Yeah I have been with Kelly Services for a month now and I haven't received one call. When I went in for their interview they were very kind and friendly but they mixed me up with another candidate. They were very unorganized. When I left they said they were looking into an opportunity for me and I would hear from them. I never did so I called them a week later. they said they didn't know what I was talking about and didn't know why someone never called me. I'm sorry but even if you can't get me into a position for whatever reason.. get off your lazy ass and call me to let me know. Don't just leave me hanging and waiting. I know your the middle man but I could do a better job than that. You have to be on the ball! This place and all agencies are pieces of crap... don't use them.

If I could rate Kelly's Services with no stars I would. The first time I worked for Kelly's I was still in college and didn't have much experience on my resume. So the jobs I was available to work were somewhat limited because my lack of experience. So I was getting offered warehouse jobs from them and that was fine because I was still in college and need some extra cash. Fast forward to 2009 I start working for Kelly's again, because I needed work and we can all agree the recession is making hard to find anything, with a predominant company. I get let go after months and start to claim unemployment. Being that this was the first time I am claiming benefits I was very uneducated about the process. But let me tell you dealing with Kelly's I have learned about a lifetime of information in 3 weeks dealing with these jerk-offs. First things first, They kept calling me with assembly line work and I started to think what makes them think that I would work for little money folding boxes when... Read more

I did work for this agency off and on for five years. It was in NY and SF etc. So naturally it does have more work than some of the other agencies being more famous. I think it has gone down a lot now. There does seem to be a slowdown in secretarial work. It is kind of ruined in NY to me. It used to be called Kelly Girl and that said it all. I had some excellent reviews on it many actually but some can be nasty. So I was called the typist a lot even though many of my positions had other duties. I went to a lot of famous companies from them. Many of my jobs were from other agencies. The annoying thing is that some will still use that Kelly name for the other agencies. People can sometimes not be very nice and take it all too seriously. They can give you nasty reviews. So if you get three or more you are mostly off it and what will happen then is that you will be out. They will also constantly call and try and get feedback as some have told me. So they can be really terrible. They are n... Read more

This comment is just for employment agencies in general. Coming from someone who has worked at one for eight years there is a lot of stuff behind the scenes that you don't know about. We are the middle man and it is the companies we send you to that has the control and upperhand. They ask us to jump and we say how high. Some client companies take complete advantage of this fact and ask us to do things that just doesn't seem fair. What happens a lot is that they will call to say they need a certian amount of people for a job and then after we are done getting them those people they will either cancel all or some of the jobs. We don't have control over that. Because we are the middle man we are made to look like the bad guy. We are the scape goat. It is for this very fact that we have to not promise ANYTHING! We tell all of our temps that there are no guarantees. We sit on our hands a lot as well. It really is a crap shoot. You are one of hundreds that apply to a temp agency. You have a ... Read more

I had a lot of problems working with Kelly Services. I have been registered with Kelly since before 2004. I had one position through them for over 2 years. I went off and found something consulting on my own but when I knew that job was going to end, I got in contact with Kelly again. Needless to say, I'd have a better chance getting a job if I bang my head against a wall. I don't know what the problem is with several Kelly offices. The recruiters are part-time and occasionally handle a position being recruited on the east coast with Michigan recruiters. I finally got so annoyed being strung along that I contacted the recruiting regional office and complained to them about their unprofessional recruiting staff. However, it's not just one office that has this type of staffing issue. I was called a few days ago by a Kelly office for a job at a major pharmaceutical. I get no return calls, however, I sure got tested quickly. There is a very cavalier attitude about promptness... Read more

I personally had no problems with Kelly. I used them twice for contract assignments; my most recent one turned into a permanent position. Kelly has recruiters physically on-site at my corporation due to the high volume of temporary staff we use, so that might be why they were always reliable and knew what they were doing. But my friend had a completely different experience. She wasn't getting called for any positions for months. She would contact her Kelly recruiter when she would come across a job, and the recruiter would tell her she would be submitted for it, that my friend had great reviews from the assignments she was on, that she didn't know why my friend wasn't getting called back. So my friend was collecting unemployment during this time without an assignment. Then she gets a letter from unemployment, saying her benefits were being cut and she had to repay what she had already received, because her social security number didn't match their records and she was being acc... The Kelly's branch in my home town was awesome! They worked quickly and found me three temp sites and the last one I am in the process of making my perm. employer. That is if the St. Cloud branch can get their act together! See my local office closed because I live in such a small town and jobs are scarce, so my "file" was transferred to the St. Cloud branch. I stopped receiving my paycheck, and so has another employee I work with at my site. Then this last time I had 4 bills automatically taken out, hit the bank before my check because I was not paid for the 3rd time. When I called to tell them all this I was informed that they would not pay my over draft fees totaling 150 dollars because pay day isn't until Friday, even though I ALWAYS received my paychecks on Thursdays. Even after that I still did not receive that paycheck in question until Tuesday. Even better my 5th bill hit my account on that Monday making it another 37.50 overdraft fee and even further into the hole, thus mak... Read more

