I had my boyfriend's surprise bday there this past Saturday & everything went according to plan. Great food, drinks & the service was perfect along w/ the staff. They are very accommodating in terms of planning your event w/ you & making sure all goes well. I was able to drop off the birthday cake the night before the party---very helpful! I would definately recommend Latitude if you are planning a birthday or any event or even just to hangout w/ friends. :)

Latitude is a great place for couples, friends, or co-workers. Anyone will enjoy the good music and the friendly atmosphere. Whether you are there to watch the game or listening to good music with drinks, Latitude is the place to be. Make sure to go early to get seats at the bar, it gets packed quick.

I had my Birthday there and the people was great - bartender was very nice. The food was delicious Cons - there were 2 or 3 people who were having something that same day and I thought - the upstairs was just for us but no - its was still ok -- besides the other people who were there - other people was coming upstairs too shooting pool and everything. If you want to have something there make sure you asked VERY DETAILED questions.

Went to Latitude on Thursday night had a great time. I like how the windows from top to bottom are wide open gving you an open airy feel. Have been coming here a long time and like the happy hour, food and staff. But have been waiting too long for the roof deck. Tell us the truth. Is there really a roof deck on top of this building. Other than that always have a good time and enjoy myself.

I had attended a get-together this past weeked, and since I've never been to Latitude, I was impressed with the layout, as well as service. Everyone I've interacted with (from being greeted (quite nicely) by the bouncer, to the waitress, and the bartender), everyone was extremely nice -- nothing forced or fake. It was nice to come into a place where you feel relaxed being there and are having a good time. I have nothing but good things to say about this venue. I will recommend it to my friends from now on.

I had heard great things about this place from my coworkers, and thought that I should give it a shot. To tell you the truth, I had pretty high expectations going in, but when I arrived they were all met! The food is phenomenal! I can't get the nachos or the sliders out of my mind. I've now gone back multiple times, and I am now the one telling my friends they've got to check it out!

I have been going to Latitude for years now, and thought I should finally post a review. I was so thrilled when they opened back up for lunch! My coworkers and I run out and grab a bite and a glass of wine during lunch and it is the best. They have a stellar wine list not usually seen at sporty bars/restaurants like this. They also have these great lunch specials. My favorite is the Steak Tacos--highly recommended!

me and 3 girlfriends went there on a weeknight, way after happy hour. the bar was barely crowded and the female bartender walked past us over 10 times. she didnt even want to acknowledge us, let alone serve us. she definitely saw us standing there waiting, there were still seats available at the bar. we got fed up with being ignored and left. we figured we'd spend our money at a place with better service.

Happened upon this bar one lovely weekday night. It is a quite strikingly beautiful space, to me at least. I love how it's decorated, the layout, the bar itself. It was not too crowded, which I love, because you can actually talk to the people/person you came with. Saw some folks who looked like they came from work, basically it was a mellow scene. Sophisticated bar and crowd. Can't wait to check it out on a weekend.

I go there once a week and usually on Friday after work. They have $4.5 martini and $3.5 margaritta for happy hour. Their buffalo wings and fries are great. But the service could be better.

Working in the area, I stop into Latitude once or twice a week. With prices going up everywhere, they still manage to give fantastic happy hour specials. I convinced a friend to have her birthday party there last week and everything was great! The food was delicious, especially the ahi tuna wrap... and the drinks were tasty, as usual. I think women getting drinks tend to get snubbed by female bartenders, but the ladies behind the bar here are amazing. The entire staff is fun and energetic and make the experience that much better. I can't say enough good things about the place. Coming here often, I've seen the staff deal with "challenging guests" in a professional and sensitive manner, time and time again. I'm just happy to have Latitude so close to work because at the end of a long day, attitude and watered down drinks is not something I want to deal with.

Went with a group of four co-workers for happy hour. Walked in and the place seemed nice enough -- a good crowd of people but not too crowded. They had a few empty tables that were reserved for later on, but were nice enough to let us sit at one for an hour before the reservation. We ordered mojitos and a cosmopolitan. The mojitos were terrible. Couldn't taste the rum (and I don't even like my drinks strong at all). They were just sugar water, and the table sugar wasn't even dissolved -- it just stayed at the bottom of the glass!! We returned the second mojito we ordered and asked for another, only to receive the exact same kind of drink! Returned that one for a cosmo, and it tasted fine. The calamari and fries we had for apps were good. Service was slow, the waitress was fine, but not too friendly, especially after we returned the drinks. It's so close to where we work, but I don't think we'll ever go back.

