Jinx Proof

I went here once because I was at the museum and my belly button ring fell out, and i was freaking out and had to buy a new one so it wouldn't close up. The guys were complete assholes. This place is overpriced and the workers are incredibly rude. They sold me a weird belly button ring for 35 dollars, way overpriced, and they acted like it was a deal. Then, they wouldn't even let me put it on it in the store due to "sanitation issues". The guy gave me guff because I was putting it on. I would never ever go here. I hope their store goes out of business, that's just how much I hate this place.

I went to Jinx Proof because I know four people who got a tattoo there, though none of them returned for additional ink. I won't criticize the work. Suffice it to say, the finished product was not what I described. But hey, communication is a two-way street and I accept my portion of responsibility for having a tattoo that looks different than I what explained. I cannot excuse the complete lack of customer service however. Let me clarify, the guy who worked the front desk was brilliant. He asked me questions and took, what appeared to be at least, a genuine interest in my tattoo. Sadly, the artist (the guy who matters) couldn't have cared less about me or my design. For example, he told me, "I could explain the healing process, but I usually forget the details. Take this card. It will explain everything." Excuse me. You "forget the details." Got my first tattoo here and maybe it was because I was a first-timer, but the staff are a**holes. Not all but many are including my artist. I didn't go in with any expectations, but I was treated poorly and like my business was not wanted there. Got my 2nd tattoo and took my girlfriend to get her first at Great Southern Tattoo Co (Alexandria & College Park) and they were amazing. Pretty much everything Jinx Proof wasn't. If you are going to get a tattoo go to them. Friendly, helpful, reasonable prices and a much better atmosphere of customer service and cleanliness.

okay, i just got my cartilage pierced and my very first tattoo at jinx proof. the piercing was really fast and almost painless; you could tell theyve been doing it forever. the ink looks amazing. the only reason you would get a sub part tattoo from this place is if they have to wrestle you to be still. if you make it easy for the artist, they can do incredible things.

This IS the BEST place in the DC Metro area to get inked!
