My kids have been going to Kids R Kids on Lakeline in Cedar Park and they love it. The teachers are so loving and caring my girls sometimes don't even want to leave at the end of the day. They have learned so much: colors, shapes, respect, patience and many other important tools that I know will help them when they go to kindergarten. I haven't seen one lazy person at this location and the interaction they give my child is nothing but positive. I guess there are just people in this world that are unhappy with everything? Not this parent!

Honestly i was thinking it was a good idea to send my child there because I was able to see them on the camera. Wrong, The teachers are lazy and did not play with my infant. They did not answer my questions when I was asking why she was not engaging with the infants. The direct , MS SUSAN is HORRIBLE. She is fake, Honestly i would have given the school at least 3 stars if it was not for her. She smiles to get the business then when she has your money she does not care. She would not answer my questions nor take my calls. This is the Kids r Kids on N. Lake Line. I have not tried another one , nor will I . I suggest saving your money and finding a great daycare.

While I cannot give a scientific measurement of the success of my daughter's instruction at Kids R Kids, I can say with certainty that my daughter is stimulated and learns in a warm and responsive environment created by the Director's innovative approach to early childhood education. The Director (Elwin West) has a way of pulling together and making Kids R Kids a place for children to get a true start in their education. The Director shows unparalleled commitment to parents, families and the community. As a parent, I can attest to her professionalism and her concern for the well-being of the child development center and the kids who frequent it.

On my daughter's fourth birthday, I asked her to choose a popular character for on top of her birthday cake. Very seriously, she said, "I would like Miss Susan on my cake." We often wonder what we'd do without her. Miss Susan (a Pre-K teacher at Kids R Kids) is our greatest ally in the education of our kids about respect for others and the environment, sensorial learning, science, math, as well as the importance of early literacy skills.

So very disappointed in this school. When we started there all seemed well, then slowly started to deteriorate. This school DOES NOT work with your child if they deviate from the scheduled daily routine in any way. After meeting with the teachers and director it became very clear that it was a situation that was not going to improve and shamefully quick to blame parents and children for any problems. I thought that Child care meant CARING for ALL children not just the ones who do as they are told. Its one thing to guide a spirited child but its another to try and break their spirit. My suggestion to all parents looking at this day care....pay by the week (for a speedy exit if need be) and be sure to watch the streaming video!

I visited Kids R Kids Avery Ranch and was very impressed with the entire experience. Te owners both personally took time to speak with me and to give me a tour of the facility. I really liked the way different ages were groups and separated, from the classrooms to the outdoor play areas. Each area was also equipped to be safe and appropriate for the age group. The staff was all very friendly and the technology in place to prepare the kids for different school districts was awesome. I also liked the cameras and ability to check in on the kids during the day. Overall, I was excited to find a childcare and learning center so focused on the kids and providing a high level of service. I would recommend Kids R Kids Avery Ranch to any parents in the area looking for peace of mind and a great place to prepare their kids for school.

Lets get the basics out of the way: I have two kids at this facility, one in after-school program and one in suite 350 (Toddlers). We've been coming here for roughly one year now. I can, unequivocally so, say that this is hand down the best facility I have ever encountered. My wife and I are both working professionals and we transferred from another provider to KRK shortly after we moved to Cedar Park. The kids truly look forward to coming here every day. After school program: When we first toured the facility, this part stood out. Great staff, clear ground rules for behavior, order and discipline. Yet, amenities galore, with iMacs, Wiis, foosball, reading corners etc used as incentives for AFTER the homework is done. great mix of indoor and outdoors activities. Staff is encouraging, friendly and my son can not stop talking about how great of a time he has. Toddler: Our daughter is so excited to come here every morning. The staff is nurturing, caring and just nice. I spot-check a f... Read more

I have been a parent at KidsRKids for about 7 months now. I am also a teacher at another school and have very high expectations for child care and parent/teacher communication. I have had 7 months of wonderful experiences with the administration, the parent-teacher communication, the affection expressed towards my child and the happiness that my child brings home from school. I think many people are quick to judge others instead of communicating their concerns and working with others to reach a desired goal. It is much easier to place blame on someone instead of looking at all of the factors and figuring out the real issues are. I have found the teachers very approachable and the lines of communication are wide open. I look forward to sending my other child there next year too. I wish that more of the satisfied parents would write reviews.

