Fri Sep 04 2009For the price these subs are a great bargain. The RMS on these are 400 watts and I am only using 280 to push them, so I wonder how it would sound if I got a stronger amp that had a 400 RMS watt rating? Great find though, cant beat it.

Thu Aug 20 2009I have owned 2 of these incredible subs for a little under a year. They are the only subs i have ever owned. I had them in my 1991 ford escort gt. They were powered by a Kicker ZX1000.1 Amp (1000W RMS), (2000W Peak). They were in a sealed box, and hit as hard as many systems worth well over 2 thousand. The secret: Strong connections, a good RCA wire and signal wire, a battery or capacitor to power it (in addition to your car's battery). I ran this system on a panasonic head unit (about 150 at abc warehouse), and it shook as hard as my friends who have poured big bucks into systems. One buddy had an excursion with a 10, 2-12's, 2-15's, and 2-8's, all were powered as pairs or individually, and my car was ALMOST as loud as his. And i only spent [...] bucks on my subs :))). The best part about these subs, is the price. I haven't sucessfuly blown one of these subs yet, but i've been trying for almost a year. Even if you do blown one, it's [...] bucks for a brand new one! Live loud. Sha... Read more

Thu Jul 23 2009I bought a pair of these about two years ago and built a cab for the back of my Jeep. A little over a year ago, I totalled the Jeep. The cabinet remained intact and is now in the back of my 4Runner. They still sound great. I am contemplating building a 2x12, or maybe even a 2x15 cab for my bass guitar amp. When I finalize my plans, these speakers will be involved.

Sat Jun 20 2009This is one of the best subwoofers I have ever heard! Of course it needs appropriate power to sound right but if it is powered well enough you wont ever want to turn it down. I have one in my car with another older 12 inch kenwood subwoofer which I am replacing with another one of these and I can clearly tell the difference between them. I would HIGHLY recommend this to anyone that wants quality AND something that pounds.
