Tue Apr 13 2010I heard of Kossoris Search from my friend who was placed in a firm a year ago by Kossoris. She stated that I should send in my resume and book an interview and see what comes of it. I did what my friend suggested and in less than two weeks I was interviewing at firms. I am now placed at a big firm and love it. I am making more money than at my prior, smaller firm and am in a better working environment. Definitely would recommend

Mon Dec 28 2009Kossoris Search is an outstanding legal recruiting agency. I was extremely impressed by the firm’s high standards, diligence, and the level of personalized attention I received-- for the first time, I felt that I was not just another resume in the pile. Also, Amy really cares; she always took the time to explain and answer my questions, and her staff is very friendly, professional, and quick to follow-up. Moreover, Amy presented me with quality positions and helped me find a great job!!

Sun Dec 20 2009I have gotten temp jobs through this office numerous times. Every person that I have dealt with in the office has been highly professional and helpful, completely focused on assisting me in attaining the type of position I was looking for at the time. I recommend giving them a try if you are seeking temporary employment, or even if you are looking for temp to perm. They may be able to help. Just go to their website and check them out.

Sun Dec 20 2009When i first moved here, i was looking for a temp job while waiting for a new job to start. I had several weeks to kill before my job started. So i made an appointment with Kossoris and they placed me within a week. I have gotten several temp jobs over the month to last me until my permanent job starts. I would highly recommend calling them to make an appointment to see Amy. She has many connections and is hard working and makes things happen. Make sure and be on time. Her assistant is nice as well.

Sun Dec 20 2009For all you job seekers out there: try Kossoris. Great way to find a job. It's so fast and easy and you get employed in no time. Amy is a real life saver for someone like me who has been having trouble finding the right job. So get off the internet and call up Kossoris and meet with her! My only warning is that she has some punctuality issues... can't really blame her though, the traffic out there is god awful. I had to wait about 10 or 15 minutes for my meeting, but I am so glad I waited because the meeting was worth it. I'm recommending all my unemployed friends to her because she found me a job and was a pleasure to work with.

Sun Dec 20 2009This staffing firm was actually pretty good. They were the only one's who met with me and asked before sending my resume, and would follow up when asked. The other thing I liked was that even if you have less experience or are just getting started, they are still really willing to help you. A lot of other agencies won't even give you a glance if you have under three years experience. They are missing out on some quality novice candidates this way though. The lady I worked with really worked hard to find me a placement, given my good credentials but lack of experience. I really appreciated the effort put forth by her and her staff.

Sun Dec 20 2009I had a positive experience starting from my first visit, and Amy seemed to really like my resume. She contacted me back a couple days after our initial meeting and told me she had already found several firms to set up interviews for me. The great thing about Kossoris is that it's not impersonal. There are no automated machines or auto response email messages. You always speak with a real live person and there are several different ways to reach Amy, though she is a busy woman. I think many times experiences at placement agencies are hit or miss, but I am happy to say that my experience here was a definite hit. I didn't just get lucky with Kossoris though, because later on, my wife also found a great job through Amy, and our careers have never been at a better place.

Sun Dec 20 2009I am a fourth year attorney and was contacted by Amy regarding making the leap from my small, boutique firm to a large, global firm. She offered to hook me up with interviews with the partners at the firm and put in a lot of good words about me. To be honest, I didn't think she was being serious at first, or that she could really make this happen. I'd tried applying for jobs at big law firms when I first graduated law school, and got brushed aside by all. Maybe now that I have some experience under my belt and a pretty good track record, it was easier this time around. But I still couldn't have done it without Amy! What a miracle that she happened to reach out to me and make the offer to help. Now I'm happily settled in my new and improved larger office, at a larger firm, with a larger paycheck! Thanks a lot, Amy! -Dan

Sun Dec 20 2009Our firm has used Kossoris's services for years and never once have we been disappointed. We are a regional law firm with extra staffing needs in order to complete projects from time to time. As someone who has worked in HR for the past 10+ years, I know how tough it can be to sift through all the paperwork and find a really quality candidate. That's why we call upon Amy whenever our staffing needs become urgent or overwhelming, and she always pulls through for us in a nick of time. When we are wrapped up in a million other things, it is nice to have someone whom we can trust to take this off our hands. We can always trust Amy to find us the right person for the job, and she is great at screening candidates. We have even hired a few of the temps permanently because they worked out so well for us. We are definitely a loyal client of Kossoris and will be in the years to come.

Sun Dec 20 2009Kossoris Search helped me out during my layoff a while back (and no, they weren't paying me $12/hr, either!!), as well as placed me in what has turned out to be my dream job. Work with Amy & keep in contact, & let her work her magic..she really listens to what it is her client wants and is professional and diligent. She's also got super networking and knows just about everyone who is someone in the legal world. If you are looking for a job with a big law firm, chances are, she's got a contact there. I even went on interviews at smaller firms and was surprised at the range of her resources. Another thing was that she was respectful enough to ask my permission before sending my resume to firms. Don't take it for granted! A lot of recruiters don't do this, but Amy does! To me, that is good work ethic and morals, and shows that you can trust them to not spam out your resume to random places.

