Mon Aug 10 2009I love airports because I love to travel. What a boring life if you are stuck in one place one country for the rest of your life. I just don't know how people do it. I know it's not for me. Logan airport is nice and clean. They have restaurants, Dunkin Donuts and other little stores. They have many airlines available. The restrooms are clean and housekeepers are always working. The staff is diverse and nice. They are organized and I also feel secured because of the security and the police outside an inside the airport. The only thing I disliked was the asian lady at the information center she was so rude. That was at the E international departures, arrivals. I like the free shuttles from the airport and the airport T stop. It's so convenient. Most of the reviews gave good reviews to Logan airport. This is for the one who gave this airport 2 stars and 1. First of all most of you guys are not from Boston so now I know why you guys gave bad reviews to Logan. You guys are a bunch of East c... Read more

Thu Feb 12 2009Dear Logan Airport, Thank you for letting me run all through your Terminal B absolutely sh*faced lastmonth without being detained and tazed by TSA. I promise I'll write a real review when I actually get to fly somewhere. I love you, tracy

Fri Sep 26 2008The car traffic is hideous -- Bostonians proverbially don't pick up their own mothers from the airport. The terminals themselves must have either an insufficient number of employees, or they just move too slow, because there are always some crazy lines waiting to go through security ... it can take an hour! But the MTBA's Silver Line is actually pretty convenient, once you get over the fact that this "subway" line consists of an ordinary street bus.

Fri Sep 26 2008I notice that many of the most damning reviews of Logan are old ones. I'll admit that they were true at the time. Since much of the construction is complete, it is infinitely better than it was. I spend a lot of time there and it is presently running as smoothly as such a busy place can. Since it is actually in Boston, unlike most big city airports which are located miles away, the automobile traffic can be extreme, but the public transportation is good. Security has become more efficient over time. The new runway has helped with the weather delays. Most importantly, the people try very hard to make it work. Having this major airport within 2 miles of my house has made life easier for me.

Wed Apr 16 2008Ugh. Fly to Providence or Philly and drive.

Tue Jan 08 2008KBOS, or Logan Airport, is a very busy airport. The construction does not help much. It's easily accessible to Boston by the Ted Williams tunnel, or the T.

Wed Jun 06 2007What bad things can one add to BOS that hasn't already been said? I figure there must be something in the water in Boston to make everything run so badly. I have never had an easy or good experience here at Logan, and the traffic in and out is rather hairy. The new Big Dig is supposed to make things move a lot better on Boston.

Wed May 23 2007Worst U.S. airport I've ever been in, although it's been a few years, and there was a lot of construction going on at the time, so maybe some of the problems have been fixed. It was almost impossible to find my gate. The maps in the terminal I flew into didn't even show the terminal that I was flying out of. I had to go up to one of the service counters just to confirm that the terminal I wanted actually existed. Then I was told that the only way to get there was to "go out those doors over there, turn right and walk about half a mile." The whole way I was walking through an outdoor construction area, with my luggage, because it wouldn't transfer through for an international flight. Unless things have changed a lot in the last few years, never book an international flight through Boston. It's just not worth it.

Mon Oct 16 2006If any flight of mine ever leaves this dump on time, I swear I'll fold my hands and thank Osiris the Egyptian God for actually making something in this pit actually work. . .Logan is where time goes to die. . .where deadlines go to get smashed into tiny pieces. . .bring a Russian novel 'cause your bitch-ass ain't goin' anywhere soon. . .

Mon Oct 16 2006Dante wrote of the seven principalities or levels of Hell.. but he'd never been to Logan or he might have suggested eight. I'll grant that it's improved over the last couple of years, however.

Mon Oct 16 2006No hometown nepotism out of me, reviewers like Jed and Canadasucks and the rest of them are absolutely correct. The second worst airport I've ever been in is the one in Newark, N.J., but this is light years worse than that one. Noisy, never on time,it just blows. Think about that for a minute. Worse than Newark!

Sat Jan 28 2006Best things about Logan Airport: 1) US Airways shuttle to NYC and DC - hourly flights, assigned seats (unlike Delta) and easy to use an attractive terminal. 2) Opening of Ted Williams Tunnel makes it SOOO much easier to get there from Metro West (and downtown too). 3) Massport Logan Express buses to Framingham, Braintree, Woburn and Peabdy take so much stress away from an airport trip and only $20 round trip. Worst thing: long lines, cramped spaces, and a long haul walk from Central Parking lot.

Fri Sep 16 2005I don't understand what people have against Logan. There are no long walks to anywhere, everything is clearly labelled, and the airport runs smoothly. What else matters? So it isn't all linear and grid-like. Neither is the rest of Boston!! Who really cares about the architecture, honestly? I have flown into and out of BOS dozens of times and only had one canellation and maybe 1-2 delays due to weather. Now that the Silver Line goes right up to the terminals, getting there on the T is really easy, too. For the record, the 9/11 terrorists passed through security at Bangor, not at Logan. So you can't say Logan has a poor security record.

Sat Jun 04 2005Chaotic place to fly to. Too much crammed into it and confusing to get around. Glad they built the roads with the Big Dig or this place would get negative Stars.

Wed Mar 09 2005Although they have made improvements this airport is simply manic and stressful. The layout is bizarre, no main terminal, rather 5 seperated concourse terminals. When your decending into Boston you may notice that your jet is circleing around the metro area about 2 or 3 times before you land because it's so crowded. As reccommended below try Manchester NH or Providence RI. They are both small, easy, short lines and both airports are only and hour from the Boston area.

Tue Nov 30 2004Two year ago, I would have given this place negative stars. Now, it's sooo much better. I agree with Irishgit about Providence, but Manchester NH is a great option too.

Wed Jul 28 2004It is a decent airport, but watch out for the security lines as they are very long, even for preferred airline customers.

Mon Jun 14 2004An insult to archectitural design and client use. Boston is a low-grade migraine headache in every respect and Logan begins and ends the whole thing. The Kennedys and Tip O'Neill never did crapola for that town except reward fat cats and party pigs - the rest of us have to endure a horrible mess.

Wed Dec 05 2001Ugh... I hate this airport. It looks like something out of a seventies horror movie with it's huge, grim facade. It is always packed, and flights are always delayed because of the weather. Tack on a horrendous security record and you have one of the worst airports in the country.