I have to say that I am sadly dissapointed on the outcome of this facility. First off, the Logo says "Schools of Quality Learning". This may ring true for some chains but not for this particular one. Though few teachers may be fully educated in the feild of child education, most at this center are not. I have found in my experience that the managment is soley concerned about image and not what is really important, teaching children the basic tools they will need to be well prepared for elementary. Yes, it is true that they have a standard curriculum that they are "SUPPOSED" to follow but I can assure you most of the time it is not. When I tried to bring this to the attention of managment I was basically shut down. I feel like we as teachers are meant to be seen and not heard at this facility. The management treats the staff like dogs unworthy of any respect. I can recall one incident where I was trying to talk to a parent and a member of management called me on the phone and started t... After paying for the whole month of November including a student activity fee we sudden learned my daughter would be going to YMCA that month instead which meant she would be able to attend after school activities at her elementary school. When I went to the administration just to tell them I was astonished at the reaction I got from them Automatic combative and offensive. I have never dealt with them much including the owner and we just got the whole 9 yards of how we don?t get anything back and we can take legal action if we what to and they went on and on about it. I just wanted out of there fast! Just know this and know it for sure. You may get a deposit back from these people but you are NEVER going to get any other money back that you give them. No matter what the agreement says which mine says they get a 2 week notice but that isn?t good enough for them. They are keeping all of our money when they didn?t do anything for it. I would suggest paying by the week so if you ... Read more

I am so sadto say that the owner has really disappointed me. She looks out for herself and treats the staff so rude. I am sad to say that I see why there is a huge turn around. I have never worked for this company, but I know so much about it and being a parent "I would want to treat my KIDS and STAFF as kin and I can" I do not recommend this daycare at all

I AM CONFUSED AS TO THE POSTING ON THIS SITE, MY CHILD ATTENDED THIS DAYCARE, AND I TO HAD FOUND THE FRONT OFFICE STAFF RUDE, UNFRIENDLY, AND SEEMS COULD CARE LESS WHEN WE WOULD WALK INTO THIS SCHOOL, NOT THAT I NEEDED IT, I JUST WANTED THE COMFORT THAT THING WERE OK AND WE ALL HAVE A BAD DAY, BUT IT SEEM EVERY DAY WAS BAD THERE NO ONE SEEMED HAPPY, AND MAYBE THAT WAS WHAT BOTHERED ME,JUST NO COMFORT LEVEL THAT I FELT WAS WORTH ME WORRYING WHEN I LEFT IF THE TEACHER'S ARE IN THE SAME MOOD.

I have been a teacher with KRK for 3 years and I must admit that I have been hurt by many of the comments posted. My personal teaching philology is to teach respect and empathy for others. I guess this is a lesson for some adults too! I want each child to feel respected, loved and able to know without a doubt that they are important and what they say and think matters. I have been in the childcare field for seven years. I have gained experience from other teachers who took me under their wing. Many teachers here try and do the same thing with new staff. As far as KRK is concerned I believe that we will not be able to meet the needs of everyone who enters. Some staff will not be willing to learn or work together. We let them go! Some parents will not like the diversity or personality of our staff. We will let them go! Everyone must make up their minds on how they feel about our school. Chances are you will not like some teachers or families. That can be said about all scho... Read more

I HAVE QUESTION? ARE THESE THE WAY SOME OF YOU PARENTS FEEL, WHAT HAPPENS AFTER WE DROP ARE KIDS OFF, ARE WE GETTING OUR MONEYS WORTH, AS FAR AS OUR KIDS BEIING PROPLY CARED FOR OR BEING TAUGHT BASIC SCHOOL SKILLS THAT ARE NEEDED AND PERT OF THE PROGRAM. I FEEL AS A PARENT AND PAST KIDS R KIDS PARENT "NO" IS THE ANSWER. THERE IS SOMETHING NOT RIGHT HERE WITH THIS DAY CARE.AND JUST CAN'T PUT MY FINGER ON IT, BUT NOT THERE ANYMORE, AND GO WITH YOUR GUT FEELING IT"S ALLWAYS RIGHT

