Sun Oct 11 2009Very biased reviews on here, I have been in Auburn a year and it is a beautiful town and campus. There is no such thing as ghetto in Auburn. Instead there are 300k and up homes and golf courses. Ranked #1 in nation for golf thanks to Trent Jones courses here. The main drag college street now has every time of place you could want to eat at near the interstate and the downtown area where college street ends up is very nice and possibly even high end. There are several good places to eat and plenty of shopping, especially if you a girl and want girly things. Trailer parks do exsist however they are a good ways from auburn or the stadium and they are all college kids, they are not ghetto. 99 percent of Auburn is very very nice. The stadium is very big, very loud and clean. People get here on WED. to start tailgating. They have huge, non cow, fields for tailgating and they are always packed with good people who are educated in football. Girls are hot to.

Fri May 30 2008As far as my experience went as a visiting fan, out of respect, I wouldnt recommend anyone to visit Auburn on gameday. The tailgating was a tad bit dull and everything but exciting. There are hardly any pregame festivities, other than The Tiger Walk, which was the highlight of the day. The stadium is original and nice, but nothing spectacular. The town is small, outdated, and run down. There seemed to be no true school spirit, and the fans seem to center their thoughts, more around their chief rival than they do their own. The campus is centered around a nasty and ghettofied downtown area, which is fairly small, which also doesnt provide fans with hardly any places to view the game. And there hardly isnt anything to do, in Auburn, that isnt typical. On the eve of the game, you even wonder if a game was actually taking place in that town on the following day, in addition to that, every restaurant and store has just as many anti-Alabama paintings and such as they do Auburn. Unfortunat... Read more

Wed Sep 19 2007As a visitor in 2000 I wasn't overly impressed with the atmosphere. The fans are abnoxious, arrogant, and really suffer from an infuriority complex. While some hostility towards a rival should be expected, one shouldn't come as close to as many physical altercations as I did on my visit. As far as the scenery goes, Auburn has a very simple, yet charming, campus. The women, well atleast the ones with all of their teeth, tend to be quite attractive. I can honestly say that some of the finest women in all the world attend AU. The stadium itself is decent, I believe I attended after it had gone under serious renovations, but not really original. Kind of a generic feel to it. The crowd was impressive to look at, as I would guess nearly 90% were dressed in orange. The eagle is one of the dumbest traditions in all of sports, but it got the stadium louder than any other part of the evening. Too bad it was pregame. During the game the crowd isn't as loud as you would expect in a stadium of it'... Read more

Fri Aug 31 2007Wow Ive read as many bamer rewiews on J-H than AUBURN, and we are obsessed, hhhhhhmmmmmmmmmm. Well I guess they know where to come to watch a real team play when we are not beating them in Tuberville-denney stadium, WAR EAGLE!

Mon Aug 13 2007Hell yes. Best stadium in the world

Tue Jul 31 2007I'm a huge college football fan but I'm quickly losing intrest because of peoples lack of respect for each others teams. There's nothing wrong with cheering your team on but if you have to put down the other team to do so, then you should really just shut your mouth. I've been to Jordan-Hare recently and I thought it was a nice stadium. I wouldn't say it was the best I've been to but it wasn't bad at all. The fans were just like everywhere else, some were great, some not so great.

Sat Jan 06 2007ok its true there are tons of bama fans on here bashing us and making fun of us being the tigers while having a battle cry war eagle. well bama is the crimson tide but have an elephant stomping around on their sidelines? this stadium is beautiful, just like the majority of the sec stadiums so lets just clear that up...

Mon Jul 24 2006To correct footballfan19, Auburn and Alabama have very similar acceptance rates, currently Alabama is planning to increase their enrolment to be the largest school in the state, and Auburn was ranked 85th to Alabama's 104th in the 2006 US News rankings. On to the stadium. I'm biased, but I love Jordan-Hare. It's beautiful inside, with a brand new jumbotron and scoreboard for 2006. The field itself is pristine, with some of the finest turf in all of football. The concourses are newly renovated and bright (there's good sunlight), with plenty of bathrooms, concessions, and beautiful new iron gates around the stadium (no more chain-link fences). The students are loud, and the stadium sides steep. We do have plenty of chants, and a non-scholarship band that is still loud and amazing. Let's not forget Tiger's pre-game flights from the upper deck. The echoes of "It's great to be an Auburn Tiger" sound late into the night after a win, and even after a loss. This is the way colle... Sat Jun 24 2006About the argument that AU has more students than Bama....the reason is it is harder to get into UA, so many people just go to AU. JH is a decent stadium.....I will say I love how the endzone seating is very steep and tall so it traps the noise in. Other than that it is avereage. Sure it is easy to just yell but there is really no chants or anything original at AU. "War eagle hey" is the dumbest thing ever and, AU copied "glory glory" from UGA. Fans tend to be very very rude as well, Overall this stadium is mediocre....at best.

Tue Mar 21 2006Hordan Hair-Dye Stadium is the best rent-a-john for 85,000 cows that I can ever imagine! And they have a coach named affectionately "Wing Nut" who holds the key! Woah Eggle~!

