Macy's is because they are approx. 30 miles from my house. I sent an email to MAC and received an autoresponse saying I would be contacted. One month later I forwarded their email back to them and said I'm still waiting. More time passes and I receive an email telling me how great the Pro Longwear is but they will send me (in 2 weeks) an envelope to return the lipstick. No mention of what, if anything, they will do for me. It's b... Read more

I started buying MAC products about 3 months ago. I had a little bit of money to play around with and I decided to upgrade from l'oreal and drugstore brands. I LOVE MAC PRODUCTS I recommend them to EVERYBODY. Before I get into the products I do want to say that MAC is a luxury brand, I don't "need" all their brushes and accessories but it honestly makes me feel pretty and it makes me feel like I am doing something good for myself and pampering myself EVERYDAY. I recommend their brushes, they are made from real goat hair. The goats are in a stress free enviroment and are in no way harmed during the process. The foundation is great for me, their are some ingredients in it that severely disagree with some peoples skin and cause major breakouts, for me it makes my skin look flawless! Couple that with their duo fibre stippling brush and you have a legit airbrush effect going on!! MAC has a huge variety of eye shadows to choose from that suit any colour skin (I am a fricken snow flake and it... Read more

I bought 145.00$ worth of m.a.c products last week the first two days it was great and the "artist" actually did a real good job on my make- up and lying to me. When I said oily skin she said no problem, when I said acne prone she said no problem, and when I said I like to look like I have no make-up on she said ok! At the time she did my make-up my face was completely clear, now one week later my acne is re- appearing my skin is ten times as worse, and I look like sh@t!!!!! Thanks lady your mac oil free hypo-allergenic studio fix powder foundation your concealer and bronzer and let's not forget the brushes have really done their job. If their job is to piss me off and bring back acne that had all but vanished. Now let's see how well mac is at customer satisfaction when I return to the counter tommorrow looking like a zitty teenager after only five days of usage. I know it's not because I don't wash my face every nite with a just as exspensive asac face cream... Read more

I have used MAC for a few years now. I use the powder foundation, powder blush, powder eye shadow and lipglass I just bought my first lipstick a couple of weeks ago because it was a freebie with my returned containers. All the products I have used so far are worth the extra money and they last a long time. I buy my powder foundation in a fall winter color and a spring summer shade and they last 2 years. My eyeshadows I have a few and they last forever I have only replaced two colors in 4 years and they are the ones I use the most. The lip galss I just bought a new one because I was worried the old one was icky for lack of a better word. O I also use the paint pot eye primer stuff and I dont use it every day just because it is one extra step for me that I honestly just dont want to mess with but I do like that it keeps my shadow in place all day. But I just bought the NYX big shadow color pencils yesterday in a bronze color and it matches exaclty to my coppering Mac shadow and it only co... Read more

Im british and was introduced to MAC make up by a friend, I love the MAC studio fix fluid and used to work in a bar for 8 hours a night and this foundation didnt budge. Ive just read one review complaning about spots from there products then in the same sentence mentioning the product transferring on to pillows any make up will give you spots if you sleep in it that is basic. Like most brands some products are great overs less so but for the price you get a lot of product and a lastability and less is defintly more so it last i would say treble your standard cosmetics line. Ive always found the staff there helpfull and honest when I first went to the store they spent over 20 minutes matching my foundation and you can tell they have a genuine passion for the products they sell and there own make up is always inspiring. My tip would be keep trying there products always remembering to put on a base before foundation i find also helps and talk to the make up artist there and they will he... Read more

