Mon Apr 04 2011Pfft. . . I've heard it from my opponents. I take it as a compliment in most cases.

Thu Sep 23 2010“Well I'm gonna to go then! And I don't need any of this. I don't need this stuff, and I don't need *you*. I don't need anything. Except this.” “And that's the only thing I need is *this*. I don't need this or this. Just this ashtray... And this paddle game. - The ashtray and the paddle game and that's all I need... And this remote control. - The ashtray, the paddle game, and the remote control, and that's all I need... And these matches. - The ashtray, and these matches, and the remote control, and the paddle ball... And this lamp. - The ashtray, this paddle game, and the remote control, and the lamp, and that's all *I* need. And that's *all* I need too. I don't need one other thing, not one... I need this. - The paddle game and the chair, and the remote control, and the matches for sure. Well what are you looking at? What do you think I'm some kind of a jerk or something! - And this. That's all I need.” (Steve Martin - as Navin Johnson)

Thu Sep 23 2010Less effective than 'idiot' or ' dumbass', but when you add a suffix like 'off' it rates up there with 'cretin' and 'poltroon'.

Fri Jun 29 2007Understood, but I can think of far more colorful terms to use when I want to insult someone.

Fri Jun 29 2007Although I don't think it's nice to call people names, I've certainly heard a lot worse.

Fri Jun 29 2007When my fiance calls me this, I follow it up with the word off. "Jerk." Off." I usually get smacked up side the head for it, but it's fun!

Fri Jun 29 2007Whoever came up with this list obviously attended at least one of my ex wife's family reunions.

Fri Jun 29 2007Unimaginative, but it does get the point across.

Sun May 07 2006Still PC around the office and is able to convey a lot depending on the inflection and whether or not "stupid" is used in conjunction with it.

Sat Apr 16 2005Better than some bad names, but I don't like calling people names anyway. Only good when used against evil/ill-mannered men.

Sun Jan 25 2004CastleBee said it sounds east coast, so maybe I was from there in a former life. This is one of my good old stand-by's. You can use it while driving, while watching sports on t.v., or just out walking. Never loses its freshness.

Tue Sep 02 2003I've always liked this. It sounds kind of east coast, ya know?
