I have been reading some of the Not So Nice reviews and I truly find it Hard to Believe anyone could write such things about the One Person and Agency I have learn to trust over the years. I have known Leslie and her associates for nine and a half years, ever since I first arrived in New York; she is loyal and honest without a fault. Having moved up from the south, Leslie guided me through the maze of things I had to learn to succeed in not just temping for her but also finding a job in the most impossible of times. She has sent me out on temp assignments for people she found positions for and I never once heard anything unprofessional said about her and the company. Everyone who knows Leslie in the city knows her on a professional side and I personally think her as a friend. Upon entering, I felt a sense of hope after seeing a sea of thank you cards gracing the already busy walls. And, now, I thought, “Whew! Now I see what Monet meant.” Trying to squint to see some of the writing, I remember all the marvelous statements and the awfully busy EA running the whole office! Meeting Leslie was like meeting one of my Aunts. Straight forward, bluntly honest and terribly to the point; not only was she tip top kosher, she had a presence unlike any I have ever come to witness. She helped me re-craft my resume and she kept in touch with my pestering emails. What she promised she delivered and so did her amazing office. Claire was just awesome. Mark was the perfect EA anyone would ever want to meet. To be honest, if you have the talent LS&A is looking for, they will surely place you. If you don’t, I am sure LS&A will provide the best available advice and will truly work with you to discover your new pathway.

i went in and for my 10am appointment. The room was full of other candiates. So they had me fill out this card and i had to sit there a full hour before Leslie saw me. Now the thing is the other girls who went in to see her were talking for a little while maybe 15 minutes. so it was my turn. So did she get up to greet me and say come in? NO she yelled my name from her office and i went in and asked me maybe 3 questions with a crappy look on her face.. then said call me Friday morning i have a few places i would like to send ur resume to..i was in there maybe 3 minutes after waiting an hour.. so i called her friday and she said nothing to report but keep calling her back..lol... the thing is if she does not like how u look you can forget her ever trying to find a job for you... she bases it all on appearance.. i just got that feeling.. why talk to me for 3 minutes only and shoe me away... Worst Agency!! what a waste of my time! Leslie is very unprofessional, makes you wait for a long time. It took me 2 hours to get to her agency, another 3 hours for a word, and excel test. I was told she would have something for me the following week. I called every week for a month only to have her assistant tell me Leslie would get back to me. Finally, I decided to email Leslie asking if she found anything for me. I didn't even get a reply from her.

Leslie Silver and Associates are a wonderful agency to have in your corner when you are looking for work. I have worked with Leslie and Mark over the course of about 6 months and they are incredibly positive, warm, and take the extra second to pay attention to the details about the person and their goals. When I first met Leslie I was looking to transition from my college and waitressing days to something more substantial. Through a few three-month long temp assignments, I feel like I am gaining the experience I need to get the job I want-in the current NYC economy no less. More important than even the caring and respect you will be treated with, is the level of efficiency with which you will be matched to appropriate work. Leslie Silver & Associates is the most professional, caring and hands on agency that I've ever worked with. They were always accessible and treated me as an individual, which is not the norm in the temp world. I felt comfortable calling them with any questions and/or problems. They consistently made the effort to find work for me and to check in and see how it was going once I was on assignment. In addition, they actively sought to meet my financial requirements. This was extremely different from other agencies that I worked with in the past, which would send me out on low paying, unprofessional jobs, without reviewing my resume/experience level. Leslie Silver & Associates didn?t require computerized tests. They looked at my resume, talked with me about what I was looking for and asked when I was available. It was a team effort and the payoff is that I now have a great, permanent position due to their placement.

Just want to say I've had a great experience with Leslie Silver & Associates. Leslie and Mark have been nothing but kind and ultra-helpful to me. They've sent me to fantastic firms. I would definitely recommend them to all.

I have been temping and working administrative office jobs for years while I pursue my career in the arts. Over time, I have used at least 20-25 different staffing agencies and Leslie Silver &Associates was the first one I felt at home with. I deal with Marci there, who is fantastic and down-to-earth, I can really talk to her honestly and she really looks out for my best interests. She got me 2 jobs in the span of 6 months with a 50% salary increase - how can you beat that??!!! I have sent many friends there over the years and everyone is very pleased. Yes, there are certainly bigger agencies that boast bigger jobs and have more streamlined offices - but these ladies mean business, are real, and look out for you. They will take into account everything you say and to the best of their ability, find you a perfect fit. After reading the reviews, I am convinced that any positive review has been posted by either an employee of Leslie Silver and assoc, or Leslie herself. The posting on 7/21 depicts the atmosphere there very well. She doesn't shake your hand, keeps you waiting for no reason, and does not care about what you really want to do. All job-seekers and employers alike should look elsewhere.