Sun Dec 20 2009I've gone through a LOT of recruiting staffing services in my 22 years as a paralegal, and I find most recruiters/recruiting services to have questionable work ethic. It's hard to find someone you can really rely upon and trust to keep your best interests in mind, but amazingly, that's what Amy does! She's different from most other recruiters I've met; for example, she always meets with her candidates personally before referring them to employers and has REAL conversations with them, rather than asking a bunch of stream-lined questions that the agency made up to "screen" candidates. She really knows how to connect to people and get right to the point - if you're right for the job, she'll know it, and if you're not, she has a million other resources on hand to find you another position in due time. Kossoris is a rare find in this huge city. If you're looking for a job, I highly recommend contacting Amy from Kossoris Search.

Sun Dec 20 2009I have temped with several different agencies in several different places over the years. Some were good, others just mediocre, and some were downright awful. The effectiveness of the placement really comes down to how that individual agency is run. Kossoris Search is one of the best legal search agencies I have experienced, and they rank pretty high on my list. The staff is always friendly, and Amy really takes into consideration what you are looking for in an assignment. She wants to get you placed as soon as she can, but also in an job that suits your qualifications and requirements. I went in and met with Amy and let her know what type of position I was looking for. She reviewed my resume and told me I have excellent credentials and references and expected to be able to find me a great position. Within a week, she was able to present several firms in downtown Los Angeles that were interested in speaking with me. From there, Amy gathered information about each firm and went ov... Read more

Sat Dec 19 2009Amy and the others at Kossoris Search found me a great job working for a big law firm. I'm making considerably more that my last job and love my new employer. Every time I called I was treated very well by staff. They were very responsive respectful. I have already referred a friend to them and he has already gone on his first job interview. Thanks, Rick

Tue Dec 01 2009I was at the Kossoris offices this week, and it was a really pleasant, interesting, and informative experience. The company represents Partners, Attorneys and Legal Staff -- and law firms of course. Recruiters in other words. I met with Amy (though I had to wait for a few minutes in the lobby). She is professional, bright, energetic, and most of all, very interesting and helpful to talk to. She had some very insightful comments and advise regarding my job search. She can help candidates understand what the companies and law firms are looking for when they hire. I actually was referred to her by a large law firm. I was laid off, and the partner I worked for went to school with her - and our firm uses her to find people for us. She really helped me a lot, and the meeting really picked me up! While I know that Amy can't magically 'create' a job for me, she's already started to help! Highly recommend!

Wed Aug 12 2009Run of the short is that I went to visit this firm not really knowing what a search firm does. I'm a 4yr attorney. Met w/ Amy for about 15 minutes. Really felt like she "got" what I was looking for, & really to my surprise, got me an interiview, in this market, at a great entertainment firm. So, from both sides, to really picking up on what the candidates are looking for, and finding a personality match for the firm partners (what they are looking for) - seemed to be dead on. Really enjoyable. Will also note, they were really nice compared to other recruiters I have spoken with. Amy's asst very helpful, very impressive offices.

Wed Jul 29 2009I am a 5th yr Corporate lawyer. Top Global Firm experience, but was out of work as a result of the economic downturn. I split my time between LA & New York. I found Amy's company (heard of) through a colleague & his recommendation. The short of it is, I am impressed! Amy was genuine and really struck me as a nice person in general. I really enjoyed speaking with her. She conducted a phone interview, as I was in New York at the time & flying back to LA in a week. Result was I landed some work with a partner she knows/knew my boss. I am now doing contract attorney work though her - some in the New York office of her client, some in the LA office.

Mon Jul 27 2009I am a partner at one of the top trial firms in the country. I call Amy any time I need help staffing my trials. It is not out of the ordinary for us to call KS needing 10-15+ attorneys right away - meaning a day or two - They deliver. They are quick, efficient, responsive. And most importantly, the talent we get from their search firm in particular is top level, A+, high level attorneys. We've used other search firms in conjunction (when we need more than 40+ attorneys. Interestingly, those that we keep the longest always seem to come from Amy. That says something about her/their skill in picking out the most talented attorneys - among 100's. High remarks!

Thu Jul 23 2009Interestingly spoke with KS (amy) about a National Firm looking to start offices in our city. Very interesting & informed company. There are one or two headhunters in our city - not a lot of energy. I really liked Amy's enthusiasm & energy - seemed to know a lot about the legal market in general. Confirmed through another partner that knows of them -reputation for being honest, straight forward - & reliable. Connected!

Tue Jul 14 2009Like this company a lot. Found them very informed, connected. Helped me obtain work I never would have found on my own & at a great firm. Beautiful offices, helpful staff -- they are Quick! Highly recc for Attorneys of all levels - Know they staff major litigation cases, doc reviews. Amy also places associates, partners and groups. No BS!

