This commentary is not about the quality of their as I am still waiting for the package to arrive. I received a shipment notification from Land's End and was unable to track it because the site STRANGELY DOES NOT PROVIDE A TRACKING NUMBER- it doesn't even tell you how it is sent or where it is coming from. After almost 2 weeks (after receiving the notification that they have packed and has shipped out my items) I called customer service to track it- there (btw-NOT THE FRIENDLIEST SERVICE) they had a tracking number and tracked it, they sent it via UPS then it was transferred to USPS for final delivery-So I asked why is it that I wasn't able to get a tracking off the website? The representative gave me some sort of distorted reason (I totally didnt get it)- then i asked if maybe she can email me (being that they have my email on file) the tracking number since it would be extremely LONG and my connection was bad... she flat out said NO- that's not something she can do... Hm.. how s... Read more

We bought a winter jacket for my daughter 2 years ago and it still fits. Unfortunately the zipper won't zip anymore. Lands End has their "Guaranteed. Period." policy so I called. The representative was very nice and they are shipping a new coat. And can you believe it, they are sending it in the next bigger size so I can get through this winter and next! Wow! You don't see customer service like that anymore! I am impressed!

I have bought almost nothing but Lands End clothing for my grandson ever since he outgrew the Carter sizes. The quality and the fit have been excellent until recently. The tee shirts are getting thinner and thinner. In fact he commented on the last short sleeved cotton tee I bought this week, "I like the color but it sure is thin." I agree and would suggest that you check what is coming out of Shri Lanka. If thin is a choice could you include a heavier choice. I know that Jordan was heavier and Vietnam gauge was heaviest . I have not washed the thinner shirt yet but I suspect the shape may be affected over time and longevity is an issue too. Also thank you for the great and continuing selection of solid and striped tees. They are hard to find. The printed shirts are not the most desirable. I know that many prefer to buy solids over prints but have no choice in many brands. Thanks from California

3 stars I have bought a lot from Lands End for my grandson because the quality was so good and the fit too. Once he grew out of Carter sizes this has been my choice and his.. However, the tee shirts are getting thinner and thinner and I am not happy about that. In fact my grandson commented on the last short sleeve solid color shirts I just bought this week. He said, " this shirt is so thin but I like the color". I think it would be wise to check the quality that is coming out of Shri Lanka. Jordan too.But I must thank you for having a great selection of shirts that are solid or striped. They are hard to find and you always have a great selection.

Regarding the Women's All Weather Moc, I've been wearing these shoes for so many years, I really can't remember when I purchased my first pair. They've always been my most comfortable shoe ever. In fact everyone in my office had a pair because we loved them so much. I'm writing this review because I believe Lands' End listens to customers and cares about how we respond to changes in their product. So don't mess with the Mocs! I will be returning the 2nd pair I've ordered in the past week. The first ones were so small I couldn't get my foot into the opening. My second pair, a half size larger, is still so tight I had to use a shoe horn to get it on my foot. My foot fits inside the shoe but the opening is so tight I feel like my ankle is being squeezed! So these are going back and I won't be ordering a 3rd pair. I'm so disappointed that they no longer work for me. Sign me Moc-less!

I am 54 years and and have been wearing Lands End merchandise for as long a I can remember. It has always been comforting to know I was buying quality. It appears that those days are gone. My last four orders were returned. Sweatshirts that fit like rags, jeans with cheap hard denim, casual shirts of poor quality material and irregular fit. Fortunately, Lands End customer service is still adequate and the no problem return via the local Sears store is convenient. I will miss the Lands End I once knew. I think I will explore LL Bean or spend more of my free time at the mall (YUK).