Okay so this is the thing. MAC is a great company to shop with and to work for...I should know. However, most customers come in and really don't know what they want. This is fine because as artists it is our jobs to ask questions and figure it out. BUT, we also have to deal with people who want to change their minds and often think that they know more than the actual artist. When a MAC artist tells you that you need the brush, the lip liner, or the primer it's not to throw another item at you for a sale. You actually need that item to get the job done correctly and for the makeup to look it's best! Next time you go to a MAC store or MAC counter, ask the artist what is so special about our brushes and why do you need different ones. BRUSHES ARE AN INVESTMENT AND QUALITY BRUSHES ARE NOT CHEAP. You should know that your artist may not have went to school for what they do, but they are CERTIFIED by MAC. And according to sales, reviews, and fashion reports...MAC is THE LEADING COSME... I always wanted to start a MAC collection after seeing all the makeup ppl on YouTube obsess over it. Yesterday I went to MAC and got: liquid foundation powder foundation 3 eyeshadows (blank type, pink venus, and espresso) pencil liner in coffee and a dazzleglass in steppin' out ok I am a 14 yr old girl with acne and I can use the liquid foundation ALONE. it works sooo well I don't even need conceler! Even tho I will wear the powder over it because I don't like to wear liquid with nothing over it. The eye shadows are also really great, very pigmented. Although I'd rather get a $18.00 88 pallet from coastal sence that are just as good quality rather than 3 eyeshadows from MAC $14.00 each! The eye liner I haven't used yet but I swatched it yesterday and I rubbed it and washed it and everything and you can STILL see a faint line! It doesn't even smudge! And last but not least the dazzle glass! I wanted one of these so bad and I finally got one and I'm not dissapointed. I got a hot pi... Read more

I feel M.A.C. cosmetics are overrated. Girls just get addicted to all the sparkle and of course the gossip that it is so good. Their eyeshadows are nice, but the rest of their makeup is nothing special and their foundation is awful. I would recommend M.A.C. eyeshadows to anyone who likes dramatic or bold eye-makeup. Also be hesitant of the M.A.C. "make-up artists" as they call themselves. I am sick of thew screwing up my makeup when I go in their. Last time I wanted a nude lipstick sample and the guy decided to also lather on hot pink lip gloss that he got all over my face.

over rated and over priced thats my opinion. I bought a lipgloss from them once and returned it the next day. I see nothing special about it. My loreal color juice is better, and alot less over priced. I have been wearing loreal for four years and there the best. I get compliments all the time on my makeup. Loreal also has better deals alot of times there on sale at the drug stores.

I ordered mac cosmetics online way before our christmas party. I was careful to include my apartment no in the info and still I checked my confirmation email and they missed it. I called the soonest I can even before the "your mac has been shipped" e mail and I spoke to non sympathetic customer service and said they added the apartment number and got another email stating it. My christmas party has passed and still no MAC. Another uncaring customer service rep said that the only time I called was one time only and not before it was sent. I felt victimized considering the amount i have paid and poor service I got. PLEASE AVOID ORDERING ONLINE AND DEALING WITH MAC CUSTOMER REPS IF YOU DON'T WANT TO FEEL VICTIMIZED.

What can I say I am a little obssed with M.A.C. makeup. I swear I own every shade of eyeshadow they have created. I love their eyeshadows, they are highly pigmented and rich, with lots of lustre and sparkle. I always get compliments on my makeup and I people always ask what type of makeup I'm wearing. Also a big fan of their foundation as well, it is very light and sheer and is not too heavy and doesn't have a unpleasant smell like some foundations do.

Mac cosmetics are truly amazing. Once i had acne prone skin and the only foundation that could covered was the mac studio fix liquid foundation. I love mac. I now have a huge collection that is only growing and growing. Some say the formulas are irritating and that may be the case sometimes but if you take care of your skin, take off the makeup before bed and actually wash your face prep prime and moisturize, YOU WILL LOVE THE END RESULTS. I do all the appropriate steps before i apply Mac. My favorite product hands down is the Studio fix liquid foundation applied with the foundation brush. I also love that if you turn in 6 products u get a free lipstick, SO LADIES DON"T THROW AWAY OLD MAC!