I just want to give my two cents...I myself am a teacher at Kids R Kids Avery Ranch, and I must say that I love it there. I can't believe that some of you come on here and try to ruin the reputation of the very same loving people that you once entrusted the care of your children to. I mean they had to have made you feel comfortable at one time or another. I mean you come on here and start throwing out racial slurs and degrading remarks about the staff, all while hiding behind a screen name. If things are that bad at Kids R Kids then leave, and when you do have the guts tom tell Ms.Elwin, Mr. John, Ms. Rola or Ms. Sughanda why you are withdrawing. It bothers me being a teacher that you would stoop to such low levels. I mean you state that we teachers do not have degrees and that we are old convicts, but at the same time you can't even spell the word rude! I guess your degree plan didn't come with a computer class that teaches you how to spell check first. Anyway, I am telling all... Read more

I would like to state for the record that I love Kids'R'Kids Avery Ranch. I was ashamed and applaud at what a parent said about Kids'R'Kids at a shopping party I attended. I felt like I had to respond. The parent child did not attend Kids'R'Kids long and she wanted her child to be catered to as if he was the only child in the room. I have two children at Kids'R'Kids and from the time we enter the school until the time we leave we have nothing but great service from the front desk (I will be professional and not use names) to the teachers to the owner. I cannot believe in this day and time we still have people have degrading other people, and races, it is just embarrassing. I am glad that Kids'R'Kids has such great diversity with teachers and they are highly educated. I would highly recommend this school! Some people should just be respectful, and to think this person is a teacher in a high school. That is scary and I wonder how does she treat children of other diverse groups in ... Read more

As a parent, what do I want for my baby? Caring teachers who will give me peace of mind of mind when I'm at work. I get that at KRK. As it is, we parents feel enormous guilt about having to leave our darling angels at a day-care. But, KRK takes my guilt away. I can see my baby from my office computer. How cool is that! I feel blessed that not only me but my parents in India can also log in to see my baby in class. For grandparents to stay 8363 miles away from their blossoming grand-children is not easy. We can only meet once in 2 or 3 years. No one can understand the pain and nostalgia of staying far from my roots better than me. But, my parents feel so happy to see their granchild's classroom at KRK from their home in India. That is priceless. Which other daycare will gave me that? And yes, the diversity rocks! I feel free and comforted at KRK because my child sees so much variety in the hair color, skin color, accents here that she will never feel odd. Cheers to that! Each class at ... Read more

I am proud to work at a super-successful, high quality preschool as Kids 'R' Kids. Nowhere in Austin will you find another school where the owners are as visionary, passionate and committed as Mr. West and Mrs. West. They care for all the children in the center as if they were their own. KRK is a close-knit family. Just like a Mother bird encourages her baby birds to fly and soar high in the air, the owners have high expectation of excellence from their staff. The owners don't want babysitters in their team, but early childhood educators who implement the currculum in the classroom. The owners introspect day and night about the strengths that God has gifted their staff members with. They try to find the bit fit between their staff's capabilities and the school's needs. Sugandha and Shay persistently strive towards empowering the teachers and supporting them in the classroom. Parents have full confidence in Rola to answer their questions. All in all, like Olympic athletes are guided by... Read more

Kids R Kids Avery Ranch is a great place! I love it! They have a friendly staff and great people. The facility is big and clean. The staff is always willing to help and if they happen not to know they direct you to someone who does. I think it's one of the greatest childcare facilities that I know. The people at the front desk are very friendly and can always answer your questions. I would recommend this facility to anyone who wants a great service and wonderful teachers with a great learning experience.

I have two children that attend Kids R Kids Avery Ranch, and I have nothing but good things to say about them. My children have been with this facility for 2 years and they couldn't be treated better. The owner is on site and anytime I had an issue or concern she was on top of it. The teachers that I have encountered are highly educated men and women that go above and beyond the call of duty. My children come home talking about all the great things that they do on a daily basis, and my youngest can't wait to go to school to see her teachers. Some of the posts that I have looked at here are really contradicting. It as if they are n0t really thinking about what they are saying, and just trying to hurt Kids R kids reputation. Some people really should find better things to do in their spare time!

After reading each of the 9 reviews, I have to say to everyone and especially the owners of KRK that it is true that there is no warm welcome at the front desk, that I witnessed a staff pushing away a toy with her dirty sole shoe and that after asking information, no one got back to me. I do agree that during my tour, although there were two adults in the rooms, childrenw ere left to cry on the floor, while a teacher was counting diapers!! and the other putting things away. No much learning there! It is expensive and you can find better. Very disappointing. Don t put your kids there. It is only a money-driven show-off!!

