Liberty Moving and Storage

This is my fourth move within Manhattan and my first one with Liberty Moving & Storage. I only wish I have learned about them sooner and used them for the fist 3 times. Every time before I used local companies that were not affiliated with a major chain like United and I was getting ripped off and figured it was just a ?part of moving? but they truly changed my opinion about it. I moved from Gramercy to the UES. Steve came over (on time!) to do the estimate and was so pleasant and professional. I got the quote on the spot and decided to go with them, there price was not the lowest but had learned before how quickly that can change. I chose the pack & unpack service this time (too stressful to do all on your own) and was so impressed!!! Once again, the crew arrived on time and were so respectful to me and my things. I have recently made a move from Saint James, NY to Selden NY and could not have been happier with my choice of moving company. I have moved a several times and have never been near as pleased as I am with Liberty Moving and Storage. The crew was courteous and professional and my belongings were protected and cared for perfectly. They completed my move quickly and the whole experience was far less stressful than I ever could have imagined. I have since recommended Liberty to several of my friends and they were also extremely pleased with the service they received. If you want a great move USE LIBERTY MOVING & STORAGE!

I sold my house in Brooklyn and had to move in July. I haD lived in the house my entire life and it was going to be a chore to move. I had deliveries to two stops in LI. All I thought about was "how are they going to do it?". Bernie was my sales rep gave me an estimate. I didn't go to any other moving company because they came highly recommended and I did not have the time or energy to shop around. I got a great price and prayed everything would go well. My belongings were going into storage until I found a new home. They did not disappoint me. The crew lead by Julio arrived at my home at 7 am and called the night before! They did a great job of doing the inventory to packing my paintings, mirrors and other delicate belongings. They were professional and courteous and organized. My Aunt recently passed. We needed to find a moving company to pack, move and distribute the furniture and keepsakes she left behind, from her West Side Apartment. The items were going to 3 places: my apartment on the Upper East Side; my Brother's home in Larchmont and the remainder to my Sister's place in Syosset. 4 companies came over for quotes. Of those, we were most impressed with Liberty Moving & Storage. They were priced in the mid-to-high range, but they made us feel confident that they could do a better job than the others. Their "can-do" attitude and attention to detail convinced us to go with them. Because Liberty has been in business for 70 years, we assumed that they must know their business. The move was scheduled for the following week. On move day there was a snag, which worried me. We were scheduled to start at 9:00 a.m., but they had trouble parking the truck. I recently bought the home of my dreams in Long Island! As much as I was exited about moving into it the thought of moving made me sick... A friend of mine recommended Liberty Moving and I couldn?t be happier that I took her advise. From the initial phone call I was treated like gold! I did not have to lift a finger and I cant tell you how happy that made me! Their staff was professional, courteous and friendly. They were on time and kept all their promises, I couldn't be happier with their service. So here I am in my new home and completely stress free! Thank you Liberty Moving!!!

Due to personal reasons, I found myself in a position of having to move quickly. It was an emotional time in my life and needed to call serveral moving companies. Not having any idea about the moving industry or the cost involved, I was in a very vulnerable position. I called several companies and decided to go with Liberty Moving & Storage. They were not only considerate and compansionate of my feelings but they walked me through all the steps necessary to make this move more bearable. Of course, they couldn't perform miracles and make all my problems disappear but they did however, make my move a much more than expected enjoyable one. The moving crew were great and made me laugh. The sales person, Steve was not only knowledgeable but very understanding of my needs. I definately got my monies worth. I would recommend them to anyone who needs to move.

My husband and I recently used Liberty United to do our move to Virginia. Although we were familiar with United Van Lines, we were pretty skeptical about moving companies in general because of all the negative stories you hear about them ripping people off. I have to say that our experience with Liberty came as a pleasant surprise. Our estimator, Steve, took his time to carefully inventory all items in our apartment and then printed out a detailed proposal that showed us how we would be charged. He gave us great advice on how to pack our belongings and how Liberty would handle the packing and transportation of my husband's prized large screen plasma TV. Steve was always available by cell phone to answer our questions, which we had a lot of. In the end, our move to our new home in Virginia went very smooth. Recently my husband and I moved from Queens, NY to Huntington, NY. Having many moving estimates and trying to decide which moving company to choose was a definite chore. Even though Liberty Moving & Storage was higher in price my husband & I decided that Liberty was the company that we were going to engage to do our move. My sales representative Marilyn took the time to explain everything to us and answer any questions that needed to be answered. As the moving industry is aware this is an emotional, frustrating and fearful time in ones life to pick up and relocate after being in your environment for some 30 odd years. I had the most pleasant crew arrive at my home on moving day. Not only did they arrive on time they were all in uniform to proceed with my move. Hats off to Julio and his crew. I cannot express what a joy it was to use Liberty Moving and Storage last month. The original moving company I hired never showed up at my Manhattan apartment on Sunday to do my move. I left a message for Liberty Moving on Sunday night and they immediately called me Monday morning to try and help me. As it turns out, they did help me. More than I expected. They consistently called me to inform me of the progress of the crew coming to my apartment that same afternoon. They realized that I needed to be out of my building that evening and that I had a 6:30 a.m flight the following day. All my items were carefully removed from my apartment and loaded by 4:30 p.m. and I arrived at the airport just in time to board my plane back to Los Angeles. My shipment arrived to my new residence on time and in perfect condition. "Moving Made Easy" - that should be Liberty Moving & Storages slogan. My husband & I finally retired and decided to get out of the city & move to Arizona. We have 40 wonderful years of "treasures". My initial contact with Liberty was with their Customer Svc Rep, Karen. She was friendly, helpful and very patient ( I tend to ask a lot of questions). She set us up with an appointment to have their consultant, Steve, come to our home & write the esimate. He was such a pleasure. He wasn't your typical salesman. He wasn't in a rush to get in and out. He took the time to talk with us. There was also no pressure from Steve to sign immediately to lock in prices (like I had heard from other companies). we did sign that day anyway because the price was right and everyone was so pleasant. I have been working in NYC on a temporary assignment for 3 months and have recently been offered a permanent position, which I have accepted. Even though I was excited about living in NYC I was very apprehensive about the actual move. Moving from Russia to America is not an easy task, not to mention all the horror stories I have heard, and experienced, with some moving companies. However, this time it was not the case! I feel extremely lucky that I found Liberty Moving!!! They took such good care of me that I almost enjoyed moving.