I could OMG this place to death. They played some awesome old school hip hop, underground best dance music mix I've heard in a looong time, and I live in l.a and enjoy the hollywood scene out here. Long wait time for service, it was busy, obviously a weekend night. Overall it was fabulous. Good looking men & women. Friendly people everywhere, or maybe I was just tanked? Oh well, have at it. Hells Kitchen great scene.

We go to Latitude a lot, especially for happy hour. Never had a problem here, do not fall for the "fake" one time "reviewers' " reviews (spell check??) I know a lot about food and drink also and this is an average place. The only negative thing about it is I can say is it would be better if they "cleaned" it up a little and changed the lighting. It also has an upstairs with a few rooms that host parties too. The foods that I tried that are very good here, and it is NOT bar grub food are: spring rolls, french fries; they are crisp and hot!! and the wraps, especially the salmon and tuna roll, everything is fresh too. The bartenders are very nice and so is the bouncer, they are always respectful and we talk to them all the time. Again, we never had a problem here, never saw a problem and have been coming here for a year and a half. Mind you its not the Plaza, that is why it is a bar, just a place to hang.

I celebrated my birthday here afterwork. I reserved a section, and everything was ready when I arrived. Loved the appetizers, but the drinks could have been better. People there seemed to have a good time, but I didn't like the music. They don't play any hip hop, top 40, or 80s. I guess is a good place minus the music. I wish these reviews included what kind of music these places play because my group of friends felt kind of bored there.

I've been here a few times, and I really like the location of this place. The bartenders are nice, and seem to be on target with drinks. They get crazy busy, that at times it is hard to get a drink, but then again, it is Times Square, and what do you expect? I enjoy the atmosphere, the crowd, and location - it's a place where you can unwind and relax.

I used to frequent Latitude very often, even hosting several parties there of 50+ people. It is a very nice place and convenient since my office is very close by, my colleagues and I would always have a good time. Notwithstanding the past few times that I have been there I have witnessed a complete and utter deterioration of all-around quality and I have only one question? What happened to this place? The DJ?s are horrendous, the service is non-existent, uncooperative, slow and seems to think or be under the impression that the customers should serve themselves rather having them offer their services (isn?t this why they are there??hello?) I may or may not go back to Latitude but have been appalled by the continued cycle of poor service, lack of common sense and the dumbfounded staff. Who is running this place? Is ownership trying to close this place down? My last time there I asked the bartender why such the difference in the past few months and the bartender responded that there... Read more

I work 2 blocks away and I frequent Latitude every thursday after work. There are tons of bars in the area and my friends and I always seem to find ourselves here. They have a great happy hour and a good crowd. The age group is very diverse ranging from young professionals to people in their late 30's. The staff is friendly, the bar food is pretty good and I've found that the drinks are strong. My friends and I recommend the French Kiss Martini. You'll hear music at this place from your past that you wont hear anywhere else, and it's a good thing. I def recommend giving this place a try after work if you haven't already.

Great Happy hour spot - Good drinks and good service - See a lot of different types of people which makes for interesting conversations and creates a great "meeting spot" atmosphere. Buy a girl a "French Kiss Martini" - see how long she will talk to you before she realizes your personality lacks.

I work in the area and there are so many different bars to go to, but I ALWAYS go to Latitude-especially for Happy Hour. The music is fun and they play some 80's mixed with popular music. The door guy is so nice and always remembers me and my friends when we go. They make my favorite drink in NYC, its called a French Kiss Martini. This is a martini dream. (It's Pink and I even have my boyfriend drinking them now) It gets pretty crowded on Thursday nights so seating is sometimes hard, so recently we have been calling in advance to reserve a table (which they dont charge to do).

We just threw a surprise party for my brother-in-law at your venue - and thank you doesn't do justice. The staff was friendly, courteous, prompt, efficient - to name a few. From planning with Sarah, to Tom (the night manager), Bahola (the bartender) and the other help Fabian and the others (Sorry, can't remember their names)- everyone was just great. Additionally - the location is ideal - and the room setup is perfect for any party. Thanks again for everything. We would definately recommend to others.