I have been a customer of Lands' End for nearly ten years. However my patience is running out after receiving inferior quality goods and several orders containing the wrong product in the past twelve months or so. Some products are still very good, notably their swimsuits and squall outerwear, but the quality of their fine gauge cotton, cashmere and some down clothing has deteriorated considerably over the years. The problem of sending wrong items seems to be getting much worse, and is particularly irritating since postage costs to Australia are high and the waiting time quite long. Clearly orders are not checked before being packaged and sent. Lands' End needs to get its act together and address this ongoing issue. I agree with a previous reviewer that the customer service staff (or rather, their employers) are reluctant to acknowledge or address problems in their system. Responses are always polite but often evasive. I have submitted three product reviews on their site recently. O... Read more

1 stars The lands end comfort waist jeans have been changed to a much narrower cut then in previous years and I don't like the fit at all. They should not have changed the cut. It is not my weight because I am still wearing the older jeans in one size and they are very comfortable and this year I can't get any to fit properly. Please Please go back to the original cuts. I rate them a 5 star!!

My company has started a uniform policy and Lands End is the vendor the shirts that were chosen for our uniforms fits ok. The Chino pants are horrible. I have ordered three different sizes the 10, 12 and 14 in petite I'm 4'11'' they are the Women's Petite Modern Curvy Boot Leg Pant. They are supposed to fit below my waist they all fit about 2 inches above my belly button, so when I sit down they are very uncomfortable. I usually wear Dockers or get my pants from New York & Co. in petite and they fit just fine but these Lands End Pants suck and they are made in China.

I bought one item from them a few years ago. They put me on their mailing list and refuse to stop sending me junk mail. I have called them 4 times about it already, but they won't stop, even though they promised to.

I've been a Lands' End customer for over 20 years, but the past several years have been very disappointed in the quality and fit of their pants. The "modern fit" chinos have a huge gap at the back of the waist, and the length shrunk like crazy. I also used to love their "First Person Singular" catalog, which offered womens' professional clothing along with helpful wardrobe suggestions. They seem to have forgotten all about professional women since they merged with Sears. I am now purchasing my work wardrobe from Talbots'.

The quality and workmanship on their clothing is nonexistant. You can order two pair of pants exactly alike and their will be as much as two inches difference in the length. The clothes are never cut the same size and their quality is so poor. Several years ago I bought two pair of their sport knit pants and I am still wearing them and they were made in San salvador. A few weeks ago I ordered two pair of the exact same pants that were made in Vietnam and when you put them one behind the other, you would swear they were at least two sizes different. Nothing is consistant and there is no quality inspection of their products anymore. When you opened a package a couple of years ago, a little tag with an inspection number was enclosed. No inspection tags now because no one inspects for quality. Sorry!

Clothing is not as decribed and they were caught "blacklisting" workers in El Salvador for even mentioning the formation of a union. Unfair pay and working conditions for people working for the company, and clothing went downhill in a hurry? I'm all set with Lands'd End.

I had never ordered or worn Land's End clothing before. I had a free ship code, so I thought I would try them out. The ordering experience was great and the clothing arrived packaged well and in great condition. I think Land's End clothing is pretty good quality. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase Land's End clothing. It is tailored and never goes out of style.

I used to be a Lands End customer. But after they made countless mistakes (addressing packages to the wrong name, inseaming pant's legs to different lengths, not sending receipts of what is ordered, no confirmation of what has been returned, incorrectly processing credits, etc.) I complained. They refunded a few of the costs but did NOT acknowlege their mistakes or investigate what went wrong. So, surprise, problems continued. After a few more complaints, they took drastic action. They fired me as a customer! It just goes to show that now that they are run by Sears, and many of their senior execs have left, they are NOT the company they once were. They are interested in their profits, and if THEY make mistakes, they don't make profit. So they simply focus on their customers that won't complain. LL Bean on the other hand has now become the recipient of even more of my business, a company that has always impressed me with their professionalism and their idea of what constitutes custo... I purchased a raincoat from them back in April online. I didn't really wear it, but it was a black micro fiber coat and for some reason it was hard to keep from looking linty even with the sticky rollers. I decided that since I had the receipt that I would exchange it for the tan colored coat in July. I was worried they would give me a hard time about the exchange because a few months had gone by. I was also worried that I had got a discount on the coat back in April online and the price went up, that they would try and charge me full price despite it just an exchange (yes that happened to me before at another retailer). Neither of those occurred however. It took a bit longer than I expected, maybe 3 weeks. But, the coat arrived and they didn't over charge or give me a hard time. I am very happy with their rain coats and the quality of their products. They are a stand up retailer (there's not a lot of those around anymore). The coat is just what I was looking for in a rain coat for the... Read more

