Pretty sad that John Ritter passed at just 53. It really was shocking to hear that he died so suddenly, especially considering he has a wife and young child.

John Ritter was so human and so funny. There really was something special about him. He played many different parts including a memorable one in Slingblade. He always made me laugh and seeing him onscreen gave me a good feeling. Now when I see him i feel his death was too soon.

On 8 Simple rules without Mr.Ritter, its so different, and not as funny without him.Even though its re-runs, its still not the same. Can anyone tell me what caused his death, Im doing a project on him for school and the internet says 30 different things, like "he died from a heart attack" or "he died from a stoke" :S Thanks<3

8 Rules is a different show without him. And not a very good one

You should think of the person away from the show. Listen to those that knew him. He was a very nice guy, compared to other Hollywood A-Listers. He was very popular among the fans.

Seemed like a good guy. Can't really say I was overwhelmed by his performances, but that may be the fault of the material.

this was so sudden. it just wasnt expected cuz he was still young. it was even more sad cuz it was misdiagnosed and by the time it was realized it was too late. whether he had talent or didnt have talent he obvously made quite an impact on the people in his life. his family his friends and those he worked with

    Below-average actor benefitting from the post-death love-fest.

IT's been over a year since he died and I still miss him. He was a great comedian and now his show 8 simple Rules is no longer watchable without him. RIP!

I rarely saw Three's Company as I'm only 18, but in his more recent movies and sitcoms, he seemed very down-to-earth and sweet. AS most have said, as a comedian he wasn't at his best, but as an actor, he was good.

Seemed like a good guy, but didn't really impress me much as a comedian. However, he was truly at his best in more dramatic roles. Hollywood is worse off with him gone.

John Ritter was such a positive, good-hearted human being, and so witty. I hate that he is gone. I don't know how those who knew him can stand his unexpected absence from their lives.

Didnt know he passed away. Always seemed he tried too hard to be funny. In real life he was probably funnier than his shows. How did he die?

I cried when I saw the interview with his wife. Especialy when she talked about their young daughter yelling at God to give him back. When she told her daughter that it wouldn't work... she told her mother Well you won't know until you try! He was a great, talented and well loved man!

I'm sorry he died. He seems like he was a decent person. But I regretted more deeply the loss of Johnny Cash, that hugely talented country singer.

John Ritter seemed like a nice enough guy. However, Three's Company was a terrible, unfunny show and Mr. Ritter was also in a lot of equally terrible, unfunny movies.

Too be honest, even though I did mourn John Ritter's death, I thought I would be the exception. I was wrong however, there were alot of people that were tremendously depressed by his death. I was really shocked.

He seemed like a nice enough guy but I wasn't particularly a fan. I was taken aback at the outpouring of grief expressed by people I know, especially my co-workers, when he passed on. How could a humble TV star so profoundly touch the lives of millions. It's not like he won on American Idol or anything.

yes he was a great man, but people need to get over it. no one really talked about him or knew him for anything other than that guy on 8 simple rules so it is not fair to think he is theis wonderful guy when you really did not know him.

I'm surprised that he didn't have more dramatic roles. He was very good in Slingblade. Seemed like an all-around nice guy.

I was saddened by his death. He was young and there was no warning to his illness so he could have that chance to be saved. He seemed like a real nice guy. He left a children behind and a wife.

His death was such a shock, probably the biggest shocking celebrity death of 2003. He died too young, but he left a legacy of some great work.

This really saddened me-not because I thought his work was great or even enjoyed it. But because he was os young and it was so unexpected. It really tore me up that he left behind such young children and a beautiful wife without a father and spouse.

One half-talented comic more or less doesn't make a bit of difference to me.