Because of Citysearch comments about reservations, I called the day before to ask for a table. "Our events coordinator will call you back before noon tomorrow," was the reply. Yeah right. When we got there at 9:30, we saw a ton of available tables upstairs. We figured they held a table and didn't call back to confirm. We figured wrong. "Sorry," said the maitre d', "we're closing the upstairs. " Still, the staff managed to find us a booth downstairs and it was uphill from there. The waitress was friendly and really on the spot. The other customers were up and ready to mix. The music was NOT too loud. The food was okay, if not spectacular. All-in-all it was a fun night. Just don't bother with reservations. --Drink Club is a roving group of NYC drinkers

I decided to throw my 25th Birthday party at Latitude last friday. It was kinda last minute thing and teh crew was extremely helpful. My party of around 40 people had our own tables right next to the fire place and the bar, 2 booths reserved for my party and an absoultely sweethert waitress by the name of Stephanie. We were there from 630 till like 1AM and the party kept on getting bigger and bigger. Stephanie and the rest of the crew( including the bouncer who took our pictures) were great. She made sure that all my guests were satisfied and happy with her service. I had an absolutely AMAZINg time there and totally recommed this place. AWESOME.

If you ever are looking to throw a party or just have a fun place to go for some drinks, you should definitely check out Latitude. I threw a joint Birthday party and used the 3rd floor. The day manager (Sarah) is the definition of excellent customer service going far above and beyond. She worked with us for a month for this party always calling and responding immediately to our emails and helping us with anything. We were on the 3rd floor and had a BLAST. The bar is amazing and has different rooms. Some of our guests grabbed a drink on the 2nd floor then came up to our party. Everyone loved this place and I have been getting calls/texts all day saying how much they loved the party and bar. The staff was also AMAZING. The night manager (Tom) walked around and checked on us to make sure the party was going well (even told us he would turn the AC up when it got warm without us even asking!). The bouncers were great keeping our (rowdy) guests under control and the 2 bartenders and ba... Read more

After driving around for twenty minutes looking for parking and walking several blocks, we were in. The bouncer asked us for the usual (our ID's) but when it was our turn to ask questions, we were ignored. The answer to our question was "The party is upstairs"...we asked a yes/no question but he was too busy chatting with friends. Once upstairs, the bouncer there made us line up with our money in hand. I explained that I was the designated driver but this didn't matter-I was expected to drink $45 worth of alcohol apparently. The bartenders were the only ones who seemed to be doing a good job-it never took my fiance more than 5 mins to come back with a drink. The music was generic-think Z100 meets WPLJ. The third floor has a balcony but don't expect to make use of it-when my friend went out there to take a call from his brother, a soldier in Iraq, the bouncer rudely interrupted and said: "can't you read?"-there was a sign that appeared to be written in pencil on the door forbidding en... I rented out the third floor of Latitude for a Halloween party. The space was great, it has it's own bar, plenty of tables & couches, and three bathrooms. The Management and door staff were very accommodating and made sure we had a great time. The drinks & music were pretty good. My younger sister had her 21st birthday party here in the 3rd floor lounge. She had about 75 people and it easily could've held another 20-30 people. It is a perfect spot if you want to do something private because the stairs lead straight up from the entrance and it is separated from the rest of the place. The people working there were very helpful and attentive. Everything went surprisingly smooth and it wasn't stressful at all. Would definitely recommend it for a private party, not something where people float in and out of "your spot". So if you're a bunch of guys this would not be a fit I don't think. again great service, very impressed. Thanks go out to Rob and Steve.