Lands' End used to be my retailer of choice. Most of the clothes in my closet came from LE. They were high-quality, good fit, and nice, conservative styling. I have noticed a significant deterioration in the consistency of quality and durability since LE was acquired by Sears. I have LE shirts that I have had for more than a decade that look better than some I have acquired in the last 2-3 years. I am also disappointed in the styling. LE used to come out with some really cute tops; now they all look alike. It seems as if the creativity took a permanent holiday when Sears came into the picture. No surprise there if you've ever perused the "styles" offered by Sears. Ho-hum! (Yawn). One last troubling development is the lack of choice now in women's professional clothing. LE was offering some really great blazers, pants, and suits for professional women. Not any more. They are, again, generic styling, boring colors, and, incidentally, failing more and more to take into acco... Read more

Lands End has good quality clothes. However if you order something and it ends up on back order, CANCEL YOUR ORDER AND WAIT UNTIL ITS IN STOCK! Lands End charged me for a backordered item before they shipped it. When I called them on their behavior Lands End said " oh we got busy with alot of orders and it was days later before we shipped your item." Then why did they charge me since they didnt ship the item until a couple of days later??!! I think that is rude, unprofessional and I wont shop there again since they dont think they did anything wrong. There are other merchants out there who will treat their customers better than Lands End, especially in this economy!!

Land's end has really wonderful plus-size outdoors clothing, which I can very rarely find where I live. The styles are also practical designed and durable. I also like the "very preppy" styles (being a manager, I have to be a little conservative). The service is also cheerful and patient.

generic colors/styles at prices you would pay for good clothes.....why does it cost $25 for a plain shirt with nothing on it ...not even an alternate cut....just a generic shirt you buy anywhere else for waaaaay less.

I've ordered several pairs of Men's Cotton Pants through Landsend and found that all experienced excessive shrinkage. In all cases, the inseams shrunk more than 1 inch and on leg more than the other. I'm not tough on the clothing that I wear, always wash cold and dry in a cool dryer. Landsend shirts are ok though.

This is a close second to L L Bean for quality clothing and good service. They have even exchanged monogramed gifts without blinking an eye. My only complaint would be that there sizing varies a bit from garment to garment.

Land's End customer service gets 5 stars, no doubt about that. And the fact that they will hem or cuff men's pants to any length is great. But merchandise quality has delined over the last couple years. Just two weeks ago, I ordered my husband two pairs of pants and a pair of shoes. The pants both had the same stitching flaw. The shoes had no manufacturing flaw, but the sole was hard black plastic, but with tread. My husband slipped on nubby carpet while trying these shoes on. I decided that for safety's sake, we had to return these. The good news is, we could just take them to a Sears store to return. I hope to see Land's End return to its former level of quality.

There are a few things Lands Ends makes that I count on buying. After shipping and tax, their prices are a higher than in the past, though. But what bums me out the most is I got a Discover bonus gift card and now lands end doesn't think it's valid. I had to mail it back to them. It's hard to tell when and if I will be my order. I have to say they were better before the buy-out by Sears.

I recently got introduced to Lands End by my mom. It may be that I am getting older and I care more about clothes that are comfortable and functional than looking cute. It may be that I look for value and quality instead of style but Lands End has some really great stuff. They have great outdoors wear. I have a couple of fleeces and windbreakers from Lands End that are just great. They have some pretty stylish 3/4 length sleeved shirts from casual to dressy. There is one pair of cargo pants for women that I really want to get. It is reasonably priced too. It is a great place to get gifts for anyone from kids to grandparents. I am so excited about the new discovery.

Great quality! Lasts forever. The prices a little high, but the quality on their outerwear is worth it. I have 3 daughters and I am able to hand down their winter coats and snowsuits because they are durable (even in ND winters!) Wash it and it is brand new! Their customer service is awesome! and you can't beat their return policy.
