Despite the 'new age' re-writing of history, everyone knows Jesus was Hebrew! And, He was Hairy!

I suppose that if you are looking for evidence of this you need look no further than the touchdowns he has bestowed on NFL running backs and the Grammy Awards he has granted to R&B singers.

Black, White, Chinese, African, Greek, Hispanic does it really matter? Knowing what pigmentation he was, doesn’t suggest anything or change the facts about him! He was through the Bibles depiction the son of God, that was crucified, so that all may live! He was crucified so that all may have forgiveness for their sins and be at peace with God! Well that’s what I believe and have no regard to what color he was!

I must say, I do not care for the way the rating key is phrased, but to each their own. This is absolutely ridiculous to even care what the skin color or ethnicity of someone else is. Jesus Christ was of Jewish decent, and He may have been darker skinned because He was in the sun a lot with all of His travels. But dark skin doesn't always determine ethnicity. "Weird theories" is right. Jesus died for all... red, yellow, black, white, etcetra. But in all honesty, I do not believe Jesus was black. The most important thing to remember is He is the King of Kings, and the Lord of all.

Might as well have been pink with purple polka-dots for all the good it does. Of course, if he was black, he'd probably have AIDS http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/44005516/ns/health-aids/ according to an early version of Mark (called the Secret Gospel of Mark). Let's review! First of all, the genealogy in Luke is NOT Mary's genealogy. Both genealogies (Matthew and Luke) are of Jesus' real father, Joseph. It even says so in the text, duh! The reason the Church says that Luke's genealogy is Mary's is because it is so different from the one in Matthew that the Church was afraid that people would figure out that one of them was totally wrong (of course, both probably are, but what the hey...). The point is that it didn't matter doodley-squat what Mary's genealogy was; the house is not determined by the mother. In fact, by the earliest accounts, Mary was from the tribe of Levi. The whole reason for the genealogy was to support the claim of Jeezer being from the line of David, so he could be ... Read more

*Psst* Jesus was Jewish. The Jews are G-ds chosen ones. Deal with it. Joseph (According to tradition; Jesus' step-father if you want to get technical) was the son of Jacob, from Matthan, from Eleazar, from Eliud, from Akim, of Zadok, of Azor, of Eliakim, of Abiud, from Zerubbbabel, from Shealtiel, from Josiah, from Amon from Manasseh, from Hezekiah, of Ahaz, from Jotham, of Uzziah, from Jehoram, from Jehoshaphat, of Asa, from Abijah, from Rehoboam, from Solomon, from David from Jesse, of Obed, from Boaz, from Salmon, from Nahshon, from Amminadab, from Ram, of Hezron, of Perez, from Judah from Jacob son of Isaac, son of Abraham father of the monotheistic faiths. Since you probably just skimmed that, I highlighted some of the notable names. Mary, Jesus' mom, was from the tribe of Judah and was related to Elizabeth (John the Baptists mother) by marriage, this is noteworthy because Elizabeth was of the priestly tribe of Aaron. Mary was of Heli, from Matthat, from Levi, from Melki, from... Read more

Really, who cares! That is a very carnal way of thinking if this matters to you. However, it is common sense he was not white. Update: Maybe he was white or black, maybe he was Asian, perhaps he was a mixture of all... At this point people can only speculate on a issue that is unimportant and means nothing.

Wasn't it Redd Foxx who said (and I paraphrase), "Of course Jesus was black. You don't walk around Israel 30 years without wearing a hat and stay white."

JC is usually portrayed with Anglo-Saxon features in many paintings. However, it is more likely that the historical Jesus was likely short and with Arabic features. Either way, doesn't really matter what He looked like. It's all about the message.

I have it on good authority from Rufus, the 13th Apostle, that this is absolutely true. I wonder if the "Christians" in the KKK are aware of this...
