The chosen people(jews)were to welcome the messiah(redeemer)according to their scripture the signs were there to recognize Him,keep in mind the pharisees, scribes(sanhedrin)were held in high esteem by the nation as we all are aware pride and envy have ruined men down through the ages. They(jewish authority)at this time despised roman occupation, culture, and most certainly its citizens and waited for the Son of God to rise up for His chosen people(who spent forty years in the desert for ingratitude to God's mercy of delivering them out of bondage amongst other things)and destroy their enemies and the jewish nation will then become world conquerers and took literally the doctrine the'kingdom' of heaventhinking this kingdom will be built in Jerusalem. That's why Jesus came to fulfill what was taught by the fathers of the faith to staighten out any ambiguity;e.g the sixth commandment thou shalt not commit adulteryThey(jews)thought this meant if you do not commit the act but entertained the tho... When Jesus came to earth as a human, He was born into a Jewish family so was a Jew. Jesus loves the Jewish people, and so does He also love the Gentiles. Initially, the Jews were God's chosen people, now anyone who gives their life to Jesus is a chosen child of God. There is no Jew nor Gentile in Christ. So I am very weary when someone has the opinion that the Jews will end up being superior, the Gentiles are inferior, God still favours the Jews over the Gentiles etc. I'm sure anyone who believes this could give me verse after verse to prove why they are right, but all as I know is that God is love and there is no discrimination in Christ. In fact, the book of James forbids favouritism, and I don't believe he was just talking about the rich over the poor. It is also wrong to favour someone just because they are a Jew. I feel a real presence of almost hatred when I see that some people believe that Jews are still superior. That was once true but Jesus has broken down those barr... Read more

Jesus loves the Jewish people. Even though they reject who he is and even though they crucified him through their actions in dealing with the Romans Jesus loves them with no greater love.

Jesus was hated by the jewish people for good reason. Jesus was a jew who strayed from his religion and therefore started his own religion saying he heard God speak to him and he is son of god etc... Jesus proclaimed himself a mesiah in front of the Jewish people and was proven false. Why shouldnt the jews hate him. By jewish law a flase mesiah should be killed.

Jesus was hated by SOME Jewish people - but certainly not all. Think about it - just who do you think his first followers were?
