the klr 650 is THE best adventure touring bike ever built. i rode mine for a year, solo, 25000 miles from Canada to the tip of South America, and back, so I know. Only probs I had were typical tires, chain, sprocket wear. The starter solinoid deal went out, and a headlite and brake lite bulb. the bike is cheap to buy, easy to work on, (no computer bs), enuf power loaded down (i evenhad a mountain bike tied on mine!, gets 50 mpg, and lots of cool stuff avail online. (do the upgrades!) i love my little KLR!

KLR 600 and KLR 650 are great big off-road bikes. Adequate for highway as well.
