Not quite sure WHY she felt she had to change her image to slutty. Guess she didn't feel confident enough in her singing ability.

Kylie Minogue was a cute gal. But her voice has to be drastically enhanced especially with electronic tuners to be palatable. It was VERY out-of-tune on her tv special "Live and Intimate" back 21 years ago. Ofcourse, she was 19 and I guess Australia was pulling for her as the star turned singer/dancer. Let's not forget however that her slightly younger sister Danni got Kylie her first real exposure and overall, I find Danni much more talented especially when doing rock and IS better looking. I still li\ke some of her bubble-gum songs (LUCKY and "Put your Hand on your Heart" are so freakin' CUTE!!)and you have toapprove the spectacle of her shows although Kyle X proved things can be so complicated something has to go wrong.(Like the audio track being so out of synch/her miming waaaaaay OFF at the intro..I noticed some of her smaller arena shows, she didn't come out in the flying ring aka Doctor Who's "Blind Controller" from the nu series 12 episode. "Speaker Phone" is catch-ier than... Read more

Right up there with ABBA and Ace of Base, Kylie Minogue is another favorite artist of mine, with a staggering number of great pop and dance songs that I enjoy. These range from the lively ode to life cover of "Celebration," to the wonderfully-sweet dance song "I Believe in You," to the fun "What Do I Have to Do."

I love Kylie. Even though her voice is not phenomenal, she knows how to package herself and is a great entertainer. She's cute, sexy, pretty to look at, and her songs are fun to listen to and have a great beat to them.

Am I being old fashioned or shouldn't people who are called singers actually be able to sing? Surely all the greased up thighs and bare boobs and buttocks in the world cannot make up for a good singing voice? There are some good acts out there - I am thinking Shania Twain for one - but Kylie, nice girl tho she may be, is no singer. In fact her songs are monotonous over-produced crap. If only she had stuck to acting .........

On the subject of ex Aussie soap stars turned pop princesses Natalie Imbruglia, Holly Vallance and Delta Goodrem are all younger, miles sexier, better looking and better singers than Minogue. She on the other hand has big teeth, a nasal voice and even her famous butt has been cosmetically enhanced.

Sexy new image can't hide the fact that as a singer, she still sucks--just like she did 20 years ago.

I really wish she had a voice. Nothing like singing in a monotone. She's a one hit wonder from the 80's, a soap show actress and I too wish this almost 40 year old would have left her career where it belonged, in the dumps.

She's got an amazing voice. It doesn't hurt that she's beautiful as well.

She has a cute voice and while her songs may sound overly repetitive, they're a lotta fun to dance to. I choreographed a jazz dance to Love At First Sight once, and the group that danced to it loved it.

Don't know a single song she's ever sang; but I do know: 1) She has a nice toosie; 2) My wife named our daughter after her (That's OK, I named my son after my favorite author, Ian Fleming).

Kylie perfectly typfies popular culture where style beats substance hands down very time. I dont get it. She's not especially good looking, sings in a squeaky nasal voice and doesnt even write her own material, shoddy and disposable as it is.

I'm still trying to figure out how this ugly, screechy-voiced singer became popular. I think she is horrible in the definite ranks of overrated, talentless stars with big boobs like Britney.

HER SONGS OVERALL ARE PRETTY GOOD . SHE ALWAYS COMES UP WITH FOOTAPPING SONGS. THOUGH I THINK SHE HAS MATURED AS A STAR AND LATER WORK LIKE"CANT GET YOU OUT OF MY HEAD" WAS BETTER THAN "LOCOMOTION"ETC.

Yeah, I know she's not the best singer or a supermodel but the girl knows how to work it. I define a talented artist by the concert they put on. Kylie's better live...she can hit all the note perfectly, wear hiphuggers, and dance for nearly 2hrs in stelethos (sp) and look like she's having a blast. That's an A+ in my book.

She calls herself australian? She's got the british accent and everything now. She turns her back on her home country and then when asked to perform a show acts like shes never turned her back. Her heads so far up herself and she has to use sex appeal to promote her music. What a loser!

She's an import from the 1980's that should have stayed there.

No way this woman is this high on the list. What a list. You can't even call her a musician or a song lyricist. She just sings to some very dry and stale techno beats. I'm guessing that anyone that gave her a five must have nio REAL musical taste.

She's getting two stars... and that's only for her happy-tappy 80'ties albums!!! Now she's boring and mainstream. She sells if not only then mainly because of her looks... which I must admit are pretty good!

no offense but she sucked back in 1988 and she sucks now--although she does kind of look like virgina madsen and that's ok. but her songs, like all new pop music, has no words. i still cant sit back and listen to random beats w/panting replacing lyrics...sad state of the music world run by madonna's j.ho's and kylie.

This may seem odd;giving 5 stars to someone with very limited musical talent and hardly the greatest singing voice, and whose music has to me seemed largely disposable. She's had many hits in Britain since her breakthrough in the late 80's on the back of the Australian soap Neighbours, yet i would be hard pressed to name more than a few and i readily admit to never having bought any of her singles or albums. Her career has had its shaky patches, but what a transformation recently! The girl next door has blossomed into this radiant,self-confident,sexy,petite star we in Britain can't seem to get enough of at the moment(she's plastered all over the front pages virually daily).I have to say,i'm as smitten as the rest. Her music seems to have improved and having a Welsh mum has done her no harm in my eyes, either.A work colleague's brother has met her a few times and apparently she's not one of the great egotists but still likeable.I hope that's the case and remains so.
