I am a former LRS Realty and Management Employee and I worked with LRS for about 18 months. I had a great experience and learned so much! I can tell you first hand how hard the staff works--most of the employees arrive to work before 7am! Further, I would notice the maintenance department staying and working extremely late, most of the time until 9pm. The staff would go out of their way to make sure the owner and tenants were taken care of. Recently, I have been interviewing with other management companies in the area and I am completely shocked at how hands off they are with their owners and tenants. Most companies said they don't even go out to the buildings! What?!?! Currently I do not own investment properties but if I did LRS would be the company I would choose hands down. Keep it up LRS, you guys are great. Your loyalty to clients and hard work prevails in the long run :)

I own a 40 unit building in Los Angeles and for over two years I've had many problems. My expenses have been very high and I had negative cash flow monthly. Over six months ago I signed with LRS to manage my property. I just received my operating statement for January. For the first time in well over two years I have positive cash flow! I want to thank everyone at LRS for working so hard on my behalf!

As an owner of property in this tough real estate economy, I appreciate the work LRS has done for me. They have been very up front with me regarding the current economic situation and I truly appreciate that. I have excellent tenants and I highly recommend LRS.

LRS has managed three homes for me for over two years. Recently two homes went vacant at the same time. To my absolute delight both homes were rented within two weeks of being vacant. Not only were they rented extremely fast, but I got the rent I wanted. Needless to say I am happy camper! Thank You LRS!!

LRS Realty and Management has been serving me for over 10 years now and they go by the book as they should. As opposed to other management companies, LRS does not take short cuts nor do they ever put me at risk as an owner. They are licensed, insured, and bonded and I, as an owner, am covered 100% of the time. Their entire office staff are polite, timely aware and treat my property as if it were their own. They handle everything in a time sensitive manner, and they know how to turn a struggling buiulding into a success. I have seen this many times over! I have referred over six other properties to be managed by them and we have had nothing but success...I would refer LRS to anyone and everyone. LRS is professional, fair, and they won't EVER lie to you. They tell it like it is and that is what makes them so good!

LRS Realty and Management has been in this business since 1988. We have served tens of thousands of tenants and clients during this time period. The vast majority of our relationships have been very positive! As I read these reviews I fully realize that we have not made everyone happy. I can only say that all of us no matter what business we work in will not get along with everyone. As a Company, we are committed to doing the best job possible. Maybe one day we will meet again and who knows????????

I had the great misfortune to get into a lease with these idiots. They are an absolute NIGHTMARE! There is no way in hell that these "5" star ratings are real, they probably just have their incompetent employees posting these to mislead the public (when they should be working). I cannot wait until my lease is up so I never have to speak to anyone there ever again. They are sneaky, lying scumbags who are only out to rip you off and could care less about the tenants. When you call you always get the run-around, then they don't call you back or fix the problem you called about, or they blame you for the problem. Then the worst part is that when you finally get someone who is not a complete idiot to help you, next time you call they say that person no longer works there (which I don't blame them, the owner Gail is a NIGHTMARE, I'm sure it sucks working for her!) I'm really just doing a public service to warn others DO NOT RENT FROM LRS!!! IF you do you will be very sorry! The WORS... Read more

Lrs has made it real easy for me. When I needed a bigger place, they found me just what I wanted. Since I was already renting from them, the transition was EASY ! Gail Bernstein has been real good in helping me with my housing needs. Any time that I have had any kind of a problem, it has been taken care of in a timely manner.

I would not let any other company handle my rental houses. LRS has kept my houses rented and in good condition. Gail is the best !!!

When my house got damaged, I couldn't stay there. Gail Bernstein at LRS provided me with a house to rent that same day. She even helped me deal with the insurance company. I rented a nice clean house and the people at LRS went the extra mile for me. It didn't matter who I talked to at their office as everyone was friendly and helpful. They made my house rental experience just perfect. I really can't believe that what I am reading in some of these other reviews can possibly be true. I am of the opinion that there are a few scammers and some delusional people out there !!! I would DEFINITELY recommend LRS Realty to anyone and everyone !!! Go to their office and interview them. Talk to some of their clients as they leave the office. See for yourself, as I did, and I believe that you will be as satisfied a customer as I was.