Their promoter should really spend more time looking after the operations of this hole than writing all the glowing pretend reviews about imaginary birthday and office parties that never took place. As a real reviewer who really went here (for a real--and really bad--birthday party), I can honestly tell you that the vibe was awful, the drinks were weak, and the bartenders over-charged me--and then quickly snapped up my change as if it was a tip (a $16 tip on a $24 round? I'm generous but not that generous, toots). When I tried to get her attention again, she ignored me (surprise). Whatever. And the DJ, like the crowd, was awful. This review will prob get taken down shortly, like the other negative reviews of Latitude, which is a shame. Because it speaks not just to the lack of integrity on the part of the establishment, but also to CitySearch's ever-decreasing credibility. If Latitude simply ran a better bar, they wouldn't have to spend all day faking their own reviews. It's a... Read more

I called the event planner to book an open bar party for my Birthday. I've been here a few times and knew they had a 2nd floor - but to my surprise she put me on the 3rd floor! Great space that I did not even know existed. It's pretty loungy and also has it's own bar. My open bar deal was also really hassle-free. We just paid at the door....which is pretty cool because i didn't have to collect any money. And can I just say that our bartender (i think his name was Jim or TIm) was super-hot! That's ALWAYS a plus. :-). Oh yeah, the guy at the door who gave us the bracelets was super-cute. Most bars in nyc only have pretty girls so it was refreshing to have some great looking guys. Nice touch!

I can't say enough about how wonderful my event at Latitude was. Our group was extremely well taken care of. The upstairs space was perfect and the food and drinks were fantastic. I especially want to mention what an outstanding job our waitress did serving our party. Her ability to manage our group so well was fantastic, and we had a blast with her! I can't say enough about how dreadful my event at Latitude was. Our group was treated like cattle. The upstairs space was loud and uncomfortable, and the drinks were totally overpriced and weak. I especially want to mention what an outstanding job of misleading us they did. Their ability to make a lame space and lame location even more lame was fantastic, and we all wanted to shoot ourselves after about 10 minutes in there! Hurray! It was bad bad bad. We will definitely NOT keep Latitude in mind for future Networking events--or birthday parties or office parties or any other event involving anything other than having a really bad time.

I had such a great first experience at Latitude I just had to write a review. I showed up with about 30 people during happy hour. It was very busy and I did not event think about making a reservation. So the bouncer at the door told me that most of the areas were booked for parties but he would do his best to accommodate our group. He grabbed a waitress to help us out who immediately walked our group over to a place to hang out. THEN the manager came over and welcomed us and gave us the event planner's business card and told us to make a reservation next time (which i definitely will b/c they were busy). The entire staff - from the bouncer, waitresses, and manager were so friendly. I also must mention that the food was great and came out really quickly. Great Place all around!

I organized two events at Latitude within recent months and both were amazing successes. I have also frequented latitude afterwork with friends for drinks and snacks. I've had many a happy evening at this venue and walk or take the bus all the way from my office on 5th and 32nd, to go to the corner of 48th and 8th. My event was a tremendous success. More people showed up than I?d ever imagined. I had all sorts of people come, from various clubs and sports teams, to varios majors, and various ethnic groups and cliques. It was awesome! The staff was uber friendly and helpful. We worked with Latitude for 3 months to setup a private party (fundraiser). They (Sarah & Mike) were very eager to work with us and were very receptive and helpful. The venue is VERY nice, as far as asthetics. We were on the third floor, and we were able to fit 130 people and a DJ. The bartenders and service was excellent. The floor was very well kept, and in excellent condition. The management was very accomodating (we had needed an extension cord for the DJ and they lent us one). Their AV system is Great and very accomodating. We were able to play our very DVD on our floor's 3 LCD flat panels TVs, and it was fairly easy to set the DJ up. The bartenders and bar backs were very helpful with our requests, i.e. dimming the lights, allowing us to use the microphone, etc. The food is great, and I mean GREAT! I'm not really into clubs but do enjoy a nice upscale loungy area. And it's difficult to find that in NYC - either the staff is snobby or the drinks are too expensive. I found Latitude on the internet and decided to try it out. It exceeded my expectations as far as service and drinks/food. It wasn't snobby or "foo-foo" like other lounges. Music was pretty good too. I will definiately be back - really enjoyed the vibe here.

I always keep coming back to this bar (I must be there atleast 3/week)! Their food is great, the drinks are amazing, can be somewhat on the heavy side at times, but still good, the DJ plays awesome tunes, and the staff - how gracious are they?! It gets quite busy during happy hour, but I still enjoy the vibe, and the ambiance. What I like most about it is its' laid-back, no cover, and no velvet rope approach, unlike other bars in the area.
