Never fired it but always wanted to. A legend among rifles, shot big bullets that left big holes.

I have shot hundreds if not thousands of rounds with this weapon. It is still in use in some parts of the world but the ubiquitous AK-47 is supplanting it. It has great stopping power and is easy to operate and load. The 9 1/2 pounds helps with the recoil.

The M1 Garand, is one of the best semiautos. major drawback is u couldnt reload before u used all the shells in the clip

Unmatched as a basic infantry weapon in WW II, despite a couple of minor drawbacks. Ever had an M1 thumb? An easy weapon to shoot and to field strip. Pretty reliable under most conditions.

The weapon was good, but the design could't let u reload in the middle of a clip.

Only drawback was the ping when it was empty. Great rifle.
