From my knowledge of voices I've heard in the transgender community, I'm pretty sure she is a transsexual woman, post op. The kids she refers to could be her husband's from a previous marriage. The voice is a major tell. It needs work, as she doesn't sing or laugh femininely yet.

You will enjoy this show if: (0000) you are a Republican AND a bigot (0001) you are a late-middle-age male (bonus points if you are Retired) (0010) you are a "blue collar kinda guy" (0011) you would "hit that" (0100) you are a self-proclaimed "computer enthusiast/amateur" (0101) you mark your one-egg newegg.com reviews with "high technical understanding" yet you should have RTFM (0110) you believe that individuals that you know who work in I.T. would love to hear you recap (a.k.a. f*ck up) some little nugget of the InterWebs that Kim Komando told you. (0111) you call FireFox "FOX FIRE!" (1000) you must reset your one and ONLY password more than once a month because "the computer messed it up" (1001) your 6 year old "rig" is in one of those computer cases that looks like a sport car (1010) you complain about how slow your 6YO computer is, yet you will not upgrade, purchase new, or rebuild your messy OS (1011) you ask above mentioned I.T. guys computer questions before doing ONE Google... I've been in the computer support business for 26 years, and an MCSE for about 10. I've emailed her to question some of the answers I've heard, and found that she knows the underlying technology, but tries not to overwhelm average or novice users with internal minutiae. If you're a hardcore geek, you will know better ways to do many things, but if you're the average home user (her target audience), she can help you, as can her website. Frankly, I've quit trying to help non-techie friends, as they always know better - they just need a little help getting rid of this virus/spyware/keylogger/rootkit, and they'll be fine. Heck, they know so much more than me, they should be working for the vendor (as I do), and why am I paid so much, anyway? Keep her program in context (computers for amateurs), and it's good. Oh, and her name really IS Komando - it's not some right-wing thing. I may just as well complain about Bob Brinker and his left-wing advice. Don't look for more than is there,... Read more

Are the callers Fake ? Every caller she has she tries to sell them something. Seems weird that every caller she has, she says there is a link on her web page about the callers problem. Her advice is basic and she is wrong, about half of the time.

alone123- if you are new to computers, than how can you possibly know if she's helping you or not? Her advice is bland, bad, and she doesn't listen to what her callers need. I can't stand listening for more than 10 minutes her advice is SO bad. She ignores Macs. (No, I don't own a Mac.) She's just not that good people.

Right wing radio talk show masquerading as a digital/computer information/help program. Notice her handle is "Komando". After listening to several of her shows promoting the Iraq war and the "troops" I came to see why her handle is Kim "Komando".

It's good for computer dummies, not too good for people who have fairly good knowledge of computers, might listen for some info on news that come out on the market not too good for solving real computer problems.

Informative without being overly technical. She is able to put computers on a level the average person can grasp. Her website has the shareware goodies that she talks about on her program and they work as claimed. This lady has her act together.
