L.A. Confidential (1997)

Dynamite picture and Basinger won a well-deserved Oscar for best supporting actress as 1940's sex bomb Veronica Lake look-alike. Various whores in the movie receive plastic surgery to look like celebrities. That is part of the plot. This is one of those grim, "the world is not a nice place" flicks about police corruption in LA in the 1950's. Check it out.
