Thu Oct 15 2009He did my wife's bridge. It had to be re-done. She went to him with pain, he said nothing was wrong! 24 hours later she was in an emergency office visit with another dentist clearly needing a root canal and it took the other dentist only 5 min. to figure that out! Also her crown on the bridge was poorly done. Also, I got a cleaning there and the assistant made me hurt very bad and bleed all over the place. I have never had that problem before or since with any cleaning. I have since met two other people personally who had BAD experiences with this "dentist". Stay away. Stay far away.

Mon Sep 21 2009LA Dental group is a "factory" with little or no personal care. Furthermore, the order of procedures is calculated to cost you more in the long run, not to mention in the short run, which is inexcusable. They are licensed as everyone else in the industry, yet they have found ways to charge far more than everyone else for inferior services. Buyer beware, "you get what you pay for," ...but in this case, I doubt it, seriously. After 2nd and 3rd opinions I am thourghly conviinced that my dental care left in the hands of LA dental group would have ended tragically for me. Dr. Ginzburg and Company have sunk to the lowest level of their profession .

Sun Aug 30 2009I had to have a root canal at this place and I must say this was the rudest group of scam artists I've ever seen in my life. The first dentist to do my root canal screwed it up sooooo bad that I had to come back for a second filing out of the canals! Mean while they have a sleaze ball walking around talking to people during their procedures trying to talk them in to services they don't need. Literally I'm having my tooth drilled open and some hairy slimy used care salesman was trying to sell me every dental "improvement" under the sun. I wanted to deck the SOB. Then when it was time for me to get my crown put in one of the dental assistants removed my temp crown with no Novocaine.... it was the WORST WHITE HOT PAIN I've ever had in my mouth. I swear I wanted to kick that woman dead in the face. Oh and if you're a person who likes to see your dentist and establish any kind of trust or report... give up on this place it's a rotating crew of newbie dental clowns, I never once saw ... Read more

Thu Jun 04 2009This was by far the worst experience I have ever had with a dental office. They used fear tactics to try to scare me into unnecessary procedures. Not only was I overcharged they added a crown and totally missed my cavity. I ended up getting a root canal, and drilling right through my expensive new crown. The staff was insistent, rude, and ignorant. I tried to take this up with my insurance company, but they were useless in helping me. The dental office kept refusing to release xrays to the insurance company. From now on, I will ALWAYS check reviews and only get work done through referrals.

Tue Sep 30 2008this was an awful experience. i would not recommend anyone here. i also had to go to another dentist and am so glad. i did get my teeth cleaned at dr ginzburgs but i regret it. the hygenist did not do a good job, she looked dirty, and hopefully did not use dirty instruments. i asked her if they were newly cleaned because i know she used a broken mirror to look at my teeth. weird awful experience. it had me worried what kind of diseases i could have got there. hopefully nothing. they should go out of practice.

Sun Jun 01 2008Ditto to the last review. I would never suggest that people don't have a right to run a successful business and to make a living but here's the deal with this place: they don't make money on the basic "a cleaning every six months" services payed for by my dental HMO so they don't really focus their efforts there. They make money by using subtle but nevertheless hard-sell tactics to get me to buy, with my own money, premium services that are not likely necessary. Thing is, that's inappropriate, in my opinion, as they are a health-care provider just like any doctor. If you want to make money by hard-selling people people to buy things they don't need, you should've gone into used car or insurance sales or telemarketing 'cause that's what this place feels like and it's creepy. I'm switching to a PPO as fast as I can and finding a new dentist. I'd rather pay more and be able to trust that what I'm getting is what I, the patient, need. Let the buyer beware.

Thu May 15 2008STAY AWAY! THIS OFFICE IS UNSCRUPULOUS AND A SCAM IN THE MAKING! I actually read the above review before going to this office, and should have heeded the warning. I DO have insurance. After waiting an hour to have X-rays taken, the dentist came in, poked around in my mouth and left. Moments later, the receptionist came in to reschedule ANOTHER, SEPARATE appointment for a simple cleaning. She said the hygienist was only available on Mondays. If that was made clear up front, I would have booked a Monday or not chosen that dentist at all. In addition, the cleaning the dentist recommended was more expensive than what was necessary (upon getting a second a second opinion). So I basically wasted two hours of my day and exposed myself to an unnecessary X-ray process. If you currently go to Ginzburg and like him, more power to you. But if you are looking for a new dentist, DO NOT BOTHER. And if you do go, make sure you understand all their tricks up front!

Mon Jan 14 2008I was charged very high, 8 times more than usual and was also suggested wrong treatment. I think this dentist cheats a lot. Others seem to have the same problem. I can't believe I was subjected to such mental trauma after getting treated by this dentist. Sub par service.

Tue Oct 09 2007Dishonest, fraudulent dental office! I didn't have insurance so I went there after getting a coupon in the mail for a $30 checkup and cleaning. That was a big mistake! I made an appointment, but still ended up waiting 1.5hours after they did the x-rays to see the dentist. The office manager then told me that the hygienist was only there one day a week, so that I would have my teeth cleaned when I came back for whatever dental work I needed. The dentist then told me that I had a cavity seen on x-ray which they would need to fill. I don?t know why they agreed to give me an appointment for a checkup and cleaning on a day that the hygienist is never there. I was skeptical, so I asked instead to get copies of my x-rays. They told me that I would have to pay $25 for them, which I agreed to, and that they would mail them to me. Two weeks later I called to find out where they were and found out the copies had never been made. Luckily the receptionist was very nice and made them right ... Read more
