Even though my arguments on here with dog food fanatics and my extremely negative reviews of organizations like PETA may make some of you think otherwise, I don't hate dogs. In fact I do like dogs, just not inside. If I ever live out in the country and have enough land for a dog to roam comfortably, I'll get a hardy dog who can live outdoors.

"Dogs aren't our whole lives, but they make our lives whole." -Roger Caras While I think that anybody who needs a dog to complete them is missing some very important things in their life, I do agree with overall sentiment of that quote. 4 months before I was born, my parents got a standard poodle named Trixie. That did it for me, I was hooked forever. I moved around a lot when I was younger so having that constant friend was always nice. I have siblings to be my constant friends too, but the dog was much less annoying. She was the family dog, but I was the one who fed, walked, and played with her. I wouldn't have had it any other way. She was the family dog, but I had it in my head that if I was the one who was responsible for her care, then I could have the monopoly on her. Years later, after she was gone and I was grown I realized that my actions were dumb. I could have still played with her and gotten all the benefits of her without taking on the added responsibility of her care, ... Read more

I'm on very good terms with the one that lives at our house. The one that left us six moths ago for the great off-leash park in the sky will always have a place in my heart.

I used my beloved dog, Fido, as my avatar for a long time on this site. He got old and left me. I still miss his love.

If you mean "Lover of Dogs" as in "I think dogs are awesome", then yes, very much so: I like dogs more than I like most people. If you mean "Lover of Dogs" in a way in which I will not speak of . . . . then that's just disturbing . . . . .

They're ok, but they require too much maintenance.

That is definitely me because I have always loved them. I currently want one to add to our tiny little family of only two people but an apartment wouldn't do it justice.

I am definitely a lover of dogs...now. Before we got our golden retriever, Jessie, I really wasn't a huge fan of animals in general. Now, I can't get enough, and I "oo" and "aww" at dogs I see all the time. I have become a crazy dog person over time.
