    The Jumbo Video store in East Tawas is just as crooked. The so called manager Julia who thinks she owns the store is someone I would never work for, let alone associate with. When you return a movie it may be logged in, if she decides to stay open past 9 pm. She has made me physically sick when I have gone to go inside. She would be standing outide smoking a cigarette by the door and talking on the phone. Excuse me, but I don't want to smell that stuff. Then when she is outside she makes you wait until she is ready to come in. She talks down to other employees in front of customers. I have even seen her at a local bar, drinking after she called another employee in to cover her shift, supposedly she had the flu. We patienly waited for the release of a new movie, we even had it reserved for the first day it was available. Imagine our shock when we went in on the Saturdy before the release date and all the copies were already rented out. No wonder NetFlix is doing so well.

    Jumbo Video on Dort Highway in Flint SUCKS. Beware when returning a movie, they will say you never returned it and put you in collections. Make sure you personally hand it to an employee and have them check it in while you are there. I will NEVER do business with this company and I hope no one else does. It is a waste of money. The manager of the store is a nasty woman who is extremely rude to customers.

    They were once great but now are the worst! The asset sale was "The End" for Jumbo. (roll credits)

    I'm done w/Durand Jumbo Video as well. Management sucks..especially the *rol* Ed. I know who you are talking about. She has even made snide comments to my son....7 years old...boy, that must have boosted that power trip feeling she has. The employees are just as bad. As employees don't fall far from the managers tree..perhaps the owners tree as well. I have been a member there since 1999. Paid all bulls**t late fees, etc. I rented a game for my son, which didnt work, brought it back 1/2 hr later and they would not exchange it as they had to first determine that the game still worked and the employee w/the only ability to do this check has the ps2 at home. So in order to exchange this non-functioning game..I had to rent a another one and be credited if said game works. I have spent over $ 70.00 there so far this month..lord knows if I add since 1999 what just my family alone has brought in.     I agree, the Jumbo Video in Durand is getting very rude. I have been told they are trying to "get rid of the deadbeats" that come in and don't pay their late fees. I have always paid my late fees and have no problem paying my late fees BUT lately the late fees seem to be tracked incorrectly. It seems now that the employees can do no wrong and it is the deadbeats (not computer or employee error) that bear the brunt of their wrath. Funny thing is EVERYTIME I AM THERE, some "deadbeat" is getting chewed out. Last night I got chewed out for late fees (after I had already talked to the manager about explaining the charges) and they made rude noises at my back as I left the store. I called back and told the manager what had happened and I was told that the (rude old lady) was loved by 99% of the people that come in. They why is someone always pissed at her when I am there?     The jumbo video in durand has changed dramatically in the last few months "under new management". Now it seems, they've added rudeness to their selections. You get it whether you want it or not. Employees were let go under this new management to make for a better environment, now I'm going to the big box movie rental stores. Way to go, employee of the month.

    i worked for this company in East Tawas. I have read the reviews on the stores and none (with excep- tion of a couple) were good. i would have to agree that the people and the owners are rude. not only are they rude but they are theives, our checks were NEVER on time, we would recieve them 10-14 days late they have been takin taxes ( a very high amount that i know isnot the right amount) out of me since june and they have never reported my earnings to the state. how the hell am i supposed to get unemployement also they didnt have me fill out a w4 till about 2 months after i worked there, in that case they never had me do it i found them and filled one out for myself and faxed it over. i would hate to have to pursue these issues in further but i will if forced. so report my damn earnings and pay the tax money you owe the state for me that youve been takin out of my checks. this company is a JOKE.

    If your son bought a PV (previously viewed) Game.. The store ONLY gives exchanges, not refunds.. I work for Jumbo video in Davison, Michigan. Sorry to say, I'm sure that was told to you but you obviously didn't listen or remember. Which is why they said I'm only doing my job. damn right they are. You could have picked another game out or the same one to replace it with. Free of charge. I figured I'd explain to you what a exchange is. :D

    the local store refused to refund $ for a game my son rented that didnt work, when I complained to the store manager she saidd im just doing my job, when i complained to her boss they cancelled my account!!
