You bet I'd vote for them! I really like John Edwards, and he would garner some votes for John Kerry in the South. UPDATE: Yay! I'm so happy Kerry had the sense to pick Edwards! Not my faves but I'll take the guy who (1) wasn't a drunk or a drug addict, (2) actually has a real understanding of war and didn't lie about his service- and he did lie, (3) has a level of respect from the international community, (4) doesn't always kiss Israel's ass, (5) is actually a political centrist unlike the Prez. Wake up, people. . .you've been had.

No, I want real people, not BS. I don't like that not voting for the body armor I wore thing, either. UPDATE: A centrist? What are you on?

John Kerry and John Edwards do not want an America that supports the middle-class, they want an America that's an extension of Europe. The Kerry/Edwards ticket has no intention of leading America as a strong and powerful country, but rather as a country that is so wrapped up into being politically correct, that the only people that will have rights in this country are members of the looney left. Another thing that's misleading about Kerry/Edwards is that they say hope is on the way. In reality, George W. Bush and Dick Cheney have already brought hope and as a result- it's still morning in America.

I would never vote for Kerry, although I did like Edwards the best out of all of the democratic candidates. He's the only likeable candidate and seems like an average guy. However, he does have some serious downsides. He is really unqualified to be vice President. He has little experience. Dick Gephardt, although a nasty figure, was actually a better candidate for VP. He's got the support of major unions and has tons of experience. Gephardt would have done better debating with Cheney than Edwards would have. Edwards seems like a good guy, he just doesn't have enough experience yet.

As a republican, I'm glad to see Edwards on the ticket. Democrats and the left leaning media can only feign interest and endure so many mind numbingly boring Kerry speeches without needing some interesting and well delivered political rhetoric. Edwards will provide that, but his extreme dearth of political and foreign policy experience will become so obvious to everyone that he will be the first VP nominee since Quayle to really hurt a ticket.

Kerry's selection of John Edwards seems to indicate that the Democratic campaign wants to fight this election on economic issues. Like Magellan stated, I don't think they have the right approach to the matter, in fact, some of our economic problems were brought on by Bush's protectionist policies. It would be smart of the Democrats to focus in on more equitable tax reform and improving the competitiveness of domestic industry by reducing health care costs for workers and encouraging a better standard of living for the middle classes. The Democrats have a chance to get out this simple and very effective message. The Democrats haven't had an effective electoral strategy for the past 25 years in large part because they have lost their voice in economic affairs; they keep going down the path of protectionism rather than encouraging a genuine growth economy. Kerry and Edwards what a great team!!!!Love it.

I think Edwards was probably the right choice, but I'm not a big fan of the direction the Kerry campaign is heading. I'm hearing more and more populist language coming from the Kerry camp. More and more protectionist talk, and more and more posturing about 'keeping jobs in America' (how do you do this? by taxing the crap out of companies that have employees in other countries. NOT good for the economy). Edwards is certainly not going to pull Kerry back towards the middle in terms of his economic policy, but he may add a little energy and charisma. With McCain backing Bush, I guess Edwards was the next best option.

Hey guys, Kerry finally made up his mind on something, but he picked the guy who disagreed with him during the primary race...Go figure...SAD!

Not thrilled about Kerry but I like Edwards; I think he is very down to earth kind of guy who could really get the job done. I think he would be a wise choice for Kerry. This is our best bet to get Bush and his little clan out of the White House.

Edwards adds youth, charisma, and excitement as well as a Southern voice. I am not sure Kerry can win without him and winning is the aim of the game. Kerry should put aside any fears he has of Edwards' ambitions and go for the gold ring with the best running mate - John Edwards!

This is the most likely combo this fall. Some people think that Edwards will help Kerry in the deep south. This is a fallacy. Kerry will take the black vote anyway.

I actually like Edwards. Still, this is a vote for Kerry.