I can not agree more with BrushyCreekMom and roundrockmom. I had the very same experience. I wish I had read these reviews before I enrolled my child there. My child only stayed a few months. That was all that I could take. The Assistant Director is difficult to work with and often rude and the Director was not very approachable. I now see that the only good reviews seem to be written by the staff at Kids'R'Kids. I would hope that the owners would use the reviews as constructive criticism and make some improvements.

It is very sad when a school has been as good to you as Kids R Kids Avery Ranch has been, that you result to posting such negativity. Especially after the owner/director worked so hard to help you out with your situation. In my eyes she is a very understanding person as well as the peson at the front desk. We wish well and be BLESSED.

My daughter attended Kids R Kids as an after-schooler but we will not be going back. The owner/director never said a word to me (or ever really smiles for that matter), the lady that works the front desk is difficult to deal with, and the mood around the facility is very somber. I just never really got the feeling that it was a very kid friendly place. We were attracted to the facility itself when we enrolled her, and of course the staff put their best foot forward then, but it all changed once we began paying (the VERY high) tuition. The last straw was when I was paying her last month of tuition and they charged me a 3 month supply fee. I agreed to pay a third of her supply fee, since she would be there until the end of the first of the 3 months, but I refused to pay the additional 2 months since I had given them advanced noticed that I would be de-enrolling her. The director is apparently not as accommodating as she says she is in her own post below, because she told me I would... Read more

I completely and totally agree with roundrockmom!!! The staff is totally unaware of child development! I watched my son sit on the floor with the rest of his classmates 75% of the day on pieces of tape. As I watched through the cameras into the classroom, none of the kids were interested in being read a chapter book to (not even reading exciting picture books) or listening to someone else talk at them. Three year olds want to learn by doing, acting, seeing, touching, moving, something other than sitting on their rearends! My son has not gained anything from this facility. I was even warned by other parents that they pulled their children out mainly because of the director and lack of knowledge by the entire staff. If only I had listened!!! When my kids were at another commercial chain daycare, they received such love and learned so much! I was always treated with so much respect and the kids enjoyed going each day. I am a very "HAPPY" parent with Kids'R'Kids. My child just completed their Pre-K program and I must say they really focus on preparing a child for Kindergarten. Our graduation cermony was so nice, it was held at the Avery Ranch Golf Club house and our children were able display all the information that they have learned over the school year. My 20 month also receives excellent care. The school is so inviting from the moment you enter the school until you leave. I am so glad my co-worker recommended me to this school. Everyone is so friendly and I have never stood in a childcare lobby to talk and meet other parents like I do at Kids'R'Kids. I hope they are able to keep up the good service they provide.

I think Kids'R'Kids is a GREAT! pre-school. Not only are the children learning, but the staff is great. I know about the centers out their who are just a babysitting service and Kids'R'Kids in Avery Ranch is not. It is ashame that the last parent listed such negative things, but something good made her enroll her child in the school. We as parents must admit when our child do not listen or are disruptive in the class and we as parents need to be accountable. If you are asked to leave or get your child uncontrol don't get mad, just remember the good times your child had at the school. You know when your child is doing well in school. Parents will always want to schdeule play dates with you and your child. I personally do not like to judge other people, so I make sure when we do get together it is to play and have fun not down grade the wonderful people who are loving on my child while I am at work. As for the front office people they are always their to help. Keep up the good ... Read more

We tried this childcare facility for our child, and were disappointed. The teachers didn't seem to enjoy their job much, and there didn't seem to be much awareness of basic child development. I wish we had checked out the state's licensing web site first, we would have seen they have had multiple poor inspections from the state. The facility is terrific, new and bright and clean. We've had much better experiences for our children at other chains. For the money, you can do much better than this daycare.

Kids'R'Kids is a very friendly environment and the staff is great. When you enter the school the Front Desk Manager, Asst. Director and Director are all there to help. We have several parents who enjoy our school and the staff. Unfortunately we have parents who get upset when the management team must follow policy and when we do, they are angry and find that posting negative information on the internet is the best possible way to get back at the school. All I can say is "Stop by the school for yourself at anytime of the day" we will be glad to help you and you will notice the warm and friendly environment. As for the tuition if parents have done there research they will tell you that we are very affordable for working parents and we offer excellent care. If you want true details, stop by and just ask parents who are actually enrolled in the school. I am sure they will be glad to share. As for the worknmom, yes we read the postings that are sent to us by City Search because we... Read more
