Joe Buck is the absolute worst. As much as I would have liked to see a 7 game WS this year, I am oddly relieved that I don't need to sit through more of the boring babble of Joe Buck and Tim McCarver. Buck (and his sidekick...but this is supposed to be about JS) continually feels the need to recap the game as it moves along, treating every moment like every viewer just tuned in and must be brought up to the moment. That's great, if you just tuned in, but not so great if you are sitting down to watch the game in it's entirety and have to relive every single moment multiple times. Then, we have endless nonsensical factoids thrown out at us..."Moreland is the first, first baseman to bat ninth in the post season since 1984". Wow! Really! "Posey has just become the fifth rookie catcher to hit a home run in the post-season". No kidding! These inane comments bore me silly and make it a total chore to listen to Joe Buck. Please, Fox Sports, please put us out of our misery and make... Read more

0 stars Joe Buck SUCKS! What bunch of morons thought he'd be a MLB color announcer? If FOX didn't delay the games I'd listen to them on radio and turn off the TV sound. A prime example of who ya know, not what you know..

Joe buck has ruined post season baseball. I think it would be wonderful to give the honor of calling the post season games to the home teams announcer, instead we have to suffer through this awful guy. His sidekick Mccarver is just as bad. Even though there are only a hand full of MLB announcers I actually like this guy is the only one that I actually dislike. I thought that I was the only one, and that is why he is still calling the games, but it is nice to see that the majority on this site agree with me. So why is he still calling the games? Come on Fox!! Did anyone see the commercial a few years back calling him "The voice of major league baseball"?

Only in America can a moron like Joe can have a job, any job! Fox should be ashamed of themselves for employing him. Anytime my Packers are on and he is calling the game. I turn the volume completely down. He is an arrogant fool with nothing intelligent to say. As indicated above I would rate him a negative 5, but that is not an option.

Joe Buck should be removed from the microphone. You can tell he is thinking of himself during any broadcast. He was so offended when Randy Moss "mooned" the stands in Green Bay, "That was a disgusting act". How pathetic that he was so disgusted in a harmless act that he had to talk about it for the rest of the game. Get a life, Joe.

He's the favorite of every casual sports fan because he announces games like he is one. I have never seen a so-called "first-string" announcer so uninsightful, so bland, and so.....cheesy. FOX needs to pull the plug on this guy sooner rather than later. He is a prime example of nepotism.

Being a Philadelphia fan, I hate this man more then anyone in the entire sports personality world. Any Philly fan will agree with me on that. Everytime he announces an Eagles or Phillies game he talks mad shit on whoever he can. Even when the Phillies won the World series a couple years back he found the negatives and made it seem like they were a bunch of shit heads. Now he has his own show on HBO which will only inflate his aldready giant ego. Im not giving much info to back up why I have such a hatred towards him, but I think thats only because there are just so many examples I wouldn't know where to start. Basically all Im tryin to say is Joe Buck can S a D.

Joe Buck is absolutely the worst. I just finished watching the Saints v. Vikings and Troy Aikman asks the rhetorical question, "what do you think Bourbon St. looks like now?" and of course Joe Buck, with his eagle eye of insight, answers this with, "different than before." Joe Buck is a bloviated, hypocritical d-bag. Please Fox, listen to the people, we can't stand this friggin guy.

A few years ago the MLB allstar game had a tribute to Roberto Clemente. A very moving tribute to the late star. At the end Mrs. Clemente, obviously very moved and in tears stood on the field. Joe Buck, in an impatient, flip sound bite to end the spot, turns to Mrs. Clemente and barks, "So, HOWD YA LIKE THAT MRS CLEMENTE??!!!" Quntessential Buck; it's all about ME, right? Buck is an idiot.

I learn more about sports hearing my dogs bark during the game. Listening to Joe Buck is worse than nails on a chalkboard. He is cocky and arrogant like a Jim Rome, but without the ability to back it up. I'd write more but I have to go change the cotton in my ears as they are still bleeding from hearing his last game calls.

His dad was great, one of the top five all time announcers in baseball. As to this one, well to be crude, the best part of him was a stain on the mattress.

I feel compelled to write just because I don't hate him; looking at this string of 1's you would think he was OJ. While he comes off as arrogant, he's knowledgeable and I can pretty much tune him out and focus on the game while picking up the key points.

Joe Buck is a nano-step above Boob Costas in sports personality douchebags. You may as well have the World Series on mute but Tim McCarver is halfway decent in the broadcasting booth. On a side note, Joe Buck is only 40 years old. He's seriously the oldest looking 40yr old ever.

What a worthless piece of shit. Whenever he announces a Yankee game you wouldn't know they were even playing. He only talks about the other team. Stick to football. You obviously know nothing about baseball let alone how to be objective.. What a fuckfart... Hope you get fired you assbag.

Joe Buck is a douche. Seriously, I know color commentary requires you to talk shit for hours, but it would be more useful for following the game if this turd burglar were to drool on his mic for 180 mins straight than repeat his incessant "insight".

The first time I heard Joe Buck announce a game on TV I thought I like him! How wrong I was, other than Stu Lance, Buck brings the most bias to the announcing booth I have ever seen. He really portrays this image of a little nerd trying to make everyone think he is cool. Like the annoying high school kid who isn't cool, but is loud enough to make up for it. Networks, please drop this guy!

Joe Buck seemed to have a subtle way of putting down the Phillies. I understand that he is being paid to be a commentator. However, he seems to have an issue with the Phillies.