I was offered a job working at Express Scripts last week through Kellys. I took my drug test and my background check, signed w2 forms and was given paper work that I needed to take my first day of work, which was suppose to be one day this week. Kelly's called me this evening and told me I wasnt going to be able to work, something about Express Scripts not wanting to wait for my background check to come back (which is suppose to be in a couple of days) and that they where starting training tomorrow for the position!!!!!!!! I'm so disgusted Ive been out of work for 9 months due to being laid off and just when I think I have a job it gets snatched from me the same week that im suppose to start WORK!!! Im so hurt by this!!!!!!!!! Such a waste of time and I thank god I wasnt offered any other postions that I would have turned down thinking that I already had employment!

They are like most recruiting agencies, they interview you, submit you for a position and then you never hear back from them. This practice is unprofessional and cruel, especially in today's job market.

i am a part of the Kelly Engineering section, and have been since june of 09. After being summarily discharged from the military, they managed to find me a position with a reputable employer as a contractor. I have found my stay with Kelly to be quite fruitful, and the pay quite fair. as for benefits, i do not care because what ever they offer was not as good as the benefits i found for myself. so that being said, i have enjoyed my employment and and going to be again unemployed possibly come february of 2010, and have yet to say a single bad thing about Kelly. good company, as long as you do not sign a contract without FULLY UNDERSTANDING the requirements.

As a company who has used Kelly Services in the past we were totally disappointed this time around. We needed someone to fill in temporary for at least 3 months and possibly longer. When I had some problems with my request up front I should have decided right then to look for another temp agency. I asked for someone with strong computer skills and most importantly someone who was well versed with Excel. We spent two weeks training her and when she had to operate on her own things just started falling apart. She sent 45 minutes trying to pull Excel from a web based program before the IT guy told her that all computers in office had MS office (includes Excel) on them. One of the employees here sent her a spread sheet and ask her to make a change to one of the spreadsheets in the workbook; she replied that the info wasn't there. She didn't know to open one of the other tabs... she had never seen that before she said.... At this point we knew we had a problem and I called and left... Read more

I recently spent about $60.00 in fingerprinting, background check fees, and sub licensing. I was told you could make this a full time job if you wanted to. Also, I had to sit through an orientation telling me that I had to purchase items for a sub pack. At this point, I am a little nervous feeling, but though this is just routine. I accepted several jobs via the KASS Login and everything was fine. Come the weekend before I am supposed to be at my designated spot I try to login. KASS was telling me that my ID number was invalid. I tried all weekend and even tried calling the 1-800 number. Monday she calls me and says are you going to the school and I politely tell her of the situation and she did not believe me. She said according to this you are still active and I don't believe you even tried. She said we don't need people like you. After the conversation I thought about it for a bit and realized she didn't need to speak to me that way. I called back and asked for the super... Read more

Worst company I have ever worked for. They lied to me and the client from the very beginning. I told Kelly I could only work three days a week in the evening because I already have a f/t job and school. They happily agreed to conform to my scheudule but asked if I could come in early the first few days for training. Long behold, the customer was convinced that I would work everyday, without providing benefits (because kelly said they would) for hours that were inconvenient for me. When I told Kelly these hours didnt work for me, they waited three days to tell me that the client wanted someone with open hours. On top of it, it took them over a month to fax my direct deposit for to the billing department, and i'm still waiting on my check to this day. Incredibly poor management at the Cranberry facility, and very dishonest as a whole.