M.A.C What can i say? M.A.C is lilke my bff.......its always on me! I so love their products, although prices are high but for me its worth it. Eyeshadows= i love all their BRIGHT colors.....and if you love their eyeshadows its way less expensive if you buy the palette for $12 and each palette eyeshadow of your choice is only $10. Powder= Studio Fix NC42 does it for me...Studio Fix is way better than just the press powder. Blush= The newest "Daft Pink"....but they always have different blush colors to choose from. As per the customer service i have received here in Orange County its been the best. They are always there to assist you!

MAC Cosmetics is a high quality brand, but I think that their stores and consultants can be intimidating because of the "couture" image the company tries to represent. My friend in college had a great lip gloss that was non-sticky by MAC that I loved to use, but I have never been able to justify the price of the cosmetics and therefore have never bought any myself.

If you like to have fun with makeup MAC is just for you! Their crazy colors and wild creations really show that they look at makeup as an art! They use fun celebrities in their product campaigns also! I specifically enjoy MAC's false lashes. I rarely get them put on but when I do I choose MAC. You can make an appointment and for a low cost they will apply them for you so your guaranteed not to loose them during that first hot new date ;) Wouldn't that be horrible!!!

The first time I had a MAC experience was when I made an appointment at the Macy's counter for my high school senior prom. Of course I wanted to look nice and I knew all of the other girls were going there as well. Well to start off I am an African American with dark skin. I'm far from Blurple, but I'm not high yellow either. The woman who was available to do my make up was a white woman in her mid to late 30s. She asked me what color my dress was and I told her SPECIFICALLY a light sort of orange sherbet color, and she got excited. The WHOLE time she was telling me that her inspiration for me was Beyonce'. Now like I told you my complexion is more like that of Gabrielle Union and not Beyonce', but this women hadn't noticed. She layered my eye lids with this bright orange shadow and highlighted it with another darker orange and needless to say when she was done I looked like a freaking crustacean. I was so embarrassed and didn't know how to tell her I didn't like it, because she was ... Read more

THE best! best pigments in shadows, great selection , foundation is OIL FREE and gives you the flawless look (when used correctly, it wont clog your pores as it hypoallergenic) use the concealer for your troubled spots and blend over with the studio fix. just don't use the studio fix for touch ups or to refresh, that's not what its made for, it may look like a powder and feel light like a powder but it is in fact a foundation just like the liquids! if you want to refresh/touch up use a blot powder (translucent but with a tint of color so you don't look powdered or pastey) a pressed powder or the fix plus thats what they are meant for! As long as you are matched up correctly and shown how much to use (ie how to use it CORRECTLY) you should also wash your face at night and use a moisturizer to keep your skin clean and fresh (if you don't want to look powdery with the studio fix use the STROBE cream before you put it on, it will give you a luminous glow). Prices are also way below other h... Read more

I was initially overjoyed when I discovered MAC makeup. Great colours, great cover. HOWEVER I switched to their Studio Fix powder foundation and my face began to develop sores. No joke. Couldn't work out what it was until I switched back to what I was initially using (Clarins) and the problem cleared up straight away. Sure, MAC covered up the problem, but it also CREATED the problem. I do not have sensitive skin, and have never had a skin reaction to anything before in my life. I am really shocked, there must be some nasty ingredients in their products.

As a Make-up Artist I think Mac is great. eyeshadow Colors are endless and last long. lipglosses are excellent something for everyone. lipsticks... i like the matte ones cause they last longer and they always smell soo good! well all of them do. Brushes work very well, some of the best brushes ive came across!  I like using the foundations and powders for photoshoots face looks flawless on camera. I like there lip pencil sharpener ive had it for 4years and it sharpens like new :) there mascaras are good not as good as other brands. On myself i use different makeup lines. from Laura Mercier to CVS eyeliner! use whatever works for you! Overall this cosmetic line is excellent and alot cheaper than most cosmetic lines.