Mon Aug 22 2005Jordan-Hare...pronounced very funny for all you who aren't familiar with Auburn's weird traditions. Things are just pronounced funny in the South period...so its something you have to get used to if you are traveling in. This stadium gets 2 stars for lack of originality. It resembles too many things that others invented (hedges and Glory, Glory), not too mention their multiple mascot obsession. Yes, every Auburn fan will think you are an idiot for thinking that they have more than one mascot, but no Auburn fans...you guys are the idiots. You have a golden eagle that you have named (don't remember and don't really care) and use him in your opening games...as well as Aubie your stuffed animal tiger mascot. You scream war eagle...when your mascot is the tigers...and you don't think people outside of Auburn think that's weird? *Sigh*...get off your high horses...no one gets it, nor cares. Ok...as a school...lets address the 88% acceptance rate that Auburn boasts. I mean come on! ... Read more

Mon Aug 22 2005The stadium itself isn't bad. I liked some of their traditions. Before the game people weren't too bad. But after the game some people were nasty and rude for no reason. I won't be going back to the plains.
by tech_blows
Sun Aug 21 2005leave it to people from alabama to not be able to pick a mascot. also, i've never really met anyone who was a real auburn fan. they always just went to auburn because they were too stupid to get in somewhere else. now, to the stadium. It has absolutely nothing distinguishable from other stadiums. They stole the hedges, and the city is completely forgettable. Oh yeah don't forget to toilet paper a tree. That's the way the students have a good time there. They also freaking worship some crappy street corner. majestic!
by aubrandon
Sat Aug 20 2005ALL IT WOULD TAKE IS TO STEP INTO JORDAN HARE ONE TIME WHEN AUBURN IS PLAYING AN SEC RIVAL TO SEE THERE IS NO OTHER PLACE THAT EVEN COMES CLOSE EXCEPT FOR TIGER STADIUM IN BATON ROUGE. WAR EAGLE 13-0 THE REAL NATIONAL CHAMPIONS AUBRANDON
by auburnfan
Fri Aug 12 2005Alabama fans talk like auburn is crap...but wait...doesnt auburn have more students than alabama...yes they do...hmm....that shows alot ....and plus the campus is much nicer, clean, and doesnt smell like trash(tuscaloosa). Alabama, at least we can beat yall in our own stadium. Go worship the bear like all yall do
by jtotheg
Thu Aug 04 2005You auburn idiots that are talking about the only ones that are voting low for your crappy stadium are the bama fans, but if you look at byrant-denny the only ppl that voted low for it are the auburn fans. Anyways here is my rant... Ok so I did manage to go to jordan hare stadium one time and that was one time too many. I actually stepped in a cow patty walking to it. When I got inside the stadium I realized it was actually a decent view with the livestock on the field. Then I realized those were your cheerleaders grazing. It does get loud I'll give you that, but your home record is dismal to say the least. You have gotten stomped by that likes of usc, bama, lsu, you pretty much name it, they have beaten you...bad. Anyways you auburn fans need to get off this obsession with bama. You are and will always be the state of alabama's second best team, and the university of alabama's little brother.

Fri Jul 08 2005Great sight lines. This place rocks.Fan support is 2nd to none.. Only Bama fans rate JH low
by jmantyger
Fri Jul 08 2005It is humorous to read spuat (scandal plagued university of alabama at tuscaloosa) fans run down Jordan Hare stadium. They accuse AU fans of being obsessed with spuat, but who do we find on a thread about AUBURN's stadium? Obsess much?
by jimmie
Sun May 01 2005Auburn has one genuine claim to fame. Without a doubt it is the world's biggest high school. Auburn fans have never defined themselves by anything other that what happens to Alabama. I remember the first time I ever visited Auburn (that was back in 1966). The first thing we saw (or rather smelled) that indicated where we were was the Auburn Swine Research Facility.

Thu Nov 11 2004Terrible fans? A true college football fan should know better. Every SEC school is a 3 or better and Auburn is a 5!!
by autigernatl
Fri Sep 24 2004Notice..only the Bammer fans rate it low. This is a great lace to play college footballl
by fikus9
Thu Sep 16 2004Alabama fans that are jealous have trashed the rating of this stadium. Jordan-Hare is rich in tradition, and is one of the most beautiful stadiums I have ever seen (If you dont believe me, check out an aerial photo), and Im a Georgia fan! P.S. When Auburn is on, this stadium ROCKS!
by alascott
Wed Jul 28 2004terrible fans; tiny town in the middle of nowhere

Tue Jun 22 2004so so, not alot of trad, i mean i know they play alab every year, but in order to get a 4 or 5 you have to have a great stad, and trad that dates back decades not just a few good seasons
by excelsior30
Wed Apr 14 2004I can agree with Stringmusic24 as this is a great campus to be in. The aerial view found on worldstadiums.com is outrageous, but it is miles away from popularity as Notre Dame Stadium is considered the best by MSNBC.
by stringmusic24
Sat Mar 06 2004If you've ever see an aerial view of Jordan-Hare and the surrounding campus you'll understand that this is one of the best stadiums in the country.

by roberth_isl
Tue Sep 30 2003The home team has lost four in a row in the Ala-Aub series. Bryant-Denny and Jordan-Hare are both vastly overrated by each sides fans in terms of any intimidation factor.
by jagman28782
Sun Sep 14 2003Low rating not only because I'm an Alabama fan, also because Auburn fans are genuinly horrible fans.

Mon Jul 21 2003all i have to say is that on the day that auburn plays bama the stadium alone is the fourth largest city in alabama..that's power! war eagle!!