Tue Jul 14 2009I am the founder of a mid-size law firm in Northern California. I have worked with KS several times in the last 5 years. We hire associates through them (Amy), and she also keeps me updated on opportunities for partners with books of business in excess of $2-million + range. She is extremely helpful, informed, and personable. Provides top service. She has presented me wtih some fantastic opportunities. She is honest, loyal, and ethical. Clients range from local, regional, national, and global firms. Top caliber search firm.

Tue Jul 14 2009Company results were very impressive. I graduated from a top 20 law school & was- recently caught up in large firm downsizing - as a mid-level associate. Met with many recruiters in LA. A partner at my last firm who is very well respected knew Amy & suggested I speak with her. I was working within weeks after registering & meeting her. One thing I liked was that she stays late in order to accomodate people with day jobs. Found themgood at personality profiling & figuring out what law firms will match individual personalities. I'm really enjoying the firm I'm at. I found Amy really personable - especially compared to a lot of the other companies I've met. Granted this is all subjective and everyone has their own style, etc. Bottom line - All of the partners at my new job think very highly of the company (& Amy) - & think she's staffed about 1/2 the firm. ----

Mon Jul 06 2009Kossoris Search is a one stop shop for job openings. I think it's almost better than craigslist for those who are looking for jobs in the legal world. Not all law firms will post openings on places like monster and craigslist, but for some reason, Amy is always in the know when it comes to positions. After sending my resume and meeting with Amy, she pretty much took my job search off my hands and personally helped me find a position for free. That's the best part! you don't have to pay for this service! The only con i wld say is that Amy seems to be super busy and I had to wait about 15 min to meet with her. But I always believe that taht's how you can tell if a service is reputable - if there are a lot of people waiitng in line to see her! On the plus side, she's readily available by phone or email at pretty much any hour of the day, so you don't always have to meet in person.

Mon Jul 06 2009I've always been skeptical about search firms. Several of my friends from law school used to tell me these horror stories about bad experiences with legal recruiters. Unfortunately, tough times call for tough measures, so when I reached the 6 month unemployment mark, I decided to give it a shot. What's to lose, right? i was really surprised to find that this search firm is really people friendly, not like a lot of the ones you hear about where they put you through rounds of testing and all sorts of paperwork. I liked the personal touch that I got from working with Amy one on one. you can tell she's not just another headhunter in a big corporate recruiting engine, she does things her way and her way works. I Loved that it was a casual atmosphere around her yet it was professional and instructive. Now i'm saying goodbye to unemployment and hello to my long term career. Long story short, it's worth a shot to anyone that ever had any doubts.

Sun Jul 05 2009amy just placed me at a position in a law firm downtown! it was a temp to hire, and as of right now, i've been hired as a full time permanent employee. i'm ecstatic that amy could help me with my job search even in this downturned economy. anyone looking for a job should give kossoris a try!

Sun Jul 05 2009Amy is simply amazing... what more can I say? She helped me find a high paying job in a tough economy when no other recruiter would/could help me. She pulled some fast connections and got me placed right away. I'm going to refer all my law school friends who are looking for a job to her. Kossoris Search is awesome!! Two thumbs up!

Sun Jul 05 2009I recently found out about Kossoris through a friend who got placed into her company by Amy a couple years ago. My friend wasn't lying when she said Amy works for you right away and really gets things done. This woman is so on top of it! Within a matter of days following my initial interivew with her, she had already gotten me lined up for several interviews at big firms. I don't know how she does it, but she has awesome contacts. I guess that's the perk of working with a head hunter - you don't have to do the searching and she already has great relationships with her clients. I'd definitely pass on her card to anyone interested.

Sun Jul 05 2009Amy is by far my favorite recruiter in LA. I've worked with several other search firms before and have not had great experiences, until I came across Kossoris Search. Unlike other headhunters, Amy really gives you personal attention and care. She's genuine and really cool and friendly to work with. It's not just some automated process like with larger search firms; Amy really loves what she does and it shows through the attention she pays to her work. She gets things done fast and more importantly, she gets them done right. I've temped through her several times in the past, and now I've finally scored a permanent position, so I really owe thanks to Amy for helping me out so much throughout the years. She's a lifesaver!

Wed Jul 02 2008Amy is an extremely busy woman with a demanding business. She certainly has room for improvement in the punctuality area but I still find her to be extremely professional. She landed me a position in a very prestigious law firm that I am very happy in. Having a few friends who have also dealt with her who have mixed reviews I believe I can fairly say that she does not put up with a lot. One individual did not show up to an interview she had arranged for them, and Amy does not have time to deal with flakiness. This is time that she invests and how she makes her money, and she loses time/money when people flake out. Judging from the other reviews it seems as though others do not give the professionalism back. If you are not interested in the company she wants to set up an interview with, tell her. She is very accomodating and loves to find the perfect match. She will only treat people like children when they act like children.
