Creeped me out so much Misery, but has come off as a very classy woman in most of her other roles.  She was in Primary Colors?

Seems like everyone would appreciate Kathy's works. Even in Six Feet Under she stole the show. Loved all of her movies, but my favorite is Unconditional Love!

Compelling actress in Misery, Dolores Claiborne, Unconditional Love and all the tv movies and shows she has performed in.

If you are a true Kathy Bates fan, please rent the movie "Unconditional Love" - it is one of her best, because she sings in it. Love her in everything she's done - from Misery to Six Feet Under.

She completely won me over in Fried Green Tomatoes, and it made me go back and watch everything she's ever done.

I WAITED AND COULD NOT FIND IT LISTED, AND JUST TODAY, I REALIZED THAT IT WAS NOT A SERIES, I CALLED ALL OF MY FRIENDS AND SAID WHAT HAPPENED TO AMBULANCE GIRL, AND EVERYONE TOLD ME THAT IT WAS A ONE TIME THING, I COULD NOT BELIEVE IT. I WANT IT TO CONTINUE AS A SERIES. PLEASE PLEASE KATHY TALK THEM INTO A SERIES, YOU CAN DO IT. I KNOW YOU CAN DO IT. HELP. AMBULANCE GIRL WAS THE BEST THING ON TV THAT WEEK.

Just watched Kathy Bates in a Lifetime TV movie called Ambulance Girl and she was fantastic. She also directed the movie. Kathy is a unique and fantastic actress. Why don't we have a category for TV Movies??

She was great in Primary Colors and turned in the only non-wooden performance in Titanic I thought. Plays the whole 'brassy dame' thing real well.

She was so scary in Misery, I found myself smashing my knees up onto my face in my chair, holding my ankle bones for dear life! A very talented and underated performer.

I enjoy her movies...she's one of the greatest actresses of the past few decades. She has played a variety of roles and has done so w/ superb acting.

This woman shocked the industry when she beat out Meryl Streep (Postcards from the Edge) and Anjelica Houston (The Grifters) in 1990 to win Best Actress Oscar for 'Misery'.......and since then she has been consistently brilliant in character roles like 'Primary Colors'.....Has a menacing presence in everything. Just check out Bates in About Schmidt....

I would like to see more of these 'real looking' women in actress roles, after all, we have to watch homely, fat, bald men like Jack Nicolson in movies, so why not have real looking women. I just wonder at how many women of great acting talent there are out there who the execs in La La land pass by because they are not a size 2 with fake boobs and pretty?

Kathy has given some compelling performances in several movies. She should have won the supporting actress award for Primary Colors. She stole the movie and gave a very dramatic and moving speech in it.

I don't think there is anything this woman can't do. If I had to pick a best performance I would say Dolores Claiborne or The Late Shift.

Loved her in everything I've seen her in. Proves that talent does shine through and you don't need to look like a sexbomb to make it.

Kathy is a truly great actress and also a director. Just saw the new rental UNCONDITIONAL LOVE and it was one of the best movies I've ever seen. I didn't know Kathy could sing so well! Also loved her in Dolores Claiborne and Misery, but all the shows she does are wonderful - even HBO's Six Feet Under. Hope she wins all kinds of awards.

Excellent in every role, nice to see an average looking women making it, wish she had more movies under her belt, as she is the female verison of Jack Nicholson (only more talented), he gets fame and lots of bucks and she gets minor roles because she doesn't look like a model.

Kathy bates is the greatest actresss of all time .Have you seen her in misery! judging by the opinions most of you have.Shes classic. Seein her hobble Mr caan was a great moment in cinematic history and the swearing and chapter plays speeches were unforgetable as were all her other outstanding performances.She won many awards for her films.an ocar,golden globes obies and critic awards.i only said i was #2 fan as i thought #1 would be taken.Kathy is number#1 in my eyes!

I only have one word: "Misery." Watch this movie. It could not be cast any better than Kathy Bates, and James Caan. Great movie!

Kathy Bates has done some really great roles in big movies and she should have been given more Oscars. On an interview show she said she is extremely shy, unlike her characters in the movies. She seems like a very kind person and is exremely talented.

Kathy Bates is proof that you don't need to be an anorexic supermodel to get where you want in life. She is also very talented and is able to take on almost any role that she chooses.

I have seen her do comedy (in movies like "Rat Race") and drama (in movies like "Misery") and be equally compelling in both. She was certainly the best part of "Titanic" and was the breath of fresh air in that overlong and stale movie.

I think Kathy Bates is the best actress today. She is definitely my favorite. She is versatile and very well rounded.