With due deference to previous commenters, I contend that Mr. Buck insults and praises every team or player in every sport he calls in due measure, depending on how they seem to be doing in the game. He will credit a team or player for bad luck or castigate them for incompetence depending on the score at the time. He'll hate a team at the beginning of the game, then act as if the early innings, when he insulted the team, players, and fans, never happened when that team pulls ahead. If the team that is then behind overcomes the deficit in score, he will then act as if he knew it all along that they would. Being a loyal Atlanta fan for many years, I can assure you he is not biased in his treatment. I used to think he hated Atlanta, but after many years realized he was just trying to build up drama in the game, as he would sometimes act as if he was rooting for Atlanta all along. I recommend muting the television and listening to the game on the radio whenever possible when you wish to... Read more

Joe Buck is the black hole of emotion during the World Series. He is arrogant and self serving. What do we need to do to get him out of there? Replace Buck and McCarver with John Miller and Joe Morgan. Here's an idea... I've thought for a long time that MLB should have the announcers for each of the teams during the regular season in the series doing the games when they're at home. For instance; if the Giants were in the series and the game was in SF, Kruk and Kuip would do the announcing. When they're on the road, the other team's announcers during the regular season would do the job.

i hate joe buck so much. he is so terrible. he is such a hacky, nerdy, overdramatic, ignorant know-it-all. GOD he is such an insecure ass that just begs for acceptance constantly. its like watching a young kid try and make the big kids think he is cool. how is he not embarassed when he looks in the mirror? what a shame to his father he is.

I think football is a better pace for Joe. Baseball gives him too much time to think and therefore, screw up. His bias toward the Rays is almost to the point of putting one's nose up Evan Longoria (maybe he's thinking Eva, he better watch out for Tony Parker) a**. Take it easy Joe; having a legend for a father is tough. Just continue to be yourself and you'll be on some out-of-the-way station before you know it..

I hate Joe Buck. Actually, I really like Joe Buck as a broadcaster, however I hate his snobbish money hungry attitude. His Dad could have jumped ship years ago and taken the money and left 1120 KMOK in St. Louis. Instead he stayed on to the bitter end. Joe, however, thinks he is to good for St. Louis Cardinals Baseball....so here's to you Joe! Up Yours you filthy bag of ass. Get back to 550 A.M. where you belong.

Joe Buck just told the entire Fox Sports audience (Cowboys-Browns) that the GU 63 on everybodys uniform stood for Gene Upshaw and his age when he died. Um, Joe his uniform number was 63. This is just the latest example of his incompetence. He never corrected himself either. More of his typical arrogance. I like the mute idea better and better.

Joe Buck really sucks because Joe is the kind of guy that was born on 3rd base and thinks he hit a home run. Joe also thinks his Poop does not stink and frequently criticizes others while announcing a game for their life styles. Joe Buck's elitist wing nut style make him a "safe bet" & a FOX favorite. Joe should deemed toxic waste and unsuitable for public consumption. Joe is now calling the 2008 All Star game and my ears are starting to hurt and I feel sick all of a sudden. I imagine he must be one boring SOB in his everyday life. If Joe was a food he would be a side dish to a shit sandwich.

Is there a broadcaster who more shamelessly reveals his bias and preferences? I mean the guy stopped just short of admitting that he was pulling for the Cowboys last week. Even Aikman, one of the greatest Cowboys ever, called an impartial game. Not Buck. He probably joined TO after his breakdown on the air to commiserate over the loss.

He is without a doubt, the worst commentator ever. Dick Vitale is more bearable than he is, Brennaman is even more tolerable than him. The only solution at this point is to seal his mouth with super glue and replace him with clones of Kruk and Kuip or Miller and Morgan

I hate JOE BUCK. This guy has no business broadcasting baseball. He never played the game and his inane commentary is worthless. I wish he would get busted as a pedophile, sent to prison, get gang raped by some bruthas in the slam, be the recipient of a dirty sanchez, receive a "brown doughnut", then set on fire in the inmate hobby shop/

Joe Buck is rude. He needs to take a English and etiquette class. You don't introduce your co-announcer as "that is" instead of "this is" Tim McCarver. His co announcer is not an object.

I tune in to watch the game, being a fan, I do not need someone to provide UBI's (useless bits of information, constant promos and telling me what I am watching when it is obvious. Joe would not make a pimple on his dad's butt; Jack was a professional; a great delivery made the game interesting. Thank goodness for the MUTE button on the remote. Get a clue Joe. When you do, give one to Tim; past his prime.

Joe Buck is the biggest blowhard in sports casting. His annoying perceptions of things not pertinant and things not even remotely connected to the game at hand is un-nerving. He is soooo irritating that I HAVE TO change to another game. I have even considered watching the Lifetime channel with my wife. Get rid of these broadcasters who think THEY HAVE to be appealing. Here's a hint for you; WE DON'T WATCH THE GAME FOR THE CONVERSATION!

I'm personally sick of FOX in general. First they shove Joe Buck down your throat every weekend, and then, they win the bid for the BCS series. The last traditional sport is now going to be ruined by endless sound affects and Brian Baldinger trying to act like John Madden. Fox is everything that is wrong with today's sports.

He's better suited at performing "oral service" to Troy Aikman than calling football games.

As a sports fan, I shouldn't read these. I always have faith that the general sports public communicating on the web is intelligent. Again, you prove me wrong. Joe Buck has a tough job. Joe Buck does an amazing amount of work. Joe Buck has earned everything on his own. How many of you have been promoted because of someone you know. In reality, you could not do Joe Buck's job(s). You don't have the discipline, the organizational skills, the wit, or the drive to work that hard. No, you don't. Stop arguing with yourself! Get some self-esteem and go try hard at something where your every syllable is scrutinized. Half of you can't communicate with your family, let alone make a game attended by 20 to 100,000 people fit into the small perspectives of your lives. Relax, open another Duff Beer and accept your average fate! It's ok, many people do it! Love ya!
