HELL ON EARTH. I have a Nigerian friend and i went with her and her family to Nigeria.She did warn me though about all the dangers in Nigeria.But i did not know much about Nigeria then.I was 15 then.She said Nigeria is so dangerous even she does not like going there.When i arrived we could only stay in house becuase we heard shootings outside.AND IT WAS THE MORNING!! She said sorry to me for inviting me.I told her It's my fault because i was the one who wanted to go. We are still friends.I met her.You see i am a Tourist guide here in Turkey.And she was a tourist.We just started talking. OK I get SO out of topic

Welcome to hell. Bugahane (reviewer below me) definitely has it spot on. No city in the US, Latin America, or even Asia is as bad as this. This place is one steaming, grimy, odorous pile of dilapidated buildings that is crowded beyond human comprehension. You will love Detroit or Flint or any Midwestern town to no end after spending 20 minutes here. Anyone who complains about the US or Europe should stay in this city for a day. It would change their minds forever about everything. People here are extremely arrogant, spiteful, and are plain criminals. Crime here makes South Africa look like Berlin. Women, especially ones who cant fit in should never come near this place for obvious reasons. Most Nigerians here will brag about themselves and their country. Pspht. They have great natural resources and were richer than South Korea 60 years ago yet they can only come this far?

OK, I'll admit I only spent a few hours there en route to Sokoto but came away with no great impression. One star flatters the place.

Crowded, noisy 24 hours a day, unbelievable crime, dirty, few people have cars but the traffic is horrendous, the heat and humidity are unreal, a true 3rd world hellhole. Be lucky we have the sewage systems in America, because they are non-existent here. If you like rats, you'll like Lagos. Unfortunately a sign of the future for our overpopulated world.

This is an interesting city you can't denied. The thing is that this is going to be the biggest city of the world in the future, says the statistic! Anyway, if unexpected things happened, it'll become at least the second largest, just behind Tokyo. I haven't been in Africa yet, unfortunately, and I haven't heard much about Lagos either, but if you'll ask me if I WANT to go there, you woun't find a "no" in my mouth! :-)