This is the first and hopefully last time I will be this disgusted by a company. And while the economic times give employers an advantage over the workers, it does NOT make Kelly Services behavior or actions acceptable. I was contacted by Kelly Services to fill a position at a major fortune 500 company. They hired me. At first, it was a good job and everything appeared fine. Kelly Services rushed me into the position and got my paperwork passed through very fast. After a week or so of getting settled into the new position, details began changing very, very quickly. What is more upsetting is that Kelly Services is a head hunting firm but they also becomes your employer as well so they are in complete control of your income/benefits/ YOUR LIFE. For starters, health insurance.........when they interviewed me, I asked about coverage which they happily said they covered. That turned out to be a complete lie. Not only do they not cover you, but if you do want coverage the percentage y... Read more

Kelly Services (formerly Kelly Girls) is run by a bunch of bigoted, sexists idiots. A man doesn't have much of a chance of getting hired there; if you're over 55 FORGET it. I wonder how many times they have been sued for discrimination. Anyone know? They are rude, crude, obnoxious & pathological liars. Unless you are white, female & under 25 w/o a disability you don't have a chance with these clowns.

Whatever you do, DON'T work for Kelly Services. Yes, they come across very friendly and warm- wouldn't you be too knowing that you'd make $2.00 an hour off that person?? They are RUDE, and DISHONEST!! Spend the extra time it may take to find a job on your own. They literally do NOTHING for you, no paid holidays (the requirements are ridiculous!!) they say they offer health insurance at a "discounted" rate; HA, its expensive and Kelly Services pay NOTHING toward your health insurance even though technically THEY are your EMPLOYER!!! They'll also tell you pay days are Friday, first you'll wait 3 weeks for your first check then you get to wait for a paycheck BY MAIL from Michigan!! Kelly Services are CON ARTISTS AT BEST!!!

The branch where I am the people are very pleasant, however, they are not very informative. You have to constantly call and ask questions. They do not offer the information on their own accord. I happened to stumble upon the website. You would think that this is informatiion they would relay to you at your initial orientation among other things such as discounts, and courses that you can take-at least mention it. I was aware of any of this until I stumbled upon the website. When I contacted my branch about it, they didn't have a whole lot to offer other than giving me a password to get connected. If I wouldn't have stumbled upon it myself, I would never have known. I found out that other employees in my area have had the same issue. Again, the people there are pleasant. But that is about it. I also was disappointed to find out that I have worked all of these hours and do not qualify for the next holiday pay because the hours start over at the beginning of each fiscal year an... Kelly Services is one of the worst employment agencies around. They jerk you around, playing games. They're totally smug and downright rude when you call in your availability. In fact, I got so sick and tired of calling in my availability on the phone and practically getting my head bitten off (I got so intimidated) that I now do it by email. There are so many thing's I have to say about Kelly; unfortunately, I don't think I'm going to be allowed to enter the number of keystrokes. However, if anyone wants to reach me to hear more, my email is [email protected]. And just for the record, I was laid off from my last perm job, I was NOT fired; plus, I have excellent job skills.

I have had a great experience with Kelly Services! Compared to other agencies they remain more consistent with their policies and treat their employees the way they should. I had an assignment with them that started as a three month temporary, and it turned to a full-time position! I love the company I am with and have no complaints!

Kelly Services did what they were supposed to do. I received an assignment at the corporation I wished to be employed by, they paid me for three months, and then I was hired by the Corporation. I ended up making much more money than Kelly paid me after transition, and actually recieved holiday pay, sick leave, stock options, etc. They're good if you want to get your foot in the door. Of course, it all depends on who you end up working for.

At my last job I met a delightful fellow worker who said she was impressed with my work habits, and so put in a positive word about me to a Kelly worker she commuted with. The Kelly person seemed at that time interested in having me come in to register with them when my seasonal assignment ended. I was looking forward to this, having already e-mailed the Kelly woman and receiving a positive reply. However, when my assignment actually ended and I tried to make an appointment with Kelly and this person, I was sent a short e-mail saying basically "Don't call us, we'll call you"; not even allowing me to come in and register with them as I had been led to believe would surely happen. A complete change of attitude.

We have Kelly Services over here and they did give me a couple of really good assignments - the last one they gave me led onto being a permanent member of staff at a higher grade. This job is the most safest as well as its government. I have found one thing with agencies though, you have to constantly phone them to make sure that they do not forget you and sometimes they will try to give you the worst job ever - and you don't have a lot of rights as an agency worker either. But Kelly's were one of the most effective that I used.
