    I would just like to share that my experience with Dr. Leighton was more than satisfactory. He takes his time with his patients and I would guess his policies have more to do with the fact that he actually cares about his patients than money. He was able to diagnose that I had been over prescribed with my previous lenses. This made such a difference for my vision. That alone would have been enough but he also made it a point to say if I had any problems at all to please call him regardless of the day or time. His policy is to care for his patients as quickly as possible so that small problems do not have a chance to grow into bigger ones. At the time I found it refreshing to have a medical professional care so much but when I had an ocular migraine several weeks later and did not know what was happening to my sight I was relieved to be able to pick up the phone and immediately call Dr Leighton.     Dr. Leighton either has ego and control issues that are not sensitive to the patient, or is only interested in padding his pocketbook. I scheduled an appointment the week prior to my visit, and let the desk staff know exactly what I wanted an appointment for. Before I go on, I should state that the desk staff and the technicians are all very kind, courteous, and helpful. However, Dr. Leighton should instruct them to inform would-be patients of his unconventional rules before letting them make an appointment and wasting their time. I needed a new contact lens exam and prescription. Upon arriving for my exam I filled out the paperwork and explained again, not only to the desk staff, but also the technician, that I was only interested in a contact lens examination and prescription. So far, so good. When I finally met with Dr. Leighton he asked if I wore glasses. I do not, and told him so. I have not had the need, and have worn contacts alone without issue for the past 15 years.