Leslie is the ONLY person I call when it's time for me to move to another job. She's well connected and has the knack to know if personalities will fit in certain environments a talent that's difficult to fine. With her I've quadrupled my salary over the years. While I know that she's juggling clients and potential employees, she's able to treat me as if I'm the only person she's working for. She's truly amazing, truthworthy and a true woman of integrity which is really what matters in this industry!

Leslie Silver & Associates is the worst agency I have ever gone to. I was in a rush to make my appointment in the morning and arrived a few minutes before my scheduled time. I waited for over half an hour only to find out she thought the meeting was hour an hour later. Then as I sat patiently, I hear her making conversations with her co-workers and eating breakfast while I wait another half an hour. When I finally met her, she didn't shake my hand and only asked a few questions about myself. She had asked me to take the Microsoft office test and I completed it in about 30 to 40 minutes. By the time I was done, there was another candidate waiting and so I waited patiently again. More candidates started coming. After meeting four people and waiting 40 minutes, she finally acknowledge me to tell me she'll be with me shortly and so I waited..patiently. A good friend recommended Leslie to me as I was about ot graduate and get my first post-college job. I was working with other placement agencies as well, but I felt that Leslie was the most assertive in reaching out to set me up on interviews (and efficient!- I has as many as 3 different interviews in a day!), and in making sure I was prepped and ready for the interviews. She took time to get to know my background and what I was looking for in my next job. In a time where the job market was pretty slow, I was SO grateful when I had multiple offers, and had the luxury to choose my dream job! She also made sure I was getting the best package (vacation, medical, dental, etc) that they could offer, which was very important for me coming out of school. I've already given Leslie's contact information to two other people who will be looking for jobs, and I'm sure they will have an equally satisfying experience. Leslie is the best at what she does and so are her associates! I came in at 9:30am to meet with Leslie and then was sent out on an interview at a top hedge fund for a great job in the early afternoon for which I received and accepted an offer from later that same day.

I have been using Leslie Silver & Associates for over 15 years. Leslie has placed me three times with great companies. She did not waste my time like other search firms. She took the time to know me as a candidate. She worked hard and found the best fit for me. I am so happy with my new job. I have recommended my friends to Leslie and they have had great results as well. I also know first hand Leslie is very respected by employers and that is important. If the company doesn't like the recruiter, they will not use them. I highly recommend Leslie Silver & Associates. She found a great job for me in this tough economy!

Leslie Silver Assoc is presumptuous and careless, who only care about filling quotas. She shoved a job in my face that I told her I was not a right fit for. She then insulted me... I guess her only tactic to get someone to go on the interview. I also sat in her office for 5 minutes while she stayed on the phone discussing salads. I feel sorry for the companies that use her service. If they only knew she is wasting their time as well.

I was referred to Leslie Silver and went in with my resume to talk about potential positions. All that Leslie was worried about was my resume and whether or not she could "sell" it. There was no discussion about me and no attempt to get to know me past the resume she was holding. Upon leaving she told me she would get some temp work lined up, which I was fine with. I tried to check in with her for a couple of weeks after our "meeting" only to have her never respond, either to my emails or to my phone calls. I thought it was my problem at first until I decided to give Tempostions a try, and ended up getting a great job the day after my meeting with them. Needless to say, I was very disappointed with the lack of professionalism Leslie showed by not contacting me to at least tell me she could not help me. If you have a great resume already, don't waste your time with a recruiter.

This service supposedly dedicated to excellence is a waste of space and full of idiots. One called me up to come in so I trekked over hopeful and exciting for the false job she posted only to discover she just wanted to add me into her database... 3 months later a differrent person tried to call me in only to hang up on me when I told her who I met with last. I have worked with Leslie/Mark for years. She is great. She definitely does all she can to get you a job and keep you working in the interim while looking for permanent work. I would definitely recommend them. They work hard, are resourceful and personable.

This company does its best to place you in a job that will benifit both you and the company. None of that "fish out of the water" feelings. I was very impressed with them and I will reccomend them to my friends and family.

I would have done better if I had just thrown my resume out of a car window. I could have begged on the subway and gotten better results. They have no idea what they are doing, they make promises they can't keep, and they are unprofessional.

The staff at Leslie Silver and Associates are wonderful! They really want to place you at a place where you will be happy and succeed!
