Sun Oct 18 2009Really one of the best doctors (not just dentist) appointments I have had in a long time. In and out quickly. Some areas of concern in my choppers, but nothing that the Dr. said she thinks is of immediate need of attention. Super bedside manner. Will most definitely go back to Dr. Zorro. Two big thumbs up!

Sun Oct 04 2009I chose Lane based on the positive reviews here and the fact that it is close to my workplace. I admit that I took a bit of a chance with an unknown. My old denstist retired and I so I was a bit blind as to who to see. Anyway, I did a walk in (FYI--did not go at lunch so I cant say how the crowd is then) and even though there we other patients in the office I waited only about 20 mins to be seen by the doctor. I had a loose filling fixed and I was out or there within an hour. Copayment done and I was back at work. Doctor Zorro was great (pretty, too) and I will go back there if I need to see a dentist in the future. Convenient, quick and pleasant (not what you usually hear about any docotr or dentist appt). Thanks to the other reviewers -- you gave me a good one here.

Sun Oct 04 2009Really pleased with the visit. She told me what was required and what was a wait and see case (did not fill every nook and cranny). Well trained and PAINLESS (I cannot take novocaine and she drilled without making my jaw feel like I had electricity running through it). I saw the other post saying she was UNC trained. I have always had the best work done by UNC grads (GO TARHEELS!). Love the name -- how many times can you say you got drilled by Zorro and lived to tell the tale? (Apologies, but I could not resist...)

Sat Oct 03 2009Brought my two oldest to Lane and Assocs. for a check up and (I thought) a cavity filling. Not an easy start before we got to the office (try getting two kids to agree to a dentist appointment at the SAME TIME with the other two small ones in tow!). Anyway, while my kids might be a handful, they really took to the doctor at the office. A little coaxing and smiling by the doctor went a long way -- great bedside manner for someone like me who can use another pair of kind hands to get the kids to settle down. The doctor was great -- she was quick (a blessing) and all went smoothly. What we thought was a cavity turned out to be not a big worry -- Dr. Zorro suggested just a bit better brushing (good luck!) and all should be OK. Another dentist I saw before Zorro wanted to drill TWO TEETH! Dr. Zorro sent us away with new dental floss (the KEY!), new brushes, and a bunch of $$ savings in my pocket. I won't name names, but steer clear of that "other" family practice (with the radio ads... Read more

Sat Oct 03 2009I am really surprised by y'alls negative comments. I had just the opposite experience recently with Dr. Zorro. The care I had was quick (I had a bit of an emergency and a time crunch to get my tooth fixed), and the work was great in my book. I broke of a piece of an old filling and had it repaired (also got rid of the old silver for a white filling to math the tooth). I thought Dr. Zorro was great. She was trained at UNC which is my gold standard and she took the time to explain what she was going to do and why. I understood exactly what the procedure was and thought her care was very even handed (and she even filled a side cavity in the next tooth as a freebie). As a person who really cares about her teeth, I would say that my experience was tops and I would (and did) recommend Dr. Zorro to a friend. Sorry y'all had a bad experience. Mine was very different...

Thu Feb 19 2009I went to this office on Wake Forest Rd. in Raleigh right before I moved. On my second visit I had x-rays taken and was told I had 6 cavities. I was a little apprehensive about what I was being told because I haven't had cavities since I was a kid. I went to a new dentist in TX were I moved to and had new x-rays taken and was told that I didn't have any cavities. I am so thankful that I didn't allow Lane and Associates do any more dental work because they were totally trying to rip me off. Also, the staff there are so rude! Beware of this dental office!

Sun Dec 14 2008I have been going to the location on Wake Forest road for quite some time. For about the first year and a half I had a consistent dental hygeinest and dentist. Everything was fantastic....and then the dentist I was seeing left the office to pursue their own practice elsewhere. That should have been the red flag! Ever since then, I have had 3 different hygeinists and 4 different dentists. I kept giving them the benefit of the doubt and thought it would turn around again and all would be good. Quiet the opposite! The staff has gotten to be rude, not caring about the patients and just seem to be there to hang out. I will not even go into the office staff...I think the other reviews here are quite enough to explain that situation! I will not ever step foot in that office again nor do I recommend this office to anyone. Please take the time to look else where....you would be disappointed at this location.

Mon Sep 15 2008The doctors are o.k. at Lane & Associates but the Office Staff is horrible. They are rude and seem to get an attitude when you ask them questions about insurance issues. That's their job! If they don't like it, they need to find another line of work. Customer Service is horrible!!

Sun May 25 2008I took my child to Lane and Associates on Wake Forest Rd. for an emergency visit. I saw Dr. Zorro who we'd never seen before. She was so kind and careful with my little girl that I was amazed. The whole staff was very pleasant and conscerned for me and my child. Dr. Zorro was kind, friendly and caring. Our family will never use another Dentist.

Mon Apr 28 2008Not sure why Dr. Zorro is still practicing dentistry. I too had a horrible experience recently with a filling she supposedly placed. I had severe pain for over two weeks after my visit and upon return visit with her she told me everything looked good. I then got a second opinion and the dentist told me I needed a root canal b/c of the filling was so deep. The second dentist looked at the xrays Dr. Zorro took before working on my tooth and said that the cavity was very small, I believe he called it insidious or incipient lesion. At any rate he said that it should have only required a very small filling. I am currently filing a complaint with the Dental board. Take my advice, DON'T let Dr. Zorro work on you. She can't even speak English!

Fri Mar 07 2008After visiting Dr. Lane and Associates, I was extremely dissatisfied with my dental care. I had been there several times in the past without problems, but recently I had a horrible experience with a newer dentist there named Dr. Franco Zorro. She was arrogant, rude, and even had the audacity to ask me if I made enough money to pay for my services. I couldn't believe it! I know dental care is expensive, but I can afford it! Then to top it off, the fillings she did place, fell out a week later! When I called to ask about some kind of repair or refund, she refused to fix them and said it must have been my fault! Wow! I just want to warn anyone considering her as a dentist, she is worse than horrible!

Tue Mar 04 2008I was astonished to see the review. Our experience has been quite the opposite. We've found Dr. Zorro to be the sweetest, kindest more caring Doctor we've ever know. We will continue to call her our family's only Dentist. She has an excellant attitude and superior skills.

Mon Feb 11 2008Lansd & assoc - i just completed the most horrible dental exprience in that office under the hands of Dr. Zorro. I am still flabberglasted that she would act so unprofessionally. i will never go to the office again. Trying fo find ways to get to the AMA. She should be fired for interpersonal skills.