I'm a very hard-working 24-year-old female trying my best here in Los Angeles as a coordinating producer in TV. I love my dogs just as mothers love their own children. Many dog owners can relate to the challenges of finding pet-friendly apartments in the city, especially with breed restrictions, weight limits and so forth. So I've searched and even resorted to Craigslist as some people do to find a decent apartment for me and Bruno, my small fourteen pound Pekingese. At times it felt impossible to find a pet-friendly complex for us, but I found a cute place in North Hollywood, thinking all was perfect as the advertisement said "pet-friendly." A peaceful place, close to work, and allowed dogs - supposedly. I signed the lease, paid a pet deposit, wrapped it up. Turns out, I'm the only one with a dog at the complex and came across problems with the manager because of it, feeling awfully discriminated. After I invited my boyfriend and Bruno's best friend over, I received a letter ... Read more

As a previous customer of LRS, as a homeOWNER, I will say that I am appalled at the poor level of responsiveness from this company, & incompetence of their service. The company, who we had worked with for over a year, claimed not to have our mailing address on file (!!!) & that's why certain things were lost or never sent, needed multiple calls to get someone to respond, made our tenants very unhappy, (for the same reasons, no responsiveness, maintenance probs not fixed) (so, where was all THAT $$ for "maintenance costs" going? if things never got fixed??) and in the end, LRS played this same card...essentially blamed the tenants for the problems that had arisen, at least to us. We are very happy that we got rid of them, and we are so upset that they were the company that represented US to our tenants.

We were not aware of this blog until just recently. I will address these now, although it is now over 2 years ago. Our managing department is amazing, professional, and friendly. Keep in mind, when we manage a home or apartment we are representing the owner of the property. We will often not get permission to follow through with some complaints. The owner may not approve a repair, etc... They may not want to spend the money, or hold off. We then will appear not to be doing our part when in fact; it is the actual owner of the property that we are representing that has the last say. Thank you so much for the opportunity to address these issues. You can all our office direct for any concerns. We appreciate the consideration and the opportunity to serve you to the best of our ability!

I have been a homeowner and a tenant. I am currently a tenant and have been with LRS for 18 mos. The first 8 months were adequate, a few times had to make several calls, but generally they were responsive. However, in the past 8 months, things have fallen off severely. Maintainance requests are only handled in emergency situations, or when several calls are made to agents. Maintenance persons even admit they are unable to 'remember' or handle your requests, and that you will have to call to 'remind' them. Seriously. We called about 14 times to have pest control come. We have a relationship with the homeowners, who approved the pest control months ago, and we have yet, five months later, to have anyone come out to our property to spray. This contrasts directly with our experience last year with LRS, where they were able to get a pest control company out within a few days. We are very concerned with their ability to manage individual homeowners' properties. Our neighbors have ... Read more

I agree with the other poster. These people provide no service after you sign the lease. They have a Better Business rating of 'F'!!! Look it up for yourself. No one ever returns your phone calls, you can't get any maintenance done, parking is a joke. I was a very good tenant and always paid on time, but they still gave me the shaft. AVOID THEM.

I was a tenant under this company's management for only 6 months, during which time, my phone messages were not returned for weeks at a time, my property was not cleaned prior to my move in, the toilet was not properly installed and took weeks after my tenancy began to be repaired... Best of all, after I moved out it took almost 3 months to receive my security deposit back, after numerous phone calls and dispicably rude treatment by the "receptionist". I still to this day, have no explanation or record for the $300 withheld from my security deposit... If you can avoid these people, I advise you do so at all costs. Nothing is worth such headaches and unprofessional treatment, especially having been a great tenant who paid rent on time and caused no damage to the property...
