John is honest and most of his pieces are direct and honest.

John makes a lot of sense. Most of the people that hate him do so because he used to be standard New York liberal and, after examining many things with an open mind, he is no longer a liberal. He's my favorite reporter.

Pretty good investigative journalist, for TV. He has developed his own editorial schtick entitled, Give Me a Break! It has been syndicated, I saw it on the Jewish World Report.

The best journalist they have at ABC and one of the few fair & balanced journalists outside of Fox News.

Stossel is a straight-forward reporter who pulls no punches.

Has an Axe to grind and an agenda to put forth.Skewers research and surveys to fit his needs. Makes some good points but his style and arrogance overshadows everything else.

Enjoy his reports, likes to get into the meat of a report and get at the truth. I disagree that he would be good on Fox News, as he is too honest, and doubt he would agree with the very conservative 'spin' of Fox News, he actually WOULD be fair and balanced, and that would put him at odds with his bosses! Does seem like he is not friendly with Barbara Walters however, seems a tad nasty to her on air.

How in the world did this guy end up at ABC? They must keep him around as a token reminder of what journalism truly is. This guy is a diamond laying in a pile of dung.

John Stossel would be a great fit for Fox News. He claims to be a straight shooter, but he is clearly a man who says "How high?" when corporations tell him to jump. After being exposed for lying and factual distortion in a piece over GM foods, he clearly has no creditability as a journalist and should not be given any TV time really. Why is he still on the air? Because he specializes in telling corporations and right wing AynRand wackos what they want to hear. If he was really honest, he would have been whacked right after the GM foods story.

I respect Mr. Stossel for his longevity. However, he is a second-stringer. Boring.

Whiny, obnoxious little twerp who is not above ignoring or distorting factual data if it stands in the way of his making a point. Accuracy in Media recently pointed out a number of factual misstatements and flat out lies that he represented as fact in his last television special. I'd like to give him a break...right across his whiny little peevish lying mouth.

Stossel is the only realistic investigative reporter, he's the only one that doesn't goes around scaring the hell out of people, but rather showing people that's we live in earth not heaven or hell. There should be a few more like him.

The only contrarian, non-statist investigative reporter in the U.S. It seems that every other reporter gets its talking point from government bureaucracies. Stossel started his career like that, but then had the intellectual honesty to start questioning the usual enviro and consumer safety scare stories. He's doing incredibly important work...