I love MAC's eye shadows. I use them everyday. They have awesome colors and a wide range of options for a girl/guy who has glamour in mind. I use their SPF 15 Foundation on a daily basis and it is the best foundation I have ever used (I have extremely sensitive skin). I was not too impressed with their eyeliners, mascaras, and lipstick. I think they are extremely expensive for the most part, and that there are some less expensive competitor products that may be just as good in some areas. Check out the eye shadow though. <3

The nail polished are to the greatest I have ever experienced as a nail tech. The customer service is outstanding friendliest ever. The counter help has the best trained eye. And very helpful. I love the counter at Macys Bridgewater commons Mall. Actually all the counters are very nice there. Better than Lord N taylor. I have a feeling the cosmetics manager must be nice to work for. Because the help there; they seem so pleasant. Beauty Editor & frequent shopper at Macys Bridgewater Commons

I was always told that MAC employees were "make-up artists." I went today to get my make-up done for very important pictures. The girl did such a bad job that she had to do it over. She told me that they dont have to school to work there, they only have to go to an "interview" in which they have to apply make up to a model. If they do well then they get hired. I will never go to MAC for make up service. I dont really know how good their products are but dont I dont recommend their services. I was really disappointed and had to cancel the picture appointment.

When I first used Mac Studio Fix Fluid, it made my skin complexion even for the first time... however, it eventually dried out my skin, and I started breaking out (I don't normally break out). Now I use Studio tech, and this cream based foundation creates more moisture in my skin than studio fix fluid. I like their Lustreglass because of their shine, but for something less bling bling (in terms of being able to see the individual bling of the sparkles haha) I like their Lip Glass... I'm using their lip glass in Trifle right now for something subtle because I'm in this phase of more dramatic eyes... Ive used their eyeliner ( i forgot what it's called, too lazy to check, kolk--- something something...the twisty pencil)... and like others it starts rubbing off after awhile on my skin, even though when i first began to use it it stayed on.. it has to do with my skin, i dont know, it gets used to it and goes against the eyeliner or something haha.. I absolutely love M.A.C. Cosmetics. This amazingly fluent cosmetic company possesses a variety of products that cater to an array of demographics. I have quite a few favorite lines and products, however; if I had to choose my ultimate favorite, I would state it to be "M.A.C. Lipglass". This is the ultimate lip gloss. As a lip gloss fanatic, if I were to create the ultimate top 10-15 list of best lip glosses, I have ever used, M.A.C. lipglass would definitely make the list, without hesitation. If you haven't tried it, I truly recommend trying it. With that stated, M.A.C. Cosmetics is absolutely wonderful!

I love MAC!! I'm not a big makeup person but when I do wear it - I mostly wear MAC. I love the looks. I love sitting in the chair and having them make me over. MAC makes me feel like a superstar. The products look great on me and even strangers compliment me. I also feel good because it's not just drugstore make-up. My best friend is obsessed and has over a thousand dollars in their makeup but I don't go that far. I usally buy the products used in my makeover - every few months. One thing I don't like is that the local MAC branch near my home has a policy that you must buy 5 products for a full face makeover and 3 for a eye makeover.

MAC Cosmetics is amazing! I was introduced to this amazing cosmetic company a few years ago by a friend of mine who does makeup for a living. He suggested to me one night on the phone "Sarah, you have to try MAC Cosmetics" and continued "I use this makeup on the celebrities and people I work with, you are going to love it" hence why we got on the subject of foundation, lip gloss, and mascara (among many other members of the cosmetic family). I was strictly determined and decided to order a few things from the official website. I use a lot of MAC Cosmetics and I am truly impressed. I truly recommend MAC Cosmetics for anyone really. I guess the only people who do not appreciate MAC or wouldn't appreciate MAC are people that aren't willing to spend over $10 for a lip gloss. If you are one of those individuals that wouldn't spend a little extra for quality, I don't recommend MAC to you. Sure their products are more expensive than the average cosmetic quo, but they are worth it, as a result... Read more

I recently started using MAC... and I wont go back.. I used regular drug cosmetics, and now I am in my thirties- I pretty much have to apply it super thick, and with a butter knife to make it look good, and then reapply through out the day. With MAC, I apply in the morning, and I am done for the day, and I still look great at supper.:)
