Mon Dec 27 2010Terrible Experience. They wanted to charge me 325 dollars for parts and labor to install a 26 dollar evaporator fan motor. It took less than 1 minute for the tech to get to the fan and remove it. I told him for that price I would do it myself. Was not treated very well either. They also would not bill me for the service, they required payment on the spot. Never had to deal with that before. Would not do business with them again.

Wed Dec 08 2010Okay, this is a mixed review. I picked Low Rates Appliance Repair, also known as All Pro Appliance Repair in San Diego because of their affiliation with the Better Business Bureau. The positive part of the review was the technician Ivan found the problem in a reasonable time, had the part ordered, and repaired the washer in a timely manner. My complaint is that before he left he told me not to use the washer until he repaired it because it could possibly put a strain on the other parts and another part could go bad. I unplugged the washer and we didn't touch the machine until he returned to repair the machine. I was at work, and when he came to repair the washer he went to the kitchen where my wife was working and complained that he didn't appreciate customers who mess with the appliance while he was gone. What!!!!! My wife knew we had not touched the machine and almost thew him out of our house if he said one more word. Good technical technician, but terrible at customer servic... Read more

Mon Oct 26 2009I have used Low Rates Appliance again and again. I just had a technician named Alex to fix my range. What a pleasure. The techician has arrived at the required schedule that I have requested for. He has done the job with accuracy and had a very reasonable estimate. I will stick with this company and recommend to everyone I would know.

Mon May 11 2009Paid $300 for 5 mins of work. Got home one evening to find my refrigerator was on, but very warm inside, there was no cooling going on.... Called "Low Rates Appliance Repair" and made an appointment for a technician to come out that evening. They called back and told me that he was going to be there early, I told them that was fine! He pulled up at around 6:30. He literally walked in pulled out a capicitor and a switch that were bad, walked back to his truck to get replacements, plugged them in and got the thing working. GREAT (I thought to myself)... Then he said $295.... Did an internet search for the parts (that I asked him to leave behind) and found both parts for less than $30.... Kinda felt like I should have at least gotten a kiss afterward..... :P

Wed Aug 29 2007Like the other reviewer, bad experience. Will not use again. These people missed two appointments. Kept deposit money, even after missing the second appointment. Poor communication and lack of integrity. We thought we would save money because of the Low Rates name. The next appliance repair company completed the job AND did it for $30 less.
