Wed Sep 24 2008One of the better albums from LZ. Although Whole Lotta Love is the most over-played song in rock history.

Mon Oct 16 2006What a tuneless album. This is basically music for meatheads.

Thu Jun 08 2006BlackCat , you are the one!!!!Yes this band sucks BIG TIME!!!!

Sat Jun 03 2006Led Zeppelin II??? An appropriately unimaginative title for a dull and predictable waste of studio time.

Tue Mar 21 2006all you who said that this cd is overrated.... i pity you and your lack of intelligence. Page is and will always be the greatest guitarist to ever plug in. how can you say its not original... name one band that sounds anything like Led Zep to come out before 1970. Most influential rock and roll band ever... hands down.

Mon Feb 20 2006A useless piece of trash. Page's solo on Heartbreaker is juvenile and pathetic. It remains a mystery why people were sucked in by this bunch of no talent clowns.

Mon Jan 16 2006This is really unsophisticated stuff that appeals only to a select audience of unenlightened plebs.

Fri Nov 18 2005One terrific album. . .great riffs, terrific songs, a must-own for any classic rock collection. . .it captures Zep right before they hit their embarrassing gaudy mid-to-late-70's phase. . .

Fri Nov 18 2005If it's from zep it's great. All their music is great. Led Zeppelin II is no different. Whole Lotta Love, What is and what should never be, and the Lemon Song are Great. But their is not a weak track on here

Fri Nov 04 2005More unoriginal bull dust. It's a miracle they were never sued for infringing copyright!!!

Wed Oct 05 2005this album is so good and good is not even the right word for it. It is a very fun album full of raw energy. Not as raw as the 1st album, but not as technical as later ones. This album has almost a live feel to it. Every song on it is a hit and to this day plays well. Whoever said it is overrated...WTF. Whole lotta Love is on this. Moby Dick...What is and what should never be... And yes, JPJ is talented. his basslines in Ramble One and The lemon Song are great. This album is a classic. Could never be overrated. It is right where it should be...perfection.

Mon Jun 06 2005what most people don't know is that John Paul Jones was the only one in the band who actually had talent.

Wed Oct 16 2002A classic album with a track that was Led Zeppelin's highest charted single (Whole Lotta Love, #4 in Oct. '69). This album also conveys several moods which are raunchy (Lemon Song), moody (Thank You), and carefree (Bring It On Home), at least that's my opinion

Fri Feb 15 2002I wish this thing went higher than 5!! Zeppelin is the greatest band that was and will ever be!!! This album is by far my favorite album, but not their best. I believe ZepIV is their most solid work, but I can't help buy favor this one. There is a bit of everything on this album. There is less blues on this album than the first, but you have a variety...blues, rock, mellow...it's all there. My favorite song on the album is Heartbreaker. Then probably Ramble on. My boyfriend and I, we made Thank You our song. That is so beatiful. He wrote that for Maureen (IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN FOR ME THOUGH!). This is a great CD, if you don't have, well, you aren't much of a Zeppelin fan.

Wed Feb 06 2002Zepplin's best album wise. 'Whole Lotta Love' 'What Is and What Shoul Nveer Be' 'Lemon Song' 'Ramble On' It's just great tunes o listen to. You gotta love that.

Mon Oct 15 2001A few years ago I would've said this album is better than the fourth, just cause the fourth is so popular. but I agree with medgar evers, since I've been such a big fan, I've not only played the hell out of these albums, but I've also grown up a bit since I got into them. There are some appreciable songs like Moby Dick, LLM and Ramble On. But most of the album sounds too much like the 70s-rock&roll cliche and it's the reason why people underrate them. So now I'd have to say that the fourth album is definitely their strongest. But I'd also recommend the first album, it really encompasses their thick, dark and unique sound and their improvisation skills.

Tue Sep 04 2001When I first listened to this last summer, I would have told you it was the greatest thing I'd ever heard. Now I know how wrong I was. I'm sick of "Whole Lotta Love," "What Is and Never Should Be," is pretty good, "Thank You" is very shallow yet entertaining, "Heartbreaker" is good. When I buy an album, I find that the songs that don't grab me at first often turn out to be the best on the record. In this case, the only songs that I didn't really like were "Lemon Song" and "Living Loving Maid." And as it turns out, the lemon song is just lousy and does that mean that "Living Loving Maid" is the only good song on here? (they usually play it as "heartbreaker"/"living loving maid" on the radio, so I guess it means that both are good, plus "Moby Dick" is a good track). This does have some good material, however, and I guess in some ways it's arguably better than some of the stuff I gave five stars. But you're probably better off with "Physical Graffiti" or "Led Zeppelin IV"

Fri Jul 27 2001Like vol 4 zep 2 is much more than one track.WLLove shows just what Jimmy is about as an innovator on guitar and producer. Listen on headphones to get what the band was really about, listen to that rhythm section, the beatles and stones run a poor second to this band. Robert turned rock into sex rock on this album. The playing is sublime throughout, Jones's bass is so intricate and Bonzo wasn't just a thrash merchant, he could be so subtle and gentle. My only critisism is that the sound mix is too low.I love this album.Ilove this band but they were never afraid to challenge their fans with the changes in direction. Its part of what makes them timeless.

Wed Jan 10 2001Plant and Page deserve to archived as two of the greatest songwriters of all time. I own the box set and although II holds many of the songs I love, III is the compilation of all time. Alone, this album rocks, but for the beginning Led Zeppelin fan pick I or III.

Wed Jan 10 2001This album rocks! You gotta listen to it all the way through. Whole Lotta Love is off the wall and they came with their own stuff, classic blues sound, ohhh, wow. Basic hardcore classic Zeppelin.

Mon Dec 18 2000This is one of the greatest CDs ever. It has hits like Dazed and Confused. It also has some great acoustic solos.

Mon Nov 13 2000Another good classic rock album. This music will stay forever. Mix of hardcore rock and slow rock. I was not a Led Zeppelin fan, but became one by listening to "Stairway to Heaven."

Fri Oct 06 2000Zeppelin is by far some of the greatest musicians to bring sparkle/fame to the table. In LZII they seem to have returned to mainstream popularity with way to much electric- not enough vocals and almost no worthy lyrics.

Fri Aug 18 2000I love it. I think that Led Zepplin is so talented and I really like most all of there albums but as far as II goes, it is one of my favorites.
